Eyes Of Wakanda Ending Explained: How It Ties Into Black Panther, What It Means For Iron Fist, And More
Image
Eyes of Wakanda has just premiered on Disney+, and it changes everything we thought we knew about Marvel Studios' Black Panther franchise.

The series follows multiple characters throughout history as they attempt to retrieve and return powerful artefacts to the isolationist nation of Wakanda. In the finale (which is set in 1896), we're introduced to a Black Panther from 500 years in the future, played by Anika Noni Rose.

The future Queen of Wakanda has travelled back in time because Wakanda and the world have fallen to the alien Horde. She warns Prince Tafari and Kuda that the Vibranium axe they've tracked down must not be returned to her home. By leaving the axe out in the world, it will one day be stolen by Erik Killmonger, drawing T'Challa out from the shadows and ultimately leading to Wakanda revealing itself to the world.

By changing history, Earth now stands a much greater...

Eyes Of Wakanda: The Actor Playing The McU's Female Iron Fist Has Been Revealed
Image
This Friday, Marvel Studios/Marvel Animation releases all four episodes of Eyes of Wakanda, a Black Panther prequel series set in the McU's distant past.

While there's a lot of excitement to see the world of Wakanda expand with this story about the Hatut Zaraze, easily the most intriguing part of the show is Marvel Studios' plan to introduce a new, female Iron Fist (generations before Danny Rand inherits the mantle).

We still don't have a name for the Iron Fist who was first spotted in a new trailer and character poster released yesterday, but Jona Xiao is now confirmed to be voicing the character in Eyes of Wakanda.

The actor broke the news on Instagram, writing, "So stoked to reveal I’m playing the MCU’s 1st ever female Iron Fist! Catch Marvel's 'Eyes of Wakanda,' dropping on Disney+ August 1st!"

Xiao is no stranger to comic book adaptations,...

Return to the Black Panther world in the trailer for the Disney+ limited series, Eyes of Wakanda
Image
Welcome back to the vibranium-rich world of Wakanda as Disney+ unveils the trailer for Marvel Studios’ new animated spin-off, Eyes of Wakanda. The show comes from Todd Harris, who serves as showrunner and director, and he said Marvel let him go “hog wild” on the series. Eyes of Wakanda is a collection of short stories from different time periods of Wakandan history, which Harris refers to as “anthology adjacent.“ The new show is set to be a four-episode limited series that debuts just around the corner, now on August 1.

The series will feature the voices of Cress Williams (Black Lightning) as the Lion, Winnie Harlow (America’s Next Top Model) as Noni, and Anika Noni Rose (The Princess and the Frog) as one of the most “crucial” characters. Other cast members include Steve Toussaint, Patricia Belcher, Larry Herron, Adam Gold, Lynn Whitfield, Jacques Colimon, Jona Xiao, Isaac Robinson-Smith, Gary Anthony Williams,...

Dancing with the Devil – Ryan Coogler Gets Personal in ‘Sinners’ Making-of Featurette
Image
“Sinners came from a very personal place, man.”

Ryan Coogler doesn’t hold back in Dancing with the Devil: The Making of Sinners, the 32-minute featurette that accompanies his latest film on digital and physical media.

The writer-director explains that spending time in Byron, Georgia after wrapping his previous effort, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, planted the seed for what would become Sinners.

“I saw a cotton plantation. I had never seen the plant before in person, and that experience made me think of my uncle, who was from Mississippi. He grew up in his early times as a sharecropper and eventually fled the state and came to California.”

Coogler continues, “We had a very close relationship. He passed away in 2015 as I was finishing up my second feature film, Creed. He never got to see that movie, and I never really properly mourned that loss.”

While considering ideas for his next film some time later,...

