If one had to assume, the chances of us ever seeing an actual live-action movie based on the hit Bethesda video game franchise, Fallout, are incredibly unlikely. Yes, there was that script way back when that was a fun read, but the movie was sadly never made. So that basically leaves we the fans one option: make it yourself! And that's exactly what filmmaker Zack Finfrock did, co-writing (along with Brian Clevinger), co-directing (with Julian Higgins), and starring in their own short fan film titled Fallout: Nuka Break with actors Tybee Diskin, Aaron Giles, and others.

But the group doesn't want to stop there—they want to turn their short into a web series, but can't do it alone, so they've begun a campaign for those who want to help see it happen. Be sure to continue on over to the other side where you can see the original short...

Ever notice how most fan films are really serious and feature grimacing heroes? You'd think a Fallout fan film would be the most serious of the lot considering it's one of the most realistic apocalypse video games out there (minus the 50s themed info mercials and what not), but surprisingly it's got a sense of humour as well as all the hallmarks of the post-apocalypse genre.

Synopsis:

Join Twig (Zack Finfrock), a former Vault 10 Dweller, as he searches the barren wasteland of eastern California for ice-cold Nuka Cola. Along for the ride is Ben (Aaron Giles), a radiation-ravaged ghoul, and Scarlett (Tybee Diskin), a sexy former slave. Together, the three attempt to survive both the harsh wastes and a relentless group of bounty hunters while trying to find the coveted beverage -- Nuka Cola.

Hey gang! Check out this entertaining fan-made Fallout short film called Nuka Break, A ten minute short that takes place in the video game franchise world of Fallout.

There's a lot of love and effort that went into the creation of the short, and it ended up being pretty freakin cool. I enjoyed the overall feel of the film! The effects are decent and there's a lot of great little details that add some solid production value to the short. The script is pretty weak, but it's still fun to watch.
