Born November 17, 1986 in Lumberton, North Carolina, Lauren's family relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina at the age of 4 for better educational and career opportunities for the family. Learning sewing skills from both of her talented parents from early on, Lauren acquired a passion for costumes and films from a very young age. After Lauren and her Fathers invitation to shadow a costumer for the Outer Banks annual production of "The Lost Colony" during the summer of 2003, Lauren decided that costume design was the growing passion she wanted to pursue. She began volunteering at the Raleigh Little Theater's Costume Shop as well as becoming a costumer for several of their productions during her free time in High School. After graduating, Lauren moved to Savannah, Georgia December 2007 to pursue studies at her dream school at The Savannah College of Art and Design. Lauren majored in Fashion Design with a concentration in Costume Design. She worked on several graduate student films, music videos, and a television pilot while attending school & won "Best Costume Design" at the 2012 Annual Savannah College of Art and Design SCADemy Awards for her work on the Graduate Student Thesis Television Pilot. November 2012 Lauren met and connected with a Key Costumer working on a film locally at the time, which lead to a position as an additional set costumer on her first professional motion picture production. Lauren has since joined the IATSE and continues to work and build her career in the growing film and television industry in Savannah, Georgia.
