Outstanding Game Show

Weekly Commentary: “Jeopardy” and “Wheel of Fortune” are likely the favorites in this race. However, “That’s My Jam” is getting a big push by NBC, which could make it a possible spoiler.

Sex Pistols’ Johnny Rotten Calls President Trump a ‘Possible Friend;’ Outraged Fans Declare ‘Punk Is Dead’
Donald Trump
President Donald Trump has an unlikely friend in former Sex Pistols frontman Johnny Rotten.

Asked about the president in an interview with ITV’s Good Morning Britain on Monday, the punk icon said he saw similarities between himself and the president, some of whose supporters view him as an anti-establishment figure.

“One journalist once said to me, ‘Is he the political Sex Pistol?’ In a way,” said Rotten, 61, whose real name is John Lydon.

The singer admitted Trump was a “complicated fellow” but slammed the “left-wing media” for branding him a racist.

“There are many, many problems with him as...

Bradley Cooper, Rachel McAdams, and Emma Stone in Aloha (2015)
Outrage Watch: Is 'Aloha' the most offensive movie of the year?
Bradley Cooper, Rachel McAdams, and Emma Stone in Aloha (2015)
Welcome to Outrage Watch, HitFix's (almost) daily rundown of entertainment-related kerfuffles. Not anxious enough already? Get your fix of righteous indignation below, and stay posted for outrage updates throughout the week. It's been a bumpy ride for Cameron Crowe's "Aloha." Not only did the film get ravaged by former Sony Pictures chairwoman Amy Pascal's prior to release (in emails made public thanks to the Sony hackers), it suffered dismal reviews and underwhelming box office this weekend, bringing in less than $10 million domestically. But the internet isn't done slamming this movie yet, particularly when it comes to the casting of white actor Emma Stone as a quarter-Hawaiian, quarter-Chinese character named Allison Ng. "Isn’t it so cool when a former white savior character [Stone in 'The Help'] gets to show her range by being a mystically exotic non-white savior character too?" snarks Jezebel's Jia Tolentino. Vulture's E. Alex Jung, meanwhile, suggests that a...

The 10 Best Tweets About Gwyneth/Chris Martin 'Uncoupling'
Chris Martin
The Goop website announced that America's Sourhearts Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin are separating -- er, "consciously uncoupling" -- after 10 years. Avast: Another sliding door is opened. Twitter took to the news with some decent cynicism. Here are the 10 best tweets I found about the separation, plus one of my own to start it off. Put on "The Scientist," weep, and take it all in. Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin are getting divorced, citing "insufferable similarities." — Louis Virtel (@louisvirtel) March 25, 2014 "Chris, I have Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck on the line for you?" "Put them through." — Richard Lawson (@rilaws) March 25, 2014 Their lawyers are all: "My client didn't like 'Mylo Xyloto' very much." "Well *my* client didn't like 'Thanks For Sharing' very much!" — bobby finger (@bobbyfinger) March 25, 2014 If posting a letter asking people to respect your privacy during your divorce, plz realize the irony of posting it on your...

‘Red Dawn’ Remake Can Not Catch a Break
The New York Times and other major outlets are reporting Kim Jong-il, the North Korean dictator for two decades and “perhaps the last personality cult in the Communist world,” is dead. Kim Jong-il, believed to be 69, was ill after a reported stroke in 2008 and said to suffer from heart disease.

The diminutive, reclusive “supreme leader” continued his father’s policy of “military first,” forcing his country into poverty to fund a threatening nuclear program. His son, 27-year-old Kim Jong-Un is the heir apparent during this period of unrest.

The White House issued a statement Sunday evening: “We are closely monitoring reports that Kim Jong Il is dead. The President has been notified, and we are in close touch with our allies in South Korea and Japan. We remain committed to stability on the Korean peninsula, and to the freedom and security of our allies.”

Naturally, Twitter and other social media...

Kim Kardashian Divorce Jokes: The Best of Twitter
Kim Kardashian
Kim Kardashian's quickie divorce gave all of Twitter a target as huge as her famously ample [edited for obviousness]. Also read: Kim Kardashian Wedding: $250K for Each Day of Marriage But a funny one. The speed and profitability of Kardashian's 72-day marriage yielded many a solid joke at her expense.  "@KimKardashian is getting divorced," tweeted for MTV...
