Created by writer and director Shana Feste (Country Strong, Run Sweetheart Run), who co-penned the script along with Jennifer Besser, the six-episode erotic podcast follows Moore as one-half of a dying marriage. Demi Moore is to star in and produce starry scripted podcast series Dirty Diana, which is being billed as “a new form of erotica” and will bow July 13.

Created during lockdown by Run Sweetheart Run and Country Strong writer-director Shana Feste, the six-episode series will tell the story of a dying marriage and how two partners find their way back to each other through perseverance, connection, and sex. The drama will portray sex and longing from a female gaze, with female pleasure at its center, according to the producers.

Starring with Moore are Claes Bang, Betsy Brandt, Mackenzie Davis, Carmen Ejogo, Max Greenfield, Dayo Okeniyi, Penelope Ann Miller, John Tenney, Rhys Wakefield and Dolly Wells, with cameos from Gwendoline Christie, Chris Diamontopolus, Lena Dunham, Melanie Griffith, Ava Grey, Andrea Riseborough, Rosa Salazar, Lili Taylor and Lesley Ann Warren.

Following its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, Shana Feste’s Run Sweetheart Run (from Blumhouse Productions and Automatik) has been acquired by Amazon Studios, and with Covid-19 preventing theatrical releases, it's been announced that the film will instead be released on Amazon Prime Video.

Amazon Studios has acquired Blumhouse Productions and Automatik’s “Run Sweetheart Run,” a thriller that premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year.

Written and directed by Shana Feste, “Run Sweetheart Run” stars Ella Balinska, Pilou Asbæk, Aml Ameen, Dayo Okeniyi, Betsy Brandt, Clark Gregg and Shohreh Aghdashloo. The film was also a 2020 SXSW Film Festival feature selection before the festival was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Exclusive: Blumhouse and Automatik’s supernatural movie Run Sweetheart Run, which made its world premiere at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, is heading to Amazon Studios and Prime Video, Deadline has learned.

The streamer picked up the movie, written and directed by Shana Feste and originally scheduled to have a theatrical release via Blumhouse Tilt on May 8. Run Sweetheart Run had also been selected to be part of this year’s SXSW.
