The new trailer features the movie's theme song "Iris Out" performed by Kenshi Yonezu . The official website of AnimeJapan 2025 revealed the line-ups for its main stages on Jan 17, 2025.

This year’s event will feature four main stages—Red, Green, Blue, and the newly introduced White stage, hosting a total of 52 programs over two days.

An overview of the stages can be viewed below:

Red Stage & Green Stage: These are closed stages with designated seating. Attendees will need both an admission ticket and a stage viewing ticket to watch programs on these stages. Blue Stage & White Stage: These are open stages. The front-row seats for viewing will be designated seating, requiring both an admission ticket and a stage viewing ticket. However, free viewing areas are available at the back, though space is limited.

It was also revealed that some stage programs will be streamed online. Further details about the streaming schedule and availability will be revealed in the coming weeks.

The Apothecary Diaries is a newer release anime based on a light novel series of the same name, and it's wildly popular with shojo audiences and fans of political intrigue. Maomao and Jinshi's story takes place in a fictionalized Imperial China, in the Emperor's Inner Palace. There are many players in and outside the palace, and all the characters are well-written and contribute to the complex plot.

The protagonist, Maomao, bridges the gap between two vastly different, but equally intricate, worlds. She is an integral worker in the Inner Palace, but she was raised around Verdigris House. Toei Animation's metaverse project Onn'on Studios will hold a virtual event "Virtual Anime Fes" using VR space at 15:00-17:00 on January 27 (Jst) / 22:00-24:00 on January 26 (Pst). Toho Animation's long-awaited anime adaptation of the popular light novel series The Apothecary Diaries has received a new update.

A new trailer for the upcoming series, which highlights its animation and provides a more detailed look at its plot and characters, has been shared by studio Toho Animation. The series will premiere later this month with the first three episodes.
