Hip hip hooray! This year, an underrated Netflix original series will be celebrating its 10-year anniversary. Can you guess what show it is? I'll give you a hint. The show's title shares the same exact name of a game you play with friends in a pool. Drum roll, please. It's none other than the period drama, Marco Polo!
The first season was released on Netflix on Dec. 12, 2014. This means that on Dec. 12, 2024, the period drama will be turning 10. Naturally, it would make sense to rewatch the series to celebrate its upcoming anniversary, and that's exactly what we're going to do. You should as well!
Created by John Fusco, Marco Polo is loosely based on the adventures of the real-life Venetian explorer Marco Polo. The story takes place during the 13th century and focuses on Marco Polo's time in the court of Kublai Khan, the Mongolian emperor, to whom he becomes a trusted advisor and friend.

Into the Badlands stars Daniel Wu in the lead role, with Orla Brady, Sarah Bolger, Aramis Knight, Emily Beecham, Oliver Stark, Madeleine Mantock, Ally Ioannides, Marton Csokas, and Nick Frost starring in supporting roles. Wellmania is a fun Australian comedy about health based on the novel by Brigid Delaney in which health is the most important thing, but seen through the eyes of a girl who has not thought about her health once in her life and who, upon discovering this new world, is like some of us when we see a bicycle and ask ourselves: and what’s this supposed to do?
Wellmania About the Series
A nice comedy in the Australian style, starring a great Celeste Barber who is given one of those “roles of her life” and who knows how to take advantage of it with wit and style.

‘Palm Beach.’
The head-to-head clash between Universal’s Palm Beach and Transmission Films’ Danger Close: The Battle of Long Tan last weekend was far from ideal, but both films are positioned to have leggy runs thanks to word of mouth.
Rachel Ward’s Palm Beach opened in third spot behind the fourth weekend of Disney’s blockbuster The Lion King and the second lap of Universal’s Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.
Scripted by Ward and Joanna Murray-Smith, the comedy-drama about a group of lifelong friends reuniting to celebrate a special birthday rang up $1.14 million on 250 locations and $1.23 million with previews.
Starring Bryan Brown, Sam Neill, Greta Scacchi, Richard E Grant, Jacqueline McKenzie, Claire van der Boom, Aaron Jeffrey, Heather Mitchell and Matilda Brown, the film opened 3 per cent ahead of Wayne Blair’s Top End Wedding, which finished with $5.2 million, and at the same level as Jeremy Sims’ Last Cab to Darwin,...

‘Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.’
As a spin-off, Universal’s Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw was never destined to roar out of the starting blocks with the same velocity as the previous editions of the franchise.
But the opening weekend for the action thriller starring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham in Australia over-indexed the Us bow and the worldwide tally was a none-too-shabby $179 million.

Spider-Man: Far From Home features some of our favorite returning Marvel stars, including Tom Holland (Peter Parker/Spider-Man), Jacob Batalon (Ned), and Zendaya (Mj). But there are also some new, insanely attractive faces gracing the big screen with their presence. One of the standout hunks is the character Brad Davis, who competes with Peter for Mj's attention. So, who plays him? Say hello to 32-year-old Remy Hii.
In the comics, Brad is the star quarterback at Empire State University where he and Mj date. But in the McU, he's introduced as a suave ladies' man, amassing countless eye-rolls and side-eyes from Peter. When half of all living things get snapped to dust in Avengers: Infinity War - an event dubbed "the blip" - those who disappear into oblivion don't age within the five years it takes for the Avengers to get back on track and ultimately defeat Thanos. Avengers: Endgame might tie up some loose ends, but it also blasts a gargantuan hole through the wall of possibility for Marvel's fourth phase. Spider-Man: Far From Home is the official final movie in the Infinity Saga, and it's already giving us a glimpse at just how wild things are going to get once we dive into the new McU era. We already know that the film hints at the possibility of a multiverse - an infinite realm in which different versions of our world exist - but there's another anomalous occurrence that the movie addresses: how the heck are Peter Parker (Tom Holland) and his classmates still in high school?
The answer is simple, albeit trippy. But let's first rewind a bit. We already know that Thanos delivers the noxious snap in Avengers: Infinity War and wipes out half the universe, including Spider-Man. After the Avengers suffer from that devastating defeat,...

