5 Things You Need To Know About Grey's Anatomy: B-Team
Image
Sure, you're familiar with "Grey's Anatomy," the longest-running medical drama in TV history that premiered on ABC in 2005 as a humble mid-season replacement. Shonda Rhimes' soapy, steamy, and delightfully over-the-top hospital drama, led by Ellen Pompeo as the eponymous Dr. Meredith Grey, follows five surgical interns as they begin working at a major hospital in Seattle; after those interns become residents and attendings, the show keeps introducing new incoming intern classes as they're thrown headfirst into one of the most daunting and intense professions around. So, uh, what the heck is "Grey's Anatomy: B-Team?"

In January of 2018, a webseries called "Grey's Anatomy: B-Team" hit ABC.com, giving audiences a closer look at the 14th season's intern class. Introduced after the first few episodes of said season, Dr. Levi Schmitt (Jake Borelli), Dr. Sam Bello (Jeanine Mason), Dr. Casey Parker (Alex Blue Davis), Dr. Vikram Roy (Rushi Kota), Dr. Taryn Helm (Jaicy Elliott), and Dr.

Every Peacock Original Movie Of 2024, Ranked
Image
Peacock did not release as many original movies in 2024 as streamers like Netflix or Disney+ did, but it did have an interesting mix of feature-films and documentaries for subscribers throughout the year. While the streamer is known for being the home to everything that originally aired on NBC, its also the streaming home for new releases from Hallmark, and has a huge library of true crime documentaries.

In 2024, Peacocks original movies included a childrens movie, a remake of an action classic, and a story inspired by true events. Outside of those three movies, all of the rest of its feature-length content were documentaries. Most of it was definitely worth a watch by subscribers.

Many of these Peacock originals have since been made available to rent through other platforms, like AppleTV.

Will there be a Cross season 2?
Image
If there’s one thing we needed, it was a convincing Alex Cross. Well, we got him in the form of Aldis Hodge in Cross, the Prime Video series.

The eight episode first season is now available to stream on Prime Video in full. Yes, this is a binge-watch, and you want to watch it without any spoilers.

There is a lot that remains faithful to the books, including the inclusion of Alex’s best friend, John Sampson. This character was missing from the movies, and showrunner Ben Watkins made it clear it was important to include him. After all, there are layers that come with this character.

Many will question Alona Tal’s Kayla Craig, whose name is similar to Kyle Craig. Is this just a gender swap of this character, or is it someone else entirely? That’s something we definitely need a second season to find out.

Unlike some celebrities who were beauty queens first, there are some famous people who got their start on reality shows. One perfect example of that is Ariana DeBose, who has spoken out about her mostly forgotten reality show origins.

Apple's WondLa Tells a Charming, If Familiar Story
Image
Based on the books by Tony Diterlizzi, the new Apple TV+ series WondLa follows the trilogy’s first book, The Search for WondLa. Set in the future, Eva (voiced by Jeanine Mason) has spent her entire life in an underground bunker known as the Sanctuary, far beneath the earth’s surface. Like many Disney movies, the series kicks off with Eva’s early years, racing through her life until she turns 16.

The charming series, developed by veteran House of Mouse producer Bobs Gannaway, follows another Disney tradition by centering on a parent-less teen. Eva was raised by Muthr, a Multi-Utility Task Help Robot. On her sixth birthday, she’s promised that once she passes her “final test,” she will get to walk through the big door in her bunker to the Earth’s surface, where she will meet her family.

Prime Videos Alex Cross Show Gets Glowing Review From Author James Patterson

James Patterson praises the upcoming Cross adaptation as edgier and more realistic about police work. The show features a familiar cast alongside lead star Aldis Hodge. Cross fits into Prime Video's trend of action dramas with strong protagonists like Jack Ryan and Reacher.

The upcoming Cross adaptation has gotten a glowing review from author James Patterson before the show's debut. Set to arrive on Prime Video later this year, Cross is headlined by Black Adam star Aldis Hodge. The project, which hails from Skydance Television, the company behind the streamer's popular Reacher adaptation, was formally announced in January 2020 and has taken time to reach audiences. Grey's Anatomy Ignored The Perfect Way To Keep Andrew DeLuca Alive
Image
DeLuca's death in Grey's Anatomy was unnecessary, robbing fans of a beloved character's potential future. Reuniting DeLuca with his ex-girlfriend could have provided closure without a tragic death storyline. Giacomo Gianniotti deserved a more respectful ending for his 6 years of dedicated portrayal of Andrew DeLuca.

Grey's Anatomy missed the perfect opportunity to keep its beloved doctor, Andrew DeLuca, alive. DeLuca was first introduced in season 11 of Grey's Anatomy, as a young intern eager to prove himself at Grey Sloan. He eventually finds himself falling in love with Meredith Grey, as well as blossoming into a respected surgeon with a strong moral compass. Because of how much personal growth he displayed throughout his six years on Grey's Anatomy, DeLuca became a character that audiences empathized with and rooted for.

His death in season 17 was both shocking and devastating, as it marked the definitive conclusion of his time on Grey's Anatomy.

Somewhere, a finger on a monkey’s paw curled as the world is inflicted with Megamind vs The Doom Syndicate.

Taking place mere days after the original film, Megamind (Keith Ferguson) is adjusting to...

Amazon’s Alex Cross Series Starring Aldis Hodge Renewed for Season 2 Ahead of Series Premiere
Image
Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming series based on James Patterson’s Alex Cross novels is being renewed for Season 2, Variety has learned from sources.

The show, which stars Aldis Hodge as Cross, has yet to debut its first season or even set a premiere date. But according to sources, Amazon was impressed enough with what they have seen from the first season to greenlight the second and begin casting. Jeanine Mason has reportedly already been cast in Season 2.

Reps for Amazon declined to comment.

If “Cross” proves to be popular, it would be the latest successful Amazon series based on a long-running novel character. The company found themselves with a massive hit on their hands courtesy of “Reacher” starring Alan Ritchson, based on the Jack Reacher novels written by Lee Child. Likewise, Amazon’s longest-running series to date was the cop drama “Bosch,” based on the Harry Bosch novels written by Michael Connelly.
