NBC’s reality TV show “America’s Got Talent” has been a part of our lives for the better part of two decades, originally debuting in Summer 2006. Season after season, viewers find themselves falling in love with a countless number of auditioners, which is why it’s so gut-wrenching when one of them eventually passes away. In our photo gallery above, we take a moment to remember all of the talented acts who left us too soon, including most recently comedian Kabir Singh. “‘AGT’ deaths: Remembering the contestants we’ve lost on ‘America’s Got Talent'” was originally published March 2022. All of the names listed here are in alphabetical order.

“America’s Got Talent” fans are in a state of mourning as one of their favorite non-human contestants, Mr. Piffles, is dead at age 16. The beloved pooch served as the assistant to Piff the Magic Dragon for more than a decade. Mr. Piffles went to doggy heaven on Nov. 13, 2024.
Mr. Piffles’ trusty human announced the sad news on social media. “For over 15 years I’ve had the privilege and the pleasure of being upstaged and outshone night after night by that little ball of fluffy indifference,” said Piff the Magic Dragon, whose real name is John van der Put. “He came into my life when I had nothing, and set me on the path to a career I could only dream of. In the beginning, I may have rescued him, but in the end, he rescued me. I love you so much Mr Piffles. #RIPiffles.”

After letting a "raw" and "genuine" former chicken catcher win last season, America's Got Talent will try to outdo itself again this year with classical singers, ventriloquists and everything in between. Sadly, the Hoff will not be around to oversee the proceedings.
Piers Morgan promises that this season's crop of talent is the "best yet" -- but they kind of make that promise every season, so we shouldn't really get our hopes up just yet. He also promises variety, which last year meant Junkyard percussionists Recycled Percussion, sister cloggers Fab Five and Grandma Lee.

America's Got Talent has just wrapped up another seasonn and Kevin Skinner has emerged victorious this season. Skinner recently held a conference call to discuss his whole experience on the show and here's what he had to say.
Now when you are up there against Barbara, did it pop into your head that you were going to win it or was it a mystery right up to the end?
Kevin Skinner: It was. It was. It was a mystery right up to the end. You know, that is a good way to put it. No she, Barbara has got a phenomenal voice, you know, and I know that she is going to have a great career. And, you know, we all just supported one another. And there is so much talent on the stage, you know, even some of the other acts, I mean it was - it would...
