Amy Schumer: Rape Victim-Shaming Like 'Salem Witch Trials'
Amy Schumer in Inside Amy Schumer (2013)
Amy Schumer has spoken out against victim-shaming and criticized Inside Amy Schumer writer Kurt Metzger after he defended a fellow comedian accused of sexual assaults. "[Metzger] gets something from going after people, making them mad. That is not representative of me at all," Schumer told Charlie Rose.

The controversy stems from Metzger's stream of abrasive, baiting Facebook posts in defense of friend and fellow comedian Aaron Glaser, who was recently banned from the comedy theatre Upright Citizens Brigade following accusations of sexual assault. In Metzger's Facebook posts, the comedian questioned the...

Is Her Show Over? Amy Schumer Starts Rumors Amid Controversy
2016-08-18T06:26:44-07:00Is Her Show Over? Amy Schumer Starts Rumors Amid Controversy

Comedian Amy Schumer has been drawn into a social media uproar over a former employee's controversial tweets, and in response, Schumer dropped a cryptic tweet that has some speculating that Inside Amy Schumer might not be coming back to Comedy Central.

The controversy began when comedian Aaron Glaser was banned from the Upright Citizens Brigade comedy troupe following accusations that he had raped several women associated with the group. In response to that event, comedian Kurt Metzger, who had written for Inside Amy Schumer, came to Glaser's defense, suggesting that his accusers might be lying. That led to a social-media outcry for Schumer to fire Metzger from her show.

Schumer's response, still on social media, was to tell people to leave her alone because Metzger doesn't work for her.

I didn't fire Kurt.

Amy Schumer ‘Disappointed’ One of Her Writers Mocked Rape Accusers
Kurt Metzger in Comedy Central Presents (1998)
Amy Schumer has broken her silence on Kurt Metzger, a writer and performer on “Inside Amy Schumer” who has been writing lengthy online posts about another comedian accused of rape. “I am so saddened and disappointed in Kurt Metzger,” Schumer tweeted on Wednesday about Metzger, who has been credited as a writer on her Comedy Central show. “He is my friend and a great writer and I couldn’t be more against his recent actions.” Metzger caught serious flak online after he began writing about Aaron Glaser, a comedian associated with the improv-comedy mainstay Upright Citizens Brigade (Ucb) in New York City.

How Many of Jimmy Kimmel's Mean Tweets Were Real?
Donald Glover
Jimmy Kimmel unleashed another round of his "Mean Tweets" segment featuring movie stars and pop acts reciting insulting tweets written about them. Occasionally this sketch still has fresh moments and surprising reactions. More often it gives us celebrities pretending to make fun of themselves as they read benign or asinine tweets that no one would ever care about. In the past, many of these tweets have turned out to be fake, which renders the whole routine pretty pointless. But does the newest batch of mean tweets pass the smell test? For the most part, yes. It appears the show's producers have heeded the call for authenticity since most of these tweets are legit. Here are almost 100% of the tweets featured in last night's segment. Would you rather: listen to josh groban Or have diarhea ladled into your ear? Hard choice, amirite? — Dan (@dasack) December 27, 2008 Drake looks like voldemort with hair...