Ironheart Star Reveals How She First Learned About Mephisto Debut
Image
Mephisto's big arrival fooled Ironheart's Dominique Thorne until the last minute.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Thorne confirmed she was in the dark about the identity of Sacha Baron Cohen's famed, and much-spectulated, demonic entity during Ironheart's production, addressing the show's own attempt at misdirection in-universe. "I didn't know he would show up until we started filming, actually. We were finally up to that portion of our filming, so definitely the winddown," she said, revealing how "for the duration of the shoot, we had faux names. We talked a lot about Dormammu, and we kind of focused on him but it wasn't until we were getting ready to shoot that scene with Sasha Baron Cohen that I even knew [that was him]."

While Cohen's involvement with Ironheart was rumored for years, fans have theorized about Mephisto joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe for far longer, with both WandaVision and Agatha All...

'Sinners' Has One of the Craziest Connections to McU's Scrapped Original 'Blade' Movie
Image
Ryan Coogler's latest film, Sinners, has proven to be one of the biggest hits of 2025, with the supernatural horror musical film receiving rave reviews and becoming the ninth-highest-grossing film of the year. With a worldwide gross of $365 million, Sinners also stands tall as one of the most profitable original horror projects released this decade. Recently, a new report about the film's production has created an interesting connection to a long-in-development Marvel Studios film. As it turns out, the wardrobe used for some of the extras in the movie was initially developed for Blade, the Marvel Cinematic Universe film that was first announced in 2019.

Sev Ohanian, one of the producers of Sinners, would share an interesting story about the film's pre-production. Given that Sinners is set in 1932, period-accurate set design and costumes were required, primarily because several scenes in the Juke Joint feature hundreds of extras, which necessitated a large number of costumes.

New Blade update may have confirmed the Marvel movie's fate
Image
Marvel Studios' Blade movie has been trapped in development Hell since it was announced all the way back in 2019. The Marvel Cinematic Universe movie has went through multiple directors, as well as some reported rewrites, but it hasn't come to fruition yet - in spite of having a 2025 release date once upon a time. However, it has now been revealed that costumes which were created for the as-of-yet unmade MCU film were used in Sinners, which was released earlier this year, and is also about vampires.

This revelation came from Sinners producer Sev Ohanian, who shared the following statement about the costumers which Ruth E. Carter originally designed for the unproduced Blade movie:

“Ruth Carter was working on the Blade movie that ended up not shooting... At one point that movie was going to deal with, and she’s talked about this before, but at one point that film was...

Ironheart: Marvel Studios Unveils New Official Look At Sacha Baron Cohen As Mephisto
Image
There were rumors that Sacha Baron Cohen had joined the MCU as Mephisto even before Ironheart entered production over 4 years ago, but Marvel Studios never actually made his casting official, and still managed to make his debut in the season finale feel like a pretty big deal.

As expected, the demonic sorcerer turns out to be the one who provided The Hood with his powerful cloak, but when Riri Williams defeats her former ally, Mephisto sets his eye on the budding hero instead.

After a sit-down, Williams strikes a Faustian bargain with "The Devil," with her friend Natalie resurrected in exchange for... her soul? That appears to be the implication, though what this means for Ironheart's "superhero" status moving forward remains to be seen.

Marvel has now shared a new look at Cohen as Mephisto in a brief outtake video. We also have a new teaser spotlighting shots from all six episodes.

Sinners Used Costumes From A Marvel Movie Stuck In Development Hell
Image
Ryan Coogler's "Sinners" might be the biggest vampire film of 2025, slashing its way through the box office to become the highest grossing original film in recent memory, but there's another vampire hunter who has been waiting in the shadows ready to strike: Mahershala Ali's "Blade."

After Ali won an Oscar for his performance in "Green Book," his first order of business was to call Marvel Studios to throw his hat in the ring to play "Blade." That touched off a race to bring the film to life, but it's been stuck in development hell for years, both due to Disney and Marvel's shifting priorities and the writers and actors guild strikes of 2023.

But Marvel's loss turned into a gain for "Sinners." Both films shared Oscar-winning costume designer Ruth Carter, and when "Sinners" sprinted into production, the filmmakers were able to leverage that connection to help fill out the world of the movie,...

Sinners featured period costumes once intended for Marvel’s Blade
Image
Where Marvel’s Blade has faltered, its costumes found a second life in another period horror: Ryan Coogler’s vampire hit, Sinners.

