Biography

    • David Jaroslav Sasik is an international actor hailing from Czechoslovakia. His first acting job was in 2009 in Black Veil Brides' premiere music video, "Knives and Pens." This music video has earned over 130 million views on YouTube alone and David has gone on to be known as the "Knives and Pens kid" among the Black Veil Brides fan-base. David later made a cameo in Black Veil Brides' music video, "Perfect Weapon," and returned as "the kid" in their music video for "Goodbye, Agony" alongside Alicia Vigil.

Throughout his teenage years, David attended a few different acting studios in Los Angeles. His first acting studio experience was with Constance Tillotson where he studied scene-work as well as writing. The most formative time spent in an acting studio came when David studied improv, scene-work, and TV/Film acting with Patrick Day at Young Actors Space in Van Nuys. While taking acting classes as a teenager, David also performed in a number of short films including Love in the Time of Flannel (2011), Lemongate (2012), The Shelter (2012), and The Age of Innocence (2009) as well as a television pilot for the childrens' television series, Danger Jane (2011).

In 2014, shortly before David started college, he filmed two more short films, Necklace Girl (2014) and His Name Was No One.

David attended the University of California, Irvine, where he double majored in Musical Theatre and Mathematics. In 2018, he graduated with honors with his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre and Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.

Since graduating from college, David has performed in professional, award winning musical theatre productions in San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles. He continues to pursue film and television work and has appeared in three films in 2019 alone: Church Camp (2019), He's Real, and La Bella Necropoli (2019).

In 2020, during the coronavirus pandemic, David founded his own production company, First Generation, and wrote, directed, and produced the horror short, Game Night (2020).

David is a series regular on Miscellanea (2023).

David is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors' Equity Association.
