Back in 1975, director Bill Rebane brought the world The Giant Spider Invasion, an independent sci-fi action horror film that managed to get network play on both ABC and CBS, was mocked on Mystery Science Theater 3000, and made somewhere in the range of 15 to 22 million dollars on a budget of $300,000. The rights to the film went up for public auction around seven months ago – but that auction must not have gone in a satisfactory way, because Rebane still appears to have the rights, and in fact, he has announced via the Green Bay Press Gazette that he’s celebrating the 50th anniversary of the film by re-editing it and shooting new scenes!

New Indie Thriller, “Without a Name” directed by Emmett Loverde has a new trailer featuring the song, “This Means War” by Fang.

Fang is an American hardcore punk band from the early East Bay punk rock scene, established in Berkeley, California.

The film stars Jeff Wittekiend, Desi Cruz Brooks, Deborah Johnson, Tom Reed, Cooper Bohn, Elle Coventry, Simon Jon Provan, Dan Davies, Ellie Gerber, Tony Lee Gratz, and Kip Hathaway.

Teenager Calvin gets drawn into a cult that worships youth but threatens adults. His father struggles to rescue him… but Calvin may not want saving.

“Without a Name” is currently on the film festival circuit.

Psycho: The Lost Tapes of Ed Gein Docuseries Coming to MGM+

Ed Gein, the infamous murderer and necrophile, whose crimes inspired Psycho and other major horror movies, will have his story told at MGM+. It's been announced that the streamer has picked up the four-episode docuseries Psycho: The Lost Tapes of Ed Gein with plans to have it premiere in September. The doc is directed and executive produced by James Buddy Day. Jill Latiano Howerton and Josh Kunau are also executive producing for Roots Productions.

"This gripping and disturbing docuseries shines a light on an infamous chapter in our true-crime history,” MGM+ head Michael Wright said in a statement. “Psycho takes an in-depth look at not only the life of one of the most notorious serial killers of our time, but also explores the impact his crimes had on both the victims and our culture.”
