Sara Mayer-Fried

Watch out—My Stuffed Animal will get you!
Murder is something to toy with in My Stuffed Animal Is A Monster, an independent horror/comedy premiering this Friday, September 25 in New York City. The movie was written and directed by Joe Fiorello and executive-produced by him and Andre Halikias, who are partnered in Most Epic Triumph Films (and co-producers of the upcoming Low Budget Pictures spoof Taintlight).

The story concerns a couple of detectives (Mark Dunn and Kate Holland) investigating a series of grisly murders, and following the trail to Jane (Sara Mayer), a young woman with an unhealthy attachment to a stuffed toy she calls Sammy. That obsession causes more than her relationships to fall apart, as it soon becomes clear that Sammy is in fact a bloodthirsty creature. The premiere takes place Friday night at Manhattan’s Anthology Film Archives (32 2nd Avenue); the cast and crew arrivals begin at 9:30 p.m. and the screening starts at 10:30 p.
