“The way he is attacking them”: Ryan Murphy’s Scathing New Comments on Menendez Brothers Could Become His Ruin
Image
Ryan Murphy is no stranger to controversy, with a career marked by boundary-pushing narratives, his latest Netflix series, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menéndez Story has thrust the Menéndez brothers’ infamous case back into the limelight. The drama, which revisits the 1989 murder of José and Kitty Menéndez by their two sons, Erik and Lyle, has not been well-received by the family.

In fact, Murphy’s scathing new comments regarding their reaction might prove to be a major misstep. With the brothers’ legal battle being reexamined in the public eye, Murphy’s blunt statements about the Menéndez family’s stance, and his defense of the show, may not only affect his reputation but also fracture the trust of the audience that supports him.

Apparently, she could have had better results, but he wasn’t willing to kill his cat and cut out its eyes.

This isn’t happening back in colonial times, but in present day Atlanta, where covens of witches and vampire clans still exist hidden behind the appearance of...

Image
The 2019 Xena: Warrior Princess comic book continuation confirms Xena and Gabrielle's romance, satisfying long-time fans of the franchise. The comic casually integrates Gabrielle-Xena romance theory into canon, marking a milestone for the series, and making it clear that their romance has been a vital part of their dynamic for some time, even if the TV series wasn't able to make it over. The Xena comic series highlights the sustainable, nurturing romance between Xena and Gabrielle; more than just finally validating years of speculation, it makes them into a positive depiction of queer romance.

A long overdue kiss finally confirmed the queer love story at the heart of Xena: Warrior Princess. Over six seasons, many of the hit show's viewers came to consider the the dynamic between Xena and Gabrielle to be romantic. This was never made official onscreen – but a comic book continuation of the series made the subtext of their romance overt,...