One of 2025’s most acclaimed genre hits, Sinners was such a hit that even its own studio seemed taken by surprise. But in a fascinating glimpse behind the creative curtain, producer Sev Ohanian recently revealed that Ryan Coogler’s horror has a previously hidden connection to another toothsome production: Marvel’s Blade.

You may recall that Marvel has spent over five years trying to reboot the Blade franchise, with Oscar winner (and Jurassic World Rebirth star) Mahershala Ali in the titular vampire hunter role. One iteration of the troubled production, headed up by director Bassim Tariq, was a period piece set in the 1920s – this was likely around the year 2022 or 2023. That incarnation of the film got so close to filming that sets had been built and costumes...

Mahershala Ali Says ‘Leave Me Out of It’ When Asked About Marvel’s ‘Blade’ Reboot
Image
Mahershala Ali is done talking about “Blade.”

While appearing on Vogue’s “Off the Cuff” alongside his “Jurassic World Rebirth” co-stars Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey, Ali dodged the question when Bailey asked how many Marvel films they’ve both starred in.

“Leave me out of it,” Ali joked. “That’s a Scarlett question.”

“Well, there’s one that we’re very excited about,” Bailey quipped back, referencing Ali’s long-delayed “Blade” reboot.

Although the feature comic book adaptation about the daywalking vampire hunter has been in production limbo for the past six years, Ali recently told Variety he remains ready to take on the titular role.

“Call Marvel,” Ali said at the New York premiere of “Jurassic World Rebirth.” “I’m ready. Let them know I’m ready.”

First announced in 2019, “Blade” has experienced a revolving door of actors and directors, with Marvel unable to get the film off the ground.

Mahershala Ali Sidesteps ‘Blade’ Status Questions: ‘Leave Me Out of It’
Image
Mahershala Ali didn’t seem to want to talk about the status of his long-delayed Marvel feature, “Blade.” During an interview with Vogue for “Jurassic World Rebirth,” co-star Jonathan Bailey asked Ali and Scarlett Johansson to list which Marvel films they had appeared.

Ali quickly piped up, “Leave me out of it,’ and Bailey responded, “Well there’s one that we’re very excited about.”

“That’s a Scarlett question,” Ali chuckled. The trio then quickly moved to attempting to name all of Johansson’s MCU features, after which Ali smoothly slid into the next, unrelated question, even as as Johansson asked, “What about you?”

Ali did make one, voice-only cameo appearance in 2021’s “Eternals” as Blade, and since then the character’s solo feature film has been in development hell. Ali was first announced to play the character at San Diego Comic Con in 2019. The project has since been...

MCU’s Blade Costume Secretly Makes It To Ryan Coogler’s Sinners ( Photo Credit – Instagram )

Ryan Coogler’s Sinners, starring Michael B. Jordan, has become one of the most loved movies of 2025 by both the audience and critics alike. The movie, which tells the story of two brothers facing a vampire invasion in their homeland of Mississippi, has a strong 97% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Sinners also marks Michael B. Jordan’s first time playing a double role, as brothers Smoke and Stack. The movie is based on an original story and screenplay; however, there is one particular piece that was borrowed from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

How did an MCU item end up in Sinners?

Sinners Makes History With New Viewing Option for Streaming Debut on Max
Image
After its theatrical success, Ryan Coogler's hit film Sinners is now streaming on Max. This also makes history by offering a new viewing option that's never been done for a streaming release.

Per Warner Bros. Discovery, Sinners has two viewing options available on Max: the theatrical cut and the Black American Sign Language (Basl) version. It's the first time that a streaming service has exclusively debuted a film interpreted in Basl. Wbd has described Basl as a "distinct dialect of American Sign Language (Asl) with its own dynamic history and unique grammar, signing space, rhythm, facial expressions, and cultural nuances."

“Accessibility within streaming is not a one-size-fits-all approach," Wbd's SVP of Global Product Management, Naomi Waibel, said in a statement. "Our goal at Max is to make these great stories accessible to all audiences in a way that is authentic to the content and the communities we serve. Sinners...

