Season 2 of Moriarty: The Devil's Game, titled Moriarty: The Silent Order, is now available exclusively on Audible and continues the story of James Moriarty after his near-death experience. The new season introduces Helen Mirren as the villainous Lady Milverton, a blackmailer and member of The Order who shares their goal of world domination. Moriarty seeks the help of Sherlock Holmes to take down The Order and rescue the woman he loves, who is trapped by the organization in New York City.

The second season of Audible’s fictional podcast taking place in the Sherlock Holmes universe, Moriarty: The Silent Order, just announced a new lineup of actors who will be joining the latest installment.

Helen Mirren, Anya Chalotra, Ross McCall and Arielle Goldman will star alongside the mystery thriller’s returning cast, which includes Dominic Monaghan as Professor James Moriarty and Phil Lamarr as Sherlock Holmes.

Produced by Treefort Media, the 10-episode first season premiered in July 2022. The series’ sophomore season, available Nov. 9 exclusively on Audible, (spoiler alert) picks up six months after Moriarty survives near death at Reichenbach Falls and tracks down the woman he loves in New York City, where she is trapped in the web of The Order — an evil organization that stretches beyond Britain and the Crown, according to Audible.

A stage adaptation of The Pianist, based on the Władysław Szpilman memoir that was the source of the Oscar-nominated 2002 film, is being developed by director Emily Mann with an eye toward Broadway. An industry reading is set for New York City this month with Tony Award winner Santino Fontana (Tootsie) starring as Szpilman.

The project was announced today by producers Robin de Levita Productions, Gorgeous Entertainment, and Wolk Transfer Company. Described as a play with music, The Pianist features an original score by Dutch concert pianist Iris Hond.

The invitation-only industry reading is set for June 23, with Fontana leading a company that includes Richard Topol, Georgia Warner, Claire Beckman, Arielle Goldman, Paul Spera, Addison Finley, Jordan Lage, Robert David Grant and Tina Benko.
