Will Smith’s Valentine’s Day Gift Is a New Song, ‘First Love’
Image
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Will Smith has released a new song, “First Love,” featuring Spanish singer India Martínez and Polish guitarist Marcin.

The globe-trotting track opens with some stunning flamenco finger-picking from Marcin and Martínez’s booming vocals. Once the beat settles in, Smith takes over, delivering verses that yearn for that explosion of love and affection (even if sometimes there’s a little pain involved). “Every heart will be broken,” he raps, “But what do we do with the pieces/We’ve got a natural affinity/Natural energy,...

'We All Play Characters': Sweet Magnolias Star Revisits Stranger Things Role
Image
Sweet Magnolias Season 4 gives Netflix viewers another chance to be charmed by Logan Allen as Kyle Townsend. Over four seasons, fans of the romantic drama series have watched Kyle -- the younger son of Bill and Maddie Townsend -- not only grow up, but grow into a character that everyone can identify with. That's in stark contrast to the other Netflix role folks know Logan from: playing Jake the bully in Stranger Things.

In an interview with Cbr, Allen spoke about what it's like to be part of not one, but two of Netflix's most popular shows. He spoke about his journey playing Kyle and how the character's experience has paralled his own as the show moves into Season 4. Plus, he discusses how the reception from Sweet Magnolias fans compares to the feedback he got during the fourth season of Stranger Things.

Cbr: It's unique and interesting that people have...

Sweet Magnolias Recasts Key Role Ahead of Season 3
Brooke Elliott, JoAnna Garcia Swisher, and Heather Headley in Sweet Magnolias (2020)
Sweet Magnolias is making a big change ahead of its return on Netflix.

Deadline broke the news this week that the role of Katie Townsend would be recast.

The publication revealed that Ella Grace Helton will take on the role for Sweet Magnolias Season 3 -- and beyond.

Helton takes over for departing star Bianca Berry Tarantino.

Scheduling conflicts triggered producers to make the move, with the departing star set to star opposite Natalie Portman on the Apple TV+ drama Lady in the Lake.

As previously reported, Netflix will welcome viewers back to Serenity on Thursday, July 20, with all ten episodes available on that date.

The streaming service has been switching things up recently, with several of its most popular series having their seasons divided into two parts.

You're probably breathing out a huge sigh of relief right about now.

Sweet Magnolias Season Premiere Review: The Aftermath of the Accident
Brooke Elliott, JoAnna Garcia Swisher, and Heather Headley in Sweet Magnolias (2020)
After a year and a half, we finally knew who was in the car.

At the beginning of  Sweet Magnolias Season 2 Episode 1, we quickly learned Kyle Townsend and Nellie Lewis were in the car accident.

However, the drama in Serenity had just begun.

Finding out which teenagers were in the car sparked drama and tension among so many relationships in Serenity.

As the parents tried to place blame for how Kyle stole the car, Jackson and Tyler got into their own blame game, which left Ty injured as well.

If it was possible, Tyler seemed even more crushed than Kyle. He couldn't play baseball for at least six weeks, and the State Championships were coming up. He had scouts coming to watch him and felt his dream slipping away.

However, Kyle knew he caused this mess, but he was reluctant to discuss why. In many ways, Kyle is the typical middle child.

Maddie will grow closer to Cal on Sweet Magnolias Season 2, which is always a good thing.

Dana Sue is also questioning whether Jeremy or Ronnie is the best man for her.

Yes, the romance will be on full display.

It reads as follows:

As Season 2 opens, Maddie, Helen, and Dana Sue learn who is in the car.

But that's just the first of many surprises that come out of Prom Night -- surprises that reshape relationships all over town.

Friendships flounder.

Sweet Magnolias Season 2: Prepare for a Lengthy Hiatus!
Brooke Elliott, JoAnna Garcia Swisher, and Heather Headley in Sweet Magnolias (2020)
It looks like there will be a long wait before fans of Sweet Magnolias are greeted with fresh episodes.

The series emerged as an instant hit with fans upon its launch earlier this, and a second season was ordered quickly.

This time last year, production was almost complete on its freshman season.

But this is no typical year, and we've had TV shows shut down production often due to the pandemic.

Unfortunately for fans of Sweet Magnolias, no scenes for Season 2 have actually been filmed, meaning that there will likely be a long wait for new episodes.

"We haven’t started shooting Season 2 yet. We want to get back to it as quickly as we can, but we are still working on the details," showrunner Sheryl J. Anderson told Parade.

"I don’t want to jinx it. We know it’s hard to wait, but we appreciate everyone’s patience,...