There’s no endgame in sight for Spider-Man. As played by Brit wunderkind Tom Holland in a whoosh of boyish enthusiasm and lovesick angst, Spidey is flying higher than ever. That doesn’t mean this followup to 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming avoids lapsing into silliness and CGI overkill. (Spoiler: It sure as hell does.) Still, the kid-friendly lightness of the piece is a relief after the tragic dimension of Avengers: Endgame, where those superheroes who weren’t killed wound up losing five years in a Thanos time blip. Far From Home...

As the first movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to be released after the shoot-the-works finale of the “Avengers” saga, “Spider-Man: Far From Home” gets to test-drive a crucial question of blockbuster culture, if not movie aesthetics: What does it feel like to watch a Marvel film in a post-Avengers world? Is there anything at stake left?
There has, on occasion, been something at stake in a Marvel movie, yet rarely does it have much to do with how the end of civilization looms up in these movies. It has to do with that mysterious, hard-to-bottle chemistry of audience and superhero — the flow of actor, character, mythology, and FX concept as they merge and navigate a universe of eye-widening hermetic excitement. On that score, “Far From Home” takes a quantum leap — or maybe just a spider swing — over the first Peter Parker film in the McU, 2017’s “Spider-Man: Homecoming.” (Many...

"Stark made you an Avenger. The world needs people like you." Sony has debuted an official Chinese trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home, the next Spidey sequel in theaters in just about a month. This new 60-second trailer is basically a rehash of the recent full-length trailer, with some extra bits of new footage thrown in. Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker, with Jake Gyllenhaal playing Mysterio. Parker and his friends take a summer trip over to Europe, where they get in all kinds of trouble when Nick Fury (and some other bad guys) show up to wreak havoc. This also continues the McU storyline from Homecoming, and Avengers: Endgame, with one major spoiler appearing in this trailer. The cast includes Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Samuel Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Angourie Rice, Remy Hii, Martin Starr, Numan Acar, and Tony Revolori. Looks like Spidey kept that special suit from Endgame with all the extra appendages.

The CW is still keen on a Jane The Virgin spin-off despite not picking up Jane The Novela and is in talks with creator/exec producer Jennie Snyder Urman to develop another take.
Jane the Novela, from the creative team of Jane the Virgin, was written by Jane scribe Valentina Garza and directed by Brad Silberling. Jolene Anderson and Remy Hii in ‘Harrow’ 2.
Here’s a shout-out to producers: The ABC is keen to find another genre series to fill a gap as Matchbox Pictures’ Glitch comes to its conclusion after three seasons.
The pubcaster is also looking for a multi-generational relationship drama, comedies for Wednesday nights and shows with diverse casts and creatives across all genres.
It is less interested in programs set in small country towns and procedural crime series, particularly with the second series of Hoodlum Entertainment’s Harrow premiering on May 12 and the second season of Bunya Productions’ Mystery Road due to shoot later this year in Broome.
That’s the word from ABC head of scripted production Sally Riley. She hopes the funding for her domain – drama, comedy and Indigenous content – for the next financial year will not be less than the last couple of years, despite the federal government-imposed three-year $83.7 million funding cut.

Jane the Virgin may be wrapping up its story in a neat little bow by the end of the year, but at least there's a spinoff in the works.
Thankfully, a familiar face from the regular series is attached to co-star on the potential new series titled Jane the Novella.
Deadline has revealed that Ivonne Coll, who plays Jane's grandma, Alba, on the soapy CW drama will take on the role of a brand new character on the spinoff.

As previously reported, the new series will be an anthology with each season being based on a different fictional novel written by Jane Villanueva aka the lead character of Jane the Virgin.

"You got gifts, Parker. But we have a job to do..." Sony has unveiled the teaser trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home, the next live-action Spider-Man sequel arriving in theaters next summer. This sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming is also a sequel to Avengers: Endgame (and Infinity War) as it will be released after that movie opens in April, with this arriving in July. Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker, and this time his foe is Mysterio, being played by Jake Gyllenhaal. Parker and his friends take a summer trip over to Europe, where they get in all kinds of trouble when Nick Fury (and some other mysterious bad guys) show up. The sequel's cast includes Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Angourie Rice, Remy Hii, Martin Starr, Numan Acar, and Tony Revolori. This looks seriously entertaining, as Spidey travels to Venice and London and encounters some foes. I'm looking forward to it.

A surprise hit? This ultra-glamorous rom-com about life among the Singapore 1% would be a fantasy, if everything we see weren’t real. Constance Wu and Michelle Yeoh head an all-Asian cast in a celebration of ostentatious excess — yep, some folks aren’t hurting at all. As an expression of Asian ascendency and female power, the show may have opened a door to a whole new empire of crossover ethnic fantasies.
