Exclusive: Dances With Films, the long-running independent film festival in Los Angeles, announced its 2025 lineup today, a program featuring an impressive 254 films.
The festival, which take place June 19-29 at the Tcl Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, will kick off with the world premiere of the drama Do No Harm, directed by Chris Hartwell and starring Harry Shum Jr. and Ronny Chieng. The film, based on the award-winning short The Way That I Take which screened at Dwf: LA in 2020, centers on a burned-out home health nurse who makes a mistake leading to the death of one of his patients. “He tries to bury the truth under a facade of perfection, but the ever-intensifying pressures of working in American healthcare makes it increasingly likely the truth will reveal itself and bring him down.”