One Part Of Sinners Was Originally Made For An MCU Movie That's Been In Development Hell For 6 Years
Image
Ryan Coogler's Sinners is an original movie that took the box office by storm, but not every part of it was wholly original. Starring Michael B. Jordan as twin brothers Smoke and Stack, the movie follows them as they come face-to-face with vampires in Mississippi in 1932.

The movie earned a stunning $365 million against a budget of around $95 million, proving that original movies can still succeed in the post-pandemic landscape with careful budget management. It is also poised to perform well at next year's Oscars, given that it has secured an astounding 97% Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes, alongside its 96% Popcornmeter score.

In an interview with ScreenCrush, Sinners and Ironheart producer Sev Ohanian detailed Sinners' development. While it was renowned for its costuming, Ohanian explained that the costumes were not originally developed for the movie. Instead, costume designer Ruth Carter created them for the Marvel Cinematic Universe's long-delayed Blade movie. Check...

Producer Reveals “Sinners” Bought Costumes From Stalled “Blade” Reboot
Image
The wardrobe worn by background vampires in Ryan Coogler’s runaway horror hit “Sinners” began life on a very different set: Marvel Studios’ long-troubled “Blade” reboot. Producer Sev Ohanian disclosed that the indie production bought “a warehouse full of period-appropriate clothes” from Marvel at cost after the superhero project slipped back into limbo.

Ohanian said the outfits had been built under two-time Oscar winner Ruth E. Carter, who was attached to “Blade” during an earlier iteration set in the 1920s. When that version collapsed, Carter’s stockpile proved a lifeline for “Sinners,” which needed era-specific garments on short notice. He stressed that principal cast members received fresh designs while “a lot of the background actors” donned the repurposed pieces.

Marvel’s vampire thriller has endured a revolving door of writers and directors—losing Bassam Tariq in 2023 and Yann Demange in 2024—before Disney removed it from the release slate and placed the project on indefinite hold.

‘Sinners’ Used Costumes Originally Meant For Marvel’s ‘Blade’ Reboot
Image
If Marvel ever does actually get around to making that “Blade” movie, the studio is going to need a new wardrobe budget, because the costumes originally picked out for the terminally-delated film ended up finding a new home in Ryan Coogler’s acclaimed horror hit “Sinners.”

While talking to ScreenCrush, “Sinners” and “Ironheart” producer Sev Ohanian revealed that some of the characters in the Ryan Coogler hit were dressed in costumes meant for Marvel’s “Blade” reboot. Since the latter film has been plagued with delay after delay, the vampire period-piece was able to make use of the clothing.

“[Costume designer] Ruth Carter was working on the ‘Blade’ movie that ended up not shooting,” he explained. “At one point that movie was going to deal with, and she’s talked about this before, but at one point that film was going to deal with the past around the same era as ‘Sinners.

‘Sinners’ Costume Designer Used Wardrobe From ‘Blade’ Reboot “That Ended Up Not Shooting”

Although the MCU‘s Blade reboot remains in limbo, a piece of the delayed production ended up in the biggest vampire film of the year.

Sinners producer Sev Ohanian recently revealed a “fun Marvel easter egg” from the Ryan Coogler-helmed horror film, which shared a costume designer with the upcoming Blade adaptation.

Sinners Bought A "Warehouse Full" Of Costumes From Marvel Studios Once Meant For Period Blade Movie
Image
When the first trailer for Black Panther director Ryan Coogler's Sinners was released, many people pointed out that it had, in some ways, left Marvel Studios' long-delayed Blade movie surplus to requirement.

Coogler's horror epic was a surprise hit, grossing $364 million worldwide and receiving widespread critical acclaim. However, it being a vampire movie led by a Black actor (with a 1920s setting) wasn't the only thing it had in common with Blade.

During an interview with ScreenCrush, Sinners producer Sev Ohanian shared a "fun Marvel easter egg" when he revealed that many of the costumes used by background actors in the movie were originally planned for Blade when it was being developed as a period piece.

