Exclusive: William Moseley (The Chronicles of Narnia franchise) and Mark Valley (Boston Legal) are leading Luca Elmi’s new film Hostage, a thriller that will soon wrap principal photography this week in Kentucky.

Written by Drew Ingram and produced by his Stagmoor Studios, Hostage follows a charismatic politician’s road to the governor’s office as it takes an unexpected twist when he becomes embroiled in a high-stakes hostage situation that forces him to confront his past and threatens to derail his path to power.

Moseley stars as ‘Logan Marshall,’ a man in his prime; a rising political star and the Independent candidate in the upcoming Kentucky gubernatorial election. The kind of politician every voter wants to believe in, a proud Kentuckian, handsome, young, charismatic, and commanding, with a supportive wife, Clara Marshall, and their daughter, Amelia, by his side. But beneath the surface, Logan is a man barely holding it together.

France TV Distribution has closed several territory deals for Sylvain Desclous’ “The Victoria System,” starring Damien Bonnard and Jeanne Balibar.

The film has been acquired by Spentzos in Greece, Divisa Red in Spain, Arna Media in the Cis, Nk Content in South Korea, Avjet in Taïwan and Mars in Turkey.

The film centers on David Kolski, who is overseeing the construction of the highest tower ever built in France. The developer’s constant pressure, crushing delivery delays, overworked employees… David lives in a hurry.

One night, while returning home for dinner, he meets a woman of astonishing beauty who captivates him. He is mesmerized. This woman is Victoria. Ambitious and intelligent, beautiful and independent, the human resources director for a multinational company, she runs her life as the ones of her employees, with an iron hand. Immediately, David also finds himself trapped in this fascinating system.

“A few weeks ago we thought there would a decent amount but, wow, there’s a lot”, one packaging agent told us.

They continued: “After a busy EFM, once again it feels like a healthy market in terms of product. The early responses from the sellers and indie buyers has been good. Those international distributors have re-stabilised their business somewhat, more so than the streamers. We’ll know more in a week but at the moment there are plenty of decently priced projects with meaningful actors, directors and scripts, and there is a good spread of projects.”

Exclusive: France tv distribution has acquired world sales rights for Romuald Boulanger’s upcoming bio-pic Mansour, capturing the journey of celebrity tennis player Mansour Bahrami’s from post-Revolutionary Iran, to exile and poverty in France, and then fame on the international circuit.

Iranian actor Amir Jadidi, who is best known internationally for his lead performance in Asghar Farhadi’s 2021 Cannes Grand Prix winner and Oscar-nominated drama A Hero, will play Bahrami.

Romuald Boulanger directs and produces under the banner of his Paris and L.A.-based company R-Lines Productions with UK-based Unconditional Pictures.

Mel Gibson's On the Line is making the rounds online as viewers ponder the meaning of the movie's ending.

Directed by Romuald Boulanger and released on November 4, 2022, On the Line tells the thrilling story of a radio host who gets an in-station call from a threatening individual. 

This leads to the reveal that the caller kidnapped his family and has plans to blow up the entire station, resulting in a tense 104 minutes that leaves viewers with questions from start to finish.

Exclusive: Saban Films has acquired U.S. rights to the Mel Gibson thriller On The Line, in which the Oscar winner portrays a radio host confronted by a hostile caller.

In the film, the anonymous caller threatens to kill the host’s entire family while he is on air. To save loved ones, the radio host has to play a survival game over the course of one night and the only way to win is to find out the identity of the criminal.

The film is director, writer and producer Romuald Boulanger’s second feature following his 2020 debut Connectés.

On The Line also stars Kevin Dillon (Entourage), Enrique Arce (Terminator: Dark Fate), William Moseley, and Nadia Farès (Luther). The film is currently in post-production, with Saban Films planning a November 2022 release.

Mel Gibson has signed on to star as an iconoclastic talk show host in Romuald Boulanger’s thriller On The Line, that starts production in Paris today (June 9). It has already secured key territory sales through Fortitude International.

Boulanger is a former French radio host whose Connected was acquired by Amazon France last year.

Gibson portrays a radio host confronted with a hostile caller over the course of a single night. The cast includes Kevin Dillon, Enrique Arce, William Moseley, and Nadia Fares.

The Munich-based independent picked up three titles from the Highland Film Group; action movie veteran Renny Harlin’s heist thriller Misfits, now in postproduction and starring Pierce Brosnan, Nick Cannon and Tim Roth, and two projects in pre-production The Lair and Not Without Hope.

Horror The Lair, directed by Neil Marshall, is about a fighter pilot shot down in Afghanistan who ends up in a disused bunker full of mutated monsters.
