Royce Mann

Updated stats as of 10/20: Royce is 5'10", 135lbs., with 16-20 age range. He is currently a college freshman as an Emory Scholar. Royce was vaulted to fame in the summer of 2016 when his original slam poem, "White Boy Privilege", won first place at his school and went viral worldwide on the internet with multiple celebrities and millions of viewers sharing it on social media with their comments of thanks, praise, and trolling. He was featured on all major US TV networks, CNN and CNN International as well as various radio and print media and on talk shows such as The Preachers and The TD Jakes Show. His second poem, "All Lives Matter, But..." also received worldwide positive attention and was released on a new dance/music video by DanceOn featuring Ian Eastwood. His third poem, "Rise Up", was performed on Lifestream Univision for the Rise Up As One event at the San Diego border and requested by the King family to be performed at Ebenezer Church in ATL for MLK day, which also went viral. He has acted in numerous national and regional commercials and won the 2016 Atlanta Film Festival Pitch Competition for an original screenplay concept. Accomplishments in earlier years include being honored by the GA Entertainment Gala as a Best Youth Artist of the Year Nominee as an Actor and being named Best Actor for the Indie Short Boy in the Box (2011) at age 9 out of over 50 teams in the 48 Hour Film Project. In feature film, Royce plays son to Gina Gershon in The Lookalike (2014), directed by Richard Gray, and stars in shorts on the festival circuit, Gift (2014), Superdog (2015) and Goodman's Salute (2014). He made his professional stage debut at the Tony Award Winning Alliance Theatre at age 7 as Tiny Tim, following in his brother's, Tendal Mann, footsteps. He played the role for 3 years, and has been working regularly ever since in principal roles on screen and stage including numerous national and regional commercials. He has walked red carpets in Newport Beach, Tampa, Orlando and others for Missile Crisis (2011) and Broccoli Monster (2010), and he appeared as Young Tesla in the international-award-winning feature MHz (Megahertz) (2009), and on TV's Good Eats as a Twisted Tiny Tim. He served as a Youth Host on People TV's All the Latest ATL. Royce is shooting his own films via RoyceSolo Productions and Producing via Punch Brothers Prods. in partnership with brother Tendal and in conjunction with Mann Woman Productions, Act Like a Mann, and the Bontrager Twins/Twiin Media -- one being Zombie Crush: A Teenage Zomedy (2013). His co-creation music video Dark Comedy for the band Summer Dare was awarded the top Audience and Jury Awards in Atlanta and was one of the top 13 internationally at Filmapalooza 2013 in L.A. Royce played Young Diego (Young Zorro) to Adam Jacobs' Zorro in the Premiere of the US Adaptation of "Zorro: The Musical" (recipient of numerous 2013 awards), directed by Christopher Renshaw at The Alliance. In 2012, he originated the principal youth role of Young Joe in the World Premiere of Ghost Brothers of Darkland County at The Alliance, working with Stephen King, John Mellencamp, T Bone Burnett, Director Susan Booth and Broadway luminaries, for which he sang a solo, a duet with Tony Award Winner Shuler Hensley and performed Precision High Jump stunt work and was singled out with favorable reviews nationally.

He was a principal in the World Premiere of "I Dream" (Musical Dramatic Arts on The Alliance Stage, winner of Best World Premiere Musical Suzy Award 2010, directed by Jasmine Guy, an all-singing principal role as Young Ronald Allen), "The Red Balloon" and the Beleck Georges project (Bilingual, Theatre du Reve), "1:23" (Synchronicity) and "Bunnicula" (Synchronicity at the Alliance's Hertz Stage). Royce has produced solo films and was the 2016 Pitch Competition winner with a screenplay at the Atlanta Film Festival, receiving the unanimous Judges' decision.

Besides acting and filmmaking, Royce has worked on several political campaigns, was an original organizer of March for Our Lives ATL and is now their Legislative Director, and served as a Student Activist Coordinator for Amnesty International. He was invited to be a performer and featured speaker at The HATCH Experience 2016 and numerous other HATCH events since as a Next Gen leader. In the past, he played on baseball and bowling teams and won awards in each. He enjoys golf and made his first hole-in-one at a major course at age 11. He enjoys spending time with family, hanging out with friends, and traveling the world (Greece, Italy, Costa Rica, Canada, Eastern Europe, and as a youth Peace Delegate to France, Austria, Finland, and Denmark with CISV). Royce is a lifelong vegetarian and has grown up in a cohousing community. His ultimate goals lie in Politics and Community Activism.

Royce is younger brother to actor Tendal Mann and son to actors Sheri Mann Stewart and Barry Stewart Mann.