"[Costume designer] Ruth Carter was working on the Blade movie that ended up not shooting," he revealed. "At one point that movie was going to deal with, and she’s talked about this before, but...

‘Sinners’ Used Costumes Designed for Marvel’s ‘Blade’ Reboot
Image
Marvel’s long-gestating “Blade” reboot has officially been pulled from Disney’s 2025 release schedule, but a small piece of the would-be Mahershala Ali vehicle still made its way to the big screen this year.

The troubled film, which was first announced in 2019 before experiencing multiple delays, had enlisted Oscar-winning “Black Panther” costume designer Ruth Carter, who had already assembled a warehouse full of period clothing for the scrapped shoot. But her hard work on “Blade” wasn’t in vain, as frequent collaborator Ryan Coogler soon enlisted her to work on “Sinners,” which required a very similar arsenal of period outfits.

In a recent interview with ScreenCrush (via Variety), “Sinners” producer Sev Ohanian explained that many of the background actors in “Sinners” wore costumes originally designed for “Blade” after Marvel agreed to cheaply sell them to the Warner Bros. production. He also noted that Carter designed specific original costumes for all...

‘Sinners’ Producer Says Costumes Were Purchased From Marvel’s ‘Blade’ Reboot That ‘Ended Up Not Shooting’: They Had a ‘Warehouse Full of Period-Appropriate Clothes’

“Sinners” gave audiences a sneak peek at Marvel’s “Blade” reboot without them even knowing.

During a recent interview with ScreenCrush, “Sinners” producers Sev Ohanian shared a “fun Marvel easter egg” hidden in Ryan Coogler’s vampire thriller. Ryan Coogler's 'Sinners' and McU's 'Blade' Reboot Share a Surprising Connection
Image
Sinners was Ryan Coogler's take on a vampire film and the 1930s setting gave the feelings a unique feel to it while also putting its characters in a historical setting that allowed the audience to know what dangers lurked for Smoke and Stack (Michael B. Jordan). And they weren't just in danger from vampires. But apparently there was a connection to another famous vampire. The Marvel Cinematic Universe's Blade starring Mahershala Ali has been delayed and taken off the release calendar, but according to Ironheart executive producer, Sev Ohanian, the original idea for the McU's Blade was similar to Coogler's vampire flick.

Speaking with ScreenCrush for the release of the Disney+ series Ironheart, Ohanian, who also produced Sinners, spoke about Marvel graciously allowing the Coogler film to buy some costumes that were not being used from the delayed Blade film at price. Ruth E. Carter, an Academy Award winning...

'Sinners' Was Able to Use Period Costumes From Cancelled MCU 'Blade' Reboot
Image
Black Panther director Ryan Coogler has found monumental success away from the MCU with this year’s vampire movie, Sinners. But, it turns out, the filmmaker wasn’t as far away from the world of Marvel as we first thought. Set in 1932 and starring Michael B. Jordan as twin brothers who return to their hometown to find it slowly being taken over by the undead, Sinners shares a surprising connection to the best vampire hunter in the business, Blade. And it’s a connection you will have definitely missed.

The infamous challenge of getting Blade back to the big screen is now well-documented, with the reboot, which is still set to star Oscar-winner Mahershala Ali as the titular vampire hunter, having now gone through several different stories and directions. One such story involved taking The Daywalker back in time, and while this idea was eventually abandoned, Sinners was able to...

Surprising Link Between Sinners and Marvel’s Blade Hints the MCU Reboot May Never Happen
Image
There’s a surprising new connection between the movie Sinners and Marvel’s canceled Blade reboot that’s getting a lot of attention.

It turns out the extras in Sinners wore costumes that were originally made for the Blade reboot starring Mahershala Ali. Marvel Studios sold these costumes to the Sinners production team because Blade was supposed to be a period piece set in the past, so the costumes fit perfectly.

This was confirmed by Sev Ohanian in an interview with Screencrush.

