The much-awaited return of the ghost detectives on the silver screen is finally available on Netflix, and the fans seem to love it. Based on the DC Comics characters of the same name by Neil Gaiman and Matt Wagner, the Netflix series is created by Steve Yockey and it follows the story of two ghost detectives who decide not to ascent to their afterlives to stay on Earth and investigate the crimes involving the supernatural. Dead Boy Detectives exists in the same universe as Netflix’s hit DC fantasy drama series The Sandman, and while it is different from The Sandman in its story and visuals, the Dead Boy Detectives seem to be connecting with the fans. So, if you loved the charm and supernatural shenanigans in Dead Boy Detectives here are some similar shows you should check out next.

Christos Nikou’s latest flick isn’t set in some dystopian world where the world is pushed into chaos and people are killing each other for supplies! Instead, Fingernails takes place in a world where two people cannot simply agree that they’re in love unless a test proves it! Yes, you’ve heard it right: You have to take a test to determine whether you’re in love or just fooling yourself. However, like always, some people don’t trust these results.
Take Garth (Varun Saranga), for example. He doesn’t believe in such tests and is convinced that he doesn’t need a piece of paper or a computer to tell him whether he loves his wife or not. On the flip side, there’s Ryan (Jeremy Allen White), who feels the test is accurate. Ryan and his girlfriend Anna (Jessie Buckley) took the test earlier and aced it,...

Spoiler Alert: This post includes details about the series finale of Syfy’s Wynonna Earp.
It all came full circle for the Earp sisters in the series finale of Syfy’s Wynonna Earp. The supernatural series from creator, executive producer and writer Emily Andras, went out with a bang as Wynonna Earp (Melanie Scrofano), Waverly Earp (Dominique Provost-Chalkley) and the rest of the gang gathered for one last family gathering at the homestead.
The final episode “Old Souls,” written by Andras, finally brought Waverly and Nicole Haught’s (Katherine Barrell) long-awaited wedding to center stage. As the soon-to-be newlyweds (a.k.a. WayHaught) prepared the Earp homestead for an intimate ceremony, Wynonna tries on her sister’s wedding dress for cheap thrills. The fun comes to an end when she realizes the wedding gown is impossible to remove, even when a non-Vampire Doc Holliday (Tim Rozon) attempts to cut it off her body.

Wynonna Earp Season 4, Episode 8
Oh, to be a fly on the (probably Zoom) wall of the Wynona Earp writers’ room during the brainstorm session about which Halloween costumes each character should wear in this autumnal holiday-themed installment! Reader, they nailed it. Wynonna dresses as feminist hero Britney Spears (compliment of Waverly for both bringing the costume together and knowing that Wynonna would be into it), and Wonder Woman. Doc is bisexual icon Freddie Mercury. And Waverly… well, Waverly is a ladybug and then an angel. It’s all beyond perfect, and epitomizes just how much fun this slasher episode of Wynonna Earp truly is. Two episodes, and Wynonna Earp Season 4B continues to be… just an incredibly good time? "I don't understand your hip hop numbers!" Gravitas Ventures has released a final trailer for indie comedy Appiness, which is arriving on VOD this month. When Eric and Raj, old high school buds, try to build the next great app and become billionaires - they don't. Their app is called "Connect2U" but this seems to be more of a goofy comedy about how making an app isn't such a good idea. Just days before the second season debuted, The CW also renewed it for Summer 2020, so the littlest network must be getting enough bang for its buck. Now, can the series bear the burden of The CW's faith in it? Will Burden of Truth be cancelled or renewed beyond season three? Stay tuned.

If there's only one takeaway from San Diego Comic-Con 2018 let it be this: The cast of Wynonna Earp knows how to play a good game of truth or dare. E! News sat down with Melanie Scrofano, Tim Rozon, Dominique Provost-Chalkley, Katherine Barrell, Chantel Riley, Varun Saranga, Shmier Anderson and series creator Emily Andras for a round of truth or dare, not to be confused with spin the bottle (*ahem* Tim Rozon). And yes, that moment you went wild for when Provost-Chalkley asked Barrell if she gets turned on during their steamy on-screen scenes is in the full video above. The cast drops some season three scoop, tease what will make shippers go wild and do some pretty good impressions of one another. You haven't...

Just days after its Season 3 premiere, Syfy has ordered a fourth season of cult favorite supernatural Western series Wynonna Earp, Deadline has confirmed. Keeping up its tradition, the news was to be announced during the show’s panel Saturday at San Diego Comic-Con.
Adapted from the IDW Publishing comic book created by Beau Smith, the show follows Wyatt Earp’s great-granddaughter (Melanie Scrofano) as she battles demons and other supernatural beings and uses her unique abilities and a dysfunctional posse of allies to bring the paranormal to justice.
In Season 3, reckless and reluctant warrior hero Wynonna (Scrofano) will lead her team of outmatched outsiders to face monsters, revenants, and their biggest fears as they fight to take down Bulshar before he destroys the Ghost River Triangle – and the world.
Emily Andras developed the series for television and serves as executive producer and showrunner.

Wynonna Earp has always owed a lot to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and this week, it finally gave us vampires.
Wynonna Earp Season 3 Episode 1 was a chance for viewers to catch their breath after Season 2's final moments. It was a return to the familiar, as Wynonna and her team deal with the fallout of Bulshar's return to power.
Over the course of the first two seasons, Wynonna Earp has taken on a distinct shape. Each season starts with slower, more isolated episodes that are much less focused on the season's overarching big bad.
As things progress, the season becomes more and more about larger themes and a broader, more overarching story until things explode in one way or another in the finale.

If you are not already watching Wynonna Earp, there’s no excuse! Season 1 is on Netflix, we’re half way through an exciting Season 2 on Syfy and the big news at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday was that Season 3 is go.
Maddy was able to talk to the cast – Melanie Scrofano (Wynonna Earp, herself), Shamier Anderon (Agent Dolls), Tim Rozon (Doc Holliday), Dominique Provost-Chalkley (Waverly), Katherine Barrell (Officer Nicole Haught), Varun Saranga (Jeremy), Tamara Duarte (Rosita Bustillos), Wynonna Earp creator Beau Smith & show runner Emily Andras at Comic-Con and it was really fun. And while it’s mostly all the questions a feminist teenager wants to know (though we didn’t have a lot of time — so it wasn’t All the questions we wanted answered), we have to warn you there might be some spoilers if you aren’t caught up with the current season.
