Exclusive: Christopher Lowell (Promising Young Woman), Jeanine Mason (Upload), and Wallace Shawn (The Princess Bride) have wrapped on the Colorado production of The Man Who Changed the World, a drama spanning generations that’s inspired by the story of visionary entrepreneur Lawrence “Bud” Stoecker.

In the film directed by Greg Pritikin (The Last Laugh), Lowell and Mason play a young couple navigating the trials of marriage, parenthood, and personal legacy. “The Librarians: The Next Chapter” is launching on TNT with a two-night premiere event starting Sunday, May 25.

As a spin-off of the original “Librarians” series, “The Next Chapter” follows the time-traveling Vikram Chamberlain (Callum McGowan) who finds himself stuck in the present. The official synopsis reads: “When Vikram returns to his castle in Belgrade, Serbia and discovers that it is now a museum, he inadvertently releases magic across the continent. With the help of a new team of eclectic heroes, including a savant in world history, a scientific genius, and a highly skilled Guardian, Vikram has only six months to clean up the mess he made.”

The twelve-episode series features McGowan (“Jamestown”), Jessica Green (“The Outpost”), Olivia Morris (“Hotel Portofino”) and Bluey Robinson (“Britannia”), with Christian Kane reprising his role as Jacob Stone. Peacock did not release as many original movies in 2024 as streamers like Netflix or Disney+ did, but it did have an interesting mix of feature-films and documentaries for subscribers throughout the year. While the streamer is known for being the home to everything that originally aired on NBC, its also the streaming home for new releases from Hallmark, and has a huge library of true crime documentaries.

In 2024, Peacocks original movies included a childrens movie, a remake of an action classic, and a story inspired by true events. Outside of those three movies, all of the rest of its feature-length content were documentaries. Most of it was definitely worth a watch by subscribers.

If there’s one thing we needed, it was a convincing Alex Cross. Well, we got him in the form of Aldis Hodge in Cross, the Prime Video series.

The eight episode first season is now available to stream on Prime Video in full. Yes, this is a binge-watch, and you want to watch it without any spoilers.

There is a lot that remains faithful to the books, including the inclusion of Alex’s best friend, John Sampson. This character was missing from the movies, and showrunner Ben Watkins made it clear it was important to include him. After all, there are layers that come with this character.

Many will question Alona Tal’s Kayla Craig, whose name is similar to Kyle Craig. Is this just a gender swap of this character, or is it someone else entirely? That’s something we definitely need a second season to find out.

A fiendish serial killer is compiling a “masterpiece” in the new trailer for Prime Video’s Cross — and Aldis Hodge’s titular crimesolver is determined to stop him.

In Cross, which is based on characters from the James Patterson novels and is shepherded by Burn Notice vet Ben Watkins, Hodge (Leverage) plays Alex Cross, who is uniquely capable of digging into the psyches of killers and their victims, in order to identify — and ultimately capture — the murderers. Alex is “brilliant, flawed, and full of contradictions,” per the streamer. “A doting father and family man single-minded to the point of obsession when he hunts killers.

Amazon has finally dated the upcoming series Cross, a crime thriller that's based on James Patterson's Alex Cross novels. The show getting its premiere date comes four years after the project was first announced in 2020.

On social media, Amazon unveiled an official poster for Cross, which will be a streaming release for Prime Video. It includes an image of lead star Aldis Hodge in the role of Alex Cross, the protagonist of the original books, with crime scene tape highlighting the name of the series. Prime Video has set the premiere for the Aldis Hodge-led and produced crime thriller series Cross for November 14.

From Paramount Television Studios and Skydance Television, Cross is a complex, twisted, pulse-pounding thriller created by showrunner and executive producer Ben Watkins, based upon the characters from James Patterson’s best-selling Alex Cross book series.

Cross follows follows Alex Cross (Hodge), a detective and forensic psychologist, uniquely capable of digging into the psyches of killers and their victims, to identify—and ultimately capture—the murderers.