It’s pretty common in the movie world to reuse costumes, but this detail shows just how much Marvel’s Blade reboot has moved away from the original period piece idea.

The connection goes even deeper. Ruth E. Carter, the costume designer for Sinners, also worked on the Blade reboot before it got canceled. She explained in an interview that both movies had similar settings, which is why...

New Unexpected Connection Between ‘Sinners’ and Marvel’s ‘Blade’ Suggests We Might Never See the MCU Reboot
Image
The extras in the new movie Sinners wore costumes that were originally made for Marvel’s Blade reboot starring Mahershala Ali. Marvel Studios sold those costumes to the Sinners team because Blade was initially planned as a period piece set in the past, which made the costumes a perfect fit, as Sev Ohanian confirmed during a Screencrush interview.

This is not that unusual in the movie industry, but it’s certainly proof that Blade’s remake in the MCU is completely dropping the “period piece” direction.

This is not the first time that the connection between Blade and Sinners has been made via costumes.

Ruth E. Carter, the costume designer for Sinners, also confirmed in a recent interview that she had also worked on the Blade reboot before the project was canceled. She said the two films shared a similar setting, which explains why the costumes could be reused.

Sinners Producer Shares Hit Vampire Film's Hidden Connection to Canceled MCU Movie
Image
Sinnersand Ironheart producer Sev Ohanian explains the hidden connection between Ryan Coogler's vampire period hit and an unproduced Marvel movie.

During a recent appearance on ScreenCrush: The Podcast!, Ohanian gave a shout-out to both Marvel Studios and acclaimed costume designer Ruth Carter, who came together to provide Sinners with its signature 1920s-style apparel. "Ruth Carter was working on the Blade movie that ended up not shooting," Ohanian recalled. "At one point that movie was going to deal with, and she's talked about this before, but at one point that film was going to deal with the past around the same era."

"She happened to have a warehouse full of period-appropriate clothes," Ohanian continued, "and it was like, 'Yo, we got to shoot this movie like tomorrow.' And Marvel was generous enough and kind enough to let us basically purchase it at price." Ohanian went on to note that...

Ironheart Showrunner Explains Why [Spoiler] Finally Made MCU Debut in Finale
Image
This article contains Major Spoilers for Ironheart.

Ironheart delved so deep into the supernatural, it's only fitting the finale would feature a Mephisto cameo. The showrunners tease what that means for the character's future in the MCU.

Ironheart dropped its biggest plot twist in the finale; Mephisto was the entity fueling the Hood's powers and motivations. That marked another milestone for the MCU, which has been offering glimpses of its dark dimensions in the Doctor Strange films, WandaVision, and Agatha All Along. Speaking to The Direct, Ironheart showrunners Zoie Nagelhout and Sev Ohanian explained Mephisto's MCU debut; he also could have been a recurring presence in the series, but they saved him for that last-minute cameo.

"The thematic relevance that Mephisto offers just fit into our show so perfectly," Nagelhout said. "This notion of a character who is deeply ambitious, and Mephisto as someone who sort of feeds on ambition,...

Ironheart Producers Reveal the 1 Thing They Didn't Want to Do With Mephisto's Introduction
Image
Ironheart just wrapped up with arguably one of the biggest character introductions to the MCU in years: Mephisto. Played by Sacha Baron Cohen, who was cast in 2022, the Devil-like Marvel villain finally appears in the new Disney+ series, where it's revealed that he is the one who gave Anthony Ramos' Parker his powerful red hood.

To make everything even worse, when Dominique Thorne's Riri Williams finally comes face-to-face with him, she makes a deal with Mephisto to save her best friend's life, Natalie (Lyric Ross).

The Direct's Russ Milheim spoke with Ironheart executive producers Zoie Nagelhout and Sev Ohanian about the character's introduction, how they balanced his screen time, and choosing not to truly show his real form.

