Alkis Tzortzoglou

Born and raised in Athens, Greece, Alkis was born into the world of the arts, as his father, Stratos George o'Glou is an actor, and his mother, Maria Georgiadou is a screenwriter, author, and actress. Watching his parents work from a young age made an impact as he started having an interest in the art of film and television.

Alkis started off his career as an actor, making his first acting debut in 2009's hit TV show "Lola (2008)," while also making his first film appearance that same year in Angelos Spartalis's indie film, "Efhes (2009)." He also went on to play a significant role in the TV show "Vals me 12 Theous (2012)" acting in more than 50 episodes.

At the age of 17, Alkis relocated to New York, earning his BFA in Film at The City College of New York. In 2019, he made his directorial debut with his short film "101 Knocks (2019)," which has awarded him awards in festivals such as the Independent Short Awards.

In 2022, he co-founded "Film Chronicle," a film platform/online festival, aimed towards assisting, and promoting film students that are currently in college.

Currently, he is in post-production on his newest short film "Dear Chloe," and in pre-production on his next short, "The Summerhouse."

Additionally, Alkis works as a freelancer, specifically as a First/Second Camera Assistant and Videographer.
