In a morning tweet that was quickly debunked by reporters – and even a former colleague of Pottinger – Trump wrote today, “The Failing @nytimes quotes ‘a senior White House official,’ who doesn’t exist, as saying ‘even if the meeting were reinstated, holding it on June 12 would be impossible, given the lack of time and the amount of planning needed.’ Wrong Again! Use real people, not phony sources.”

Trump was referring to a Page 1 story in today’s New York Times about the possibility of a meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. Donald Trump is facing blowback after The Washington Post reported that the president gave “marching orders” to White House and Pentagon officials to put on a massive military parade in Washington, D.C.

Trump has spoken publicly and privately in the past about having a parade to showcase the might of the military, most notably after attending the annual Bastille Day military parade in Paris last July with French President Emmanuel Macron. Though the like has since been removed, numerous users screengrabbed a photo of the likes of the onetime Gop presidential frontrunner’s page. The video in question was shared initially by an account called @SexuallPosts.
