For anyone not following the double murder trial of Aaron Hernandez, his acquittal on Friday was a shocking turn of events. After all, the former NFL star is still serving a life sentence for the 2011 murder of Odin Lloyd. It seemed likely that he would also be convicted of the 2012 killing of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado.

But his attorney, Jose Baez, was not shocked by Friday’s not guilty verdict.

“I wasn’t surprised, but I was relieved,” he tells People. “I knew we had raised doubt throughout that case. I had never been involved in a case with so much reasonable doubt.

Former NFL star Aaron Hernandez, who was found guilty of murdering Odin Lloyd last year, is facing another trial on Feb. 13 — this time over accusations he murdered Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado in a drive-by shooting outside of a Boston nightclub in 2012.

In a Massachusetts court on Tuesday, the prosecution and defense sparred over several tattoos that Hernandez, 27, got in 2013. Two of the them are pictures of handguns. Another tattoo says “God forgives” — written backwards so that it can be viewed in a mirror.

Saxton has produced a few key movies in Hollywood, including Lone Survivor, The Zero Hour, and The Kids Are Alright. Exactly ten years ago, Bruce Willis toplined Florent Emilio Siri’s low-key action thrill ride Hostage, playing a high-skilled Lapd agent who helped parlay a tense situation that witnessed a group of deadly terrorists infiltrate a family home. A decade on and Willis is now on the other end of the negotiations, with today’s first trailer for Extraction revealing the actor as a CIA agent who’s been kidnapped after the agency leaves him high and dry.

And so, it’s a clandestine act that sees his son, played by Kellan Lutz, spring into action in order to save him from the terrorist group. Directed by Steven C. Miller, the official logline for the by the numbers thriller is as follows: “A former CIA operative is kidnapped by a group of terrorist. When his son learns there is no plan for his father to be saved, he launches his own rescue operation.

Oh, Bruce Willis. Every so often, it looks like he might be about to give something resembling a shit, as with his “Pulp Fiction” comeback, or the excellent 2012 double-bill of “Moonrise Kingdom” and “Looper,” two of his best ever performances. But then he reverts back to the same ol’ paycheck-chasing, barely-hitting theaters rote actioners that he’s become almost synonymous in recent years.