'Ironheart' EP Shares Details on Mephisto and Teases More Seasons for Riri Williams
Image
Ironhearthas been given a rough ride by some viewers for a variety of both usual and unexpected reasons. However, in the season finale, the arrival of Sacha Baron Cohen as Mephisto has sparked something that has been waiting to catch first for years. While audiences only get a glimpse of the devil behind the façade – an ingenious moment of reflection, pun fully intended – there is certainly more to come from the dark Marvel deal-maker. While that could happen anywhere, while speaking to MovieWeb’s own George Edelman, Ironheart EP Sev Ohanian seemed to suggest that there is a lot of hope that Ironheart will not become another Moon Knight.

Ironheart has been gaining strong scores from critics, and for those who like their Marvel offerings to be full of the usual big action moments, several plot devices, and dialogue that drips “comic book,” then the series has provided all of that.

Here's How Ironheart Cast That Actor As The Latest Marvel Big Bad [Exclusive]
Image
This article contains spoilers for "Ironheart."

Now that the first (and very possibly only) season of "Ironheart" has drawn to a close, fans of the "Iron Man"/"Black Panther" spin-off series have been left to ponder the uncertain futures of Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) and Natalie Washington (Lyric Ross) in the wake of the former making a deal with a character that could become one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's best villains if they choose to expand this little nook of the franchise. After a series of teases strewn across the first five episodes, Sacha Baron Cohen finally emerged from the shadows as Mephisto, a menacing yet seductive Faustian figure who has been pulling the strings of Parker Robbins, aka The Hood (Anthony Ramos).

The show ends on a cliffhanger, but it would seem to be an awfully big waste to cast a huge name like Cohen and not figure...

Image
The final three episodes of Ironheart are now streaming on Disney+, and Marvel Studios has shared some new poster art highlighting key moments from the penultimate episode, "Karma's A Glitch," and the eventful finale, "The Past is the Past."

If you haven't watched yet, major spoilers follow.

The first poster features Riri Williams squaring off with the now fully powered-up Ezekiel Stane, who is manipulated by The Hood after winding up in prison when his tech is discovered at the scene of John's death.

Zeke allows himself to be transformed into a living weapon, but still retains some of his humanity, and ultimately spares Riri's life.

Next, we have some artwork depicting Riri's fateful sit-down with Mephisto (Sacha Baron Cohen), who makes the budding hero an offer she can't refuse. Somewhat surprisingly, Williams strikes a Faustian bargain with the powerful sorcerer, with her friend Natalie resurrected in exchange for.

Ironheart Is Now Officially Certified Fresh On Rotten Tomatoes
Image
The full review embargo for Ironheart lifted just as the show hit Disney+ with its three-episode premiere last week, and things weren't looking so great for Marvel Studios' latest McU-set series initially.

Though it never seemed to be in danger of being hit with the dreaded green splat on Rotten Tomatoes, Ironheart did start out at 68%, and was hovering around 71% for the next fee days. Quite a few new verdicts were added over the weekend, however, and Riri Williams' first solo outing is now officially "certified fresh" at 86% based on 75 reviews.

Fans have not been quite so positive about the show, but it's worth keeping in mind that critics have seen all six episodes (the final three arrive tomorrow).

Ironheart Star Anthony Ramos Addresses Negativity Surrounding Series As Rt Score Climbs To 87%
Image
It's fair to say that Marvel Television's Ironheart was never one of the studio's most anticipated projects, and even though the recent three-episode premiere did make a few converts, the series continues to be bombarded with a lot of negativity.

Star Anthony Ramos, who plays the villainous Parker Robbins/The Hood, was asked about the backlash to the show during a recent interview, and responded with the following.

“Everybody’s gonna say whatever they wanna say, but at the end of the day we know what we made, and we’re proud of what we made. When you're the first of a thing... well not necessarily the first, but we are different. Hey, at least they're talking about it.

It's worth pointing out that the series has come in for criticism for being too formulaic, and not doing enough to distinguish itself from the usual MCU fare.

At any rate,...

