Tony Awards Winners: ‘Kimberly Akimbo’ Takes Best Musical; ‘Leopoldstadt’ Named Best Play – Complete List

Kimberly Akimbo was the big winner at the 76th annual Tony Awards, which were handed out Sunday night in New York. It won five awards including Best Musical and Lead Actress for Victoria Clark.

Leopoldstadt won four Tonys including Best Play, tying for second-most with Some Like It Hot. See the full list of winners below.

Julie Comer and (Prima Facie) and J. Harrison Ghee (Some Like It Hot) took Lead Actress and Actor in a Musical, respectively, and Sean Hayes won Lead Actor in a Play for Good Night, Oscar, which was that shows lone win – as was Comer’s for Prima Facie.

Almost 300 Gold Derby readers predicted the nominees in the top eight races at the Tony Awards. In total, our Users logged over 2,200 predictions. To see how you fared, log in to your account and under your profile picture click on Tony Nominations 2012.  One User, Kevin P McAnarney, outdid everyone scoring 89%. Two Users -- Steven Cuevas and Erica Ryan -- scored 87% while Tom O'Brien and Joshua Long came in at 86%. Six more Users were tied at 84%: Amanda Hutt, joshawk, jimm528, Nathan Vernon, S M Orlosky and Larry Gervitz.  Leading the way among our dozen Experts with 84% each were Gold Derby executive editor Paul Sheehan and Matt Windman (amNY) while Thom Geier (Entertainment Weekly) was at 83%.
