Kalen Gorman, television producer and behind-the-scenes content provider for Ryan Murphy’s Glee, died Tuesday, September 24 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after a battle with breast cancer, according to The Hollywood Reporter, which first reported her death. She was 59.

Gorman was a producer and director on numerous projects including Ladies First with Grace Helbig, You Rock with… and Worst Firsts with Brittany Furlan. But she was perhaps best known for her work on Glee, producing behind-the-scenes content during her stint at Fox Broadcasting, which generated millions of views on YouTube and other platforms.

She went on to produce behind-the-scenes content for Murphy’s anthology series Feud starring starring Susan Sarandon as Bette Davis and Jessica Lange as Joan Crawford, as well as Showtime’s Homeland.

Kalen Gorman, who produced interviews and other behind-the-scenes content for Ryan Murphy’s Glee, entertainment that generated hundreds of millions of views on YouTube and other platforms, has died. She was 59.

Gorman died Tuesday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after a battle with breast cancer, a publicist announced.

Gorman collaborated with actors, hosts, show creators, production crew and others on scripted and improvised marketing shoots that made for more than 300 pieces of content for every episode of Glee during its first five seasons (2009-14).

“I always thought, God, for the fans who love this show, this is what they want to see,” she said in an interview in April. “They want to feel like they’re part of it.”

Gorman later produced behind-the-scenes content for the 2017 first season of Murphy’s anthology series Feud, starring Susan Sarandon as Bette Davis and Jessica Lange as Joan Crawford, and for Showtime’s Homeland.

A new fashion podcast dubbed The Model Pocdast will give listeners an inside look at the industry -- past and present -- with an array of luminary guests. “E! True Hollywood Story” is coming back this fall and diving into the stories of Nxivm and Kim Kardashian West, the cable channel said Thursday.

According to E!, the new season “features self-contained documentaries that explore a topic, headline, or person that became the ground zero for a revolution, change or shift in culture, told by the people who were on the frontlines of the story.”

The network revealed its set the premiere date for Sunday, Oct. 6 at 10/9c and is kicking things off with an episode titled “Nxivm: Self Help or Sex Cult?” According to E!, the installment “focuses on the recruitment of women into the organization and its sub-groups, and the severe impact it had on their lives. This installment also uncovers the secrets and shocking behavior that led to the conviction of deceitful Nxivm founder Keith Raniere and the guilty plea and imminent sentencing of former actor and Nxivm member Allison Mack.

Early Vine star Brittany Furlan has announced her next venture -- a podcast called Worst Firsts inspired by a former YouTube series of the same name that ran through 2017.

In the first episode, Furlan welcomes her husband, Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee, for a candid conversation about their worst first experiences. In the episode, Lee discusses some of his craziest encounters with fans, as well as a story about what he had to do in order to drive a date’s Corvette. YouTube stars Rhett & Link later this year will revert to their original shorter “Good Mythical Morning” daily talk-show runtime — less than a year after the comedy duo have been trying their hand at a longer-form, TV-style format.

The news came at Studio71’s Digital Content NewFronts presentation in NYC for advertisers. The company also announced it’s bringing back “This Might Get,” the daily talk show from YouTube comedians and BFFs Grace Helbig and Mamrie Hart, for a second season, along with a deal with Fine Brothers Entertainment that includes three new original shows and a branded-content partnership.