‘Sinners’ in Context: A Study of Influence and Coogler’s Legacy
Image
From Athlete to Auteur Ryan Coogler pursued his ambitions to be a football player well into college. However, while attending Saint Mary’s College of California, an English professor, Rosemary Graham, recognized his talent for storytelling and encouraged him to explore screenwriting. Coogler later transferred to Sacramento State and ultimately enrolled in the USC School of Cinematic Arts, where he directed three short films: 'Locks' (2009), 'Fig' (2011), and 'The Sculptor' (2011), earning him critical recognition early on. Though Coogler transitioned from athlete to artist, the team-oriented mindset he developed as a football player has remained a defining element of his approach to the art form. From the start of his career, he has cultivated a creative circle that has grown with him, film after film. Actor Michael B. Jordan has starred in all five of Coogler’s feature films, prompting comparisons to legendary filmmaker-actor duos like Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro,...

Ironheart: Marvel Shares A Teasing First Glimpse Of [Spoiler] - "On Tuesday, He Finally Arrives"
Image
Ironheart returns for its final three episodes this Tuesday, and Marvel Studios has teased the MCU debut of a certain character with a shadowy first look (via Threads).

We're sure most of you already know who we're referring to, but just in case, here's your spoiler warning.

Fans were convinced that Mephisto would turn out to be the big bad of WandaVision, but the demonic villain was never revealed to be the one pulling the strings in Westview. It's since become a bit of a running joke that the character was being teased in the various Disney+ shows (and even some movies) that followed, but - and even Marvel seems to be fully aware that the cat is out of the bag at this stage - the powerful sorcerer is indeed set to appear in Ironheart, and he is played by Sacha Baron Cohen.

We won't reveal how and when he shows up,...

Ironheart Poll And Spoiler Discussion: What Did You Make Of The 3-Episode Premiere?
Image
Marvel's latest Disney+ series, Ironheart, debuted with its first three episodes earlier this week. Though initial reactions were definitely leaning positive, full reviews have been more mixed, and the show now seems to have settled on Rotten Tomatoes with a so-so 69% based on 55 verdicts.

There was never really much hype behind this one, as Riri Williams simply wasn't a Marvel Comics character the majority of fans had been clamouring to see get her own series. A muted response to Riri's MCU debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever didn't help matters, nor did the trailers that were released in the build-up to the show's premiere.

While it's fair to say that anticipation for Ironheart wasn't exactly through the roof, the premiere does seem to have made a few converts. At the very least, a lot of viewers are curious to see what will happen next after the closing moments of...

Hurricane Katrina: Race Against Time First Look Released
Image

Ironheart puts the heart back into the MCU: Episode 1-3 review
Image
The legacy of Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man lives on in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and while Tony Stark kicked the bucket back in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame, his ghost looms large as a plucky young upstart tries to one-up the billionaire playboy. Hot off her standout introduction in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Dominique Thorne is back in action as Riri Williams. Joining other MCU brain boxes like Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner/Hulk and Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Riri surely has a bright future ahead of her.

As Riri Williams, Bad Girl Genius, Thorne leads Ironheart as an amuse-bouche before we’re catapulted into blockbusters like The Fantastic Four: First Steps and Avengers: Doomsday. While there’s lots of talk about Riri being ‘small’ during Ironheart’s three-episode premiere, this is one series with ambitions that are anything but.

The first three episodes of Ironheart have just landed on Disney+,...

Ironheart Stars Dominique Thorne & Anthony Ramos Tease A Major MCU Debut - Spoilers
Image
The first three episodes of Marvel Television's Ironheart are now streaming on Disney+, and the show's main cast members have been fielding questions about what's to come in the back half of the season.

The actors have mostly kept things pretty vague up until now, but when asked about a major cameo in an upcoming episode during an interview with Et, Dominique Thorne (Riri Williams) and Anthony Ramos (The Hood) were surprisingly forthcoming about a certain long-awaited MCU debut.

“We know how much the fans, and how long the fans, have been waiting for that," said Thorne. "For it to be in this show that they get him, let's go.”

“He's one of the elite actors of our time, too,” added Ramos.

This is probably as far as the interviewer and the actors were willing to go without actually naming the character, but we're pretty sure the majority of...