Based on the books by Tony Diterlizzi, the new Apple TV+ series WondLa follows the trilogy’s first book, The Search for WondLa. Set in the future, Eva (voiced by Jeanine Mason) has spent her entire life in an underground bunker known as the Sanctuary, far beneath the earth’s surface. Like many Disney movies, the series kicks off with Eva’s early years, racing through her life until she turns 16.

His death in season 17 was both shocking and devastating, as it marked the definitive conclusion of his time on Grey's Anatomy.

Prime Video has revealed the teaser trailer for the Amazon Original Cross and announced that the series will return for a second season. From Paramount Television Studios and Skydance Television, Cross is a complex, twisted, pulse-pounding thriller created by Ben Watkins, based upon the characters from James Patterson’s best-selling Alex Cross book series.

The first season of Cross will premiere later this year exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

Joining the season two cast are Wes Chatham, Matthew Lillard (Five Nights at Freddy’s), and Jeanine Mason (Grey’s Anatomy); Johnny Ray Gill (Underground) will be upped to a series regular role.

It’s been over four years since Variety exclusively reported the news that a TV series based on James Patterson’s “Alex Cross” books was in the works. Finally, fans have a first look at Aldis Hodge in the title role.

Amazon released a trailer for “Cross” at its 2024 upfront presentation, during which the company also confirmed previous reports that the series had already scored a Season 2 renewal.

The actress and comedian first revealed the news on Instagram, sharing a photo of the season premiere script. The episode is titled “Outlook Good” and written and directed by showrunner Michael Patrick King, and O’Donnell revealed that her character’s name is Mary.

While no date has been set yet for the premiere of Prime Videos Alex Cross series, Cross, the show has already been renewed for a second season, according to inside sources. The series stars Aldis Hodge in the lead role, portraying the famed detective and forensic psychologist who appears in the James Patterson novels. The move comes following the success of other literary properties that were turned into shows for Prime, including Reacher, and Bosch.

According to Variety, sources say that Amazon was so impressed by what they saw of the first season of Cross, that a second season was ordered, and casting is underway.

Jessica Biel and Elizabeth Banks will engage in a bit of sibling rivalry as the leads of Prime Video’s newly greenlt adaptation of Alafair Burke’s 2019 mystery novel, The Better Sister.

The Better Sister is described as electric thriller about “the terrible things that drive sisters apart and ultimately bring them back together.” Biel will play Chloe, who moves through the world with her handsome lawyer husband Adam and teenage son Ethan by her side, all as her estranged sister Nicky (Banks) hustles to make ends meet while trying to stay clean.

The tech giant’s Prime Video streaming platform has ordered a second season of Cross, a drama starring Aldis Hodge and based on James Patterson’s best-selling novel series about a detective and forensic psychologist who delves into the minds of killers in order to catch them. The renewal comes ahead of the show’s debut — a date for which hasn’t been set.

Additionally, Wes Chatham, Matthew Lillard and Jeanine Mason are set to join the cast for the second season. Ryan Eggold, Isaiah Mustafa, Alona Tal, Johnny Ray Gill, Eloise Mumford and Siobhan Murphy star with Hodge in season one.

Prime Video confirmed the renewal at its upfront presentation on May 14 and also released a teaser for the series (watch it below).

Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming series based on James Patterson’s Alex Cross novels is being renewed for Season 2, Variety has learned from sources.

The show, which stars Aldis Hodge as Cross, has yet to debut its first season or even set a premiere date. But according to sources, Amazon was impressed enough with what they have seen from the first season to greenlight the second and begin casting. Jeanine Mason has reportedly already been cast in Season 2.

Reps for Amazon declined to comment.

If “Cross” proves to be popular, it would be the latest successful Amazon series based on a long-running novel character. The company found themselves with a massive hit on their hands courtesy of “Reacher” starring Alan Ritchson, based on the Jack Reacher novels written by Lee Child. Likewise, Amazon’s longest-running series to date was the cop drama “Bosch,” based on the Harry Bosch novels written by Michael Connelly.
