Zilla and Zoe is an indie genre comedy from director Jessica Scalise about a ten-year-old girl named Zoe who is obsessed with making horror films. Shot in Portland, the film is set to be released by Indican Pictures starting May 17 at Laemmle Theatre in North Hollywood, California, with the filmmakers in attendance. Zoe, age 10, is obsessed with making horror films. A deadline for a big horror contest is coming up, and Zoe is determined to win. But when her father, concerned about her increasingly gory activities, orders her to stop making horror films and shoot her sister's wedding week instead, Zoe has no other choice... To win the contest of her dreams, she will have to turn her sister's wedding into a horror film.

After a successful film festival run, Zilla and Zoe is set for a wider theatrical run across the United States.

The film will play in several cities beginning May 17th when the film will be at the Laemmle theatre in North Hollywood, with filmmakers in attendance.

Zilla and Zoe is a horror comedy from director Jessica Scalise. In the film, Zoe is an aspiring horror filmmaker, with dreams of winning a horror film contest. When her dad intervenes, Zoe is forced to shoot her sister's wedding. And, this leads to the world's most, gory celebration. Zilla and Zoe stars: Greg James (Between the Trees), Sam Kameraman (The Librarians), Aida Valentine and Kurt Conroyd. A preview of the film's upcoming theatrical release is hosted here. Indican Pictures will host the theatrical launch. On May 17th, Zilla and Zoe will show in several U.S. cities, including: North Hollywood (Laemmel Theatre), Portland, Oakland, San Francisco and Denver. Filmmakers will be in attendance at some of the theatrical showings. As well, Indican plans to release the film, on home entertainment formats, later this year.
