Dustin Lane(III)
- Director
- Cinematographer
- Editor
Writer/Director Dustin Lane was born in Redding, California. Although
he considers Seattle, WA. his hometown, he currently resides in Los
Angeles with his wife Sherry Lee.
He has directed Music Videos for The Lords of Altamont, Saint LowJoy, Tahir Jahi, Fight Dirty and Kip Green.
Before completing his first feature film, Dustin wrote and directed three Short Films. "If You Are To Bloom" was filmed in 2007 but was never completed due to reasons beyond his control. Using the same cast, he quickly wrote and filmed "Blue Skied an' Clear" (at The Chateau Marmont in Hollywood no less), which received an honorable mention at The Indie Gathering Film Festival in 2008. The third Short, "Ouija (one)" was released in early 2010.
The Purest Blue, Dustin's first feature film (which he wrote, filmed, directed, and edited), was shot over the course of 6 months with no crew, just he and the actors (Sherry Lee, helped out about 40% of the time with boom mics, lighting and whatnot). Post Production lasted 3 months with the help of Bastien Benkhelil (Post Sound). The film was completed and sent out to numerous Film Festivals at the end of September 2009.
Dustin has also written scripts for 3 other features ("Summer's Almost Gone", "...A Day Gone By" and "Tomorrow Never Knows") and a pilot for a TV Series (called "Break on Through") which he is currently shopping to production companies.
