As the title of the series implies, the new “reality dating experiment” will bring together singles who are virgins in search of love. They will navigate “love, lust and losing it,” per the announcement.

The series is hosted by Bachelor Nation stars Colton Underwood and Kaitlyn Bristowe; Underwood was memorably the first-ever virgin Bachelor star in 2019. The former professional football player came out as gay in 2021, and has chronicled his personal life both in the 2021 Netflix docuseries Coming Out Colton and his New York Times bestseller, The First Time. Eilenberg, who was head of content at Roku Media for the last two years, is returning to the Love Island USA producer as Creative Director.

It marks a significant reunion for Eilenberg, who spent six years at the American arm of the British broadcaster and studio, before moving to the buyer side in 2022, and a statement hire for the company.

It is a newly created role for Eilenberg, who will oversee the creative direction of ITV America, leading all creative development across the company’s unscripted series – including formats, documentary, competition and more – and its brand and digital content initiatives.

Exclusive: Simon Thomas, executive producer of Love Island USA, is leaving ITV America to join Pantheon Media Group.

Thomas, who had been with the company for nearly ten years, and was most recently President of the ITV Entertainment label and Head of International Programming, will become Head of Creative at Pantheon.

It’s a loss for ITV, given that Thomas has shepherded its hit dating format, which broke through with its sixth season on Peacock.

He will report to Jennifer O’Connell, who at the end of last year, was named CEO of Endeavor-backed Pantheon, alongside Steve Michaels as Chairman, in addition to running Velvet Hammer Media alongside Rebecca Quinn.

Thomas will work across Pantheon’s labels, which include Film 45, Done+Dusted, and Texas Crew Productions, and will be focused on global formats.

O’Connell told Deadline that “this sends a message that Pantheon is in the formats game”.

Love Island USA is getting a spinoff. Peacock announced Thursday that it will premiere a spinoff, tentatively titled Love Island: Beyond the Villa, this summer, featuring stars from Season Six as they navigate life in Los Angeles.

JaNa Craig, Leah Kateb, and Serena Page — the crew known as Ppg — will star in the series, as well as their boyfriends, Miguel Harichi and Kenny Rodriguez. Olivia Walker, Kaylor Martin and Kendall Washington will also appear in the show as will Martin’s ex Aaron Evans and Connor Newsum.

ITV Entertainment executive producer Simon Thomas revealed in a recent interview the real reason the Islanders have not visited the Hideaway this season.

Hyland joined the dating competition for Season 4 when the show moved to Peacock from CBS. Arielle Vandenberg hosted the show since the format was adapted to the U.S. back in 2019 and remained at the helm for the first three seasons.

Sarah Hyland revealed that she will not be returning to host season six of Love Island USA on Peacock.

The actress, who has hosted the dating competition series for two seasons, revealed the news on her Instagram Story on Wednesday.

“Well, just got a text,” she wrote, referencing how the Islanders communicate on the show. “I’m disappointed the news had to break this way but it is in fact true that I will not be returning to the island this summer.”

Hyland continued, “I have committed to an exciting project that will be announced soon that conflicts directly with the shooting dates for Love Island USA. While I’m sad I can’t return, I hope to see lots of love this summer on Peacock this upcoming season!”

Season 5 of “Love Island USA” is set to premiere on July 18 exclusively on Peacock, the streamer announced Wednesday.

The fifth season of “Love Island USA” will take place in Fiji with an all-new group of singles. Throughout the season, islanders will compete in challenges, face temptations and forge new relationships. Each week, new episodes will be available for streaming six days a week.

“Love Island USA” stands as Peacock’s most-streamed original reality competition series, heightening the anticipation for the show’s fifth season. David George, Adam Sher, Simon Thomas, Ben Thursby-Palmer, Andy Cadman, Iona Mackenzie and Claudine Parrish serve as executive producers, alongside Tom Gould, Richard Cowles, Mike Spencer, Richard Foster and Chet Fenster. Love Island USA is going back to where it all started and sending its Islanders to find love in Fiji. Peacock launched a trailer for Season 5 of the reality competition today and set the premiere date for July 18.

The latest season of the dating show will feature a new group of sexy singles on a search for love in a beautiful villa. Throughout their stay in a tropical oasis, Islanders will couple up to face new challenges and bigger twists and turns than ever.

Temptations will rise and drama will ensue as new “bombshells” arrive throughout the season, forcing Islanders to decide if they want to remain with their current partners or recouple with someone new. Islanders also will be at the mercy of viewers at home, who will vote to determine who gets another shot at love and who leaves the villa heartbroken and empty-handed.

Peacock is returning to Love Island after ordering the first spinoff series for the international reality TV phenomenon.

Love Island Games from ITV Entertainment is set to premiere this fall and will bring together popular islanders from the U.S. version and other international iterations of the reality TV phenomenon for a second shot at love. A premiere date has not yet been set.

Peacock will be banking on a tried and true format that has made Love Island a ratings success beyond the U.S. market, in the U.K, Australia, Germany, Denmark and, in all, 26 global markets. That format sees a group of single people descend on a resort and try to couple up and remain in the game, with viewers having a say on which contestants stick around.

Billed as a “social dating experiment,” “Twin Love” explores the love lives of identical twins. Ten sets of twins will be split up and placed into two houses of “identical” casts, where they’ll begin a unique and compelling search for love. Per the series logline, “With double the fun and drama, the series will discover if their inherent similarities extend to their romantic desires. When separated from their twin brothers and sisters — some for the first time ever — will they pursue the same identical partners? Or will their choices be dramatically different?”

TBS has ended the show, which has been described as a cross between The Masked Singer and Hell’s Kitchen, after one season. It premiered in March 2022.

There’s a new bombshell entering the villa.

Sarah Hyland, one of the stars of ABC’s long-running sitcom Modern Family, has signed on to host Peacock’s new take on Love Island USA.

Hyland replaces Arielle Vandenberg, who hosted the first three seasons on CBS.

It comes after Peacock handed the show, which is based on the breakout ITV2 format, a two season, 80-episode order.

She will be joined by British comedian Iain Stirling as narrator. Stirling voices the British series with a cutting charm.

It is the latest non-scripted hosting gig for Hyland, who fronts Play-Doh Squished for Amazon’s Freevee. Hyland is also set to star in Peacock’s Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin.

Simon Thomas, veteran ITV America unscripted and international producer, has been named president of ITV Entertainment and will also serve as ITV America’s head of international programming.

Thomas, previously executive VP of current programming, west coast, for ITV America, has executive produced all U.S. seasons of “Love Island,” as well as new series “My Mom, Your Dad” and the upcoming “Rat in the Kitchen.” Earlier, he worked on “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!” for U.K. broadcaster ITV, the original U.K. version of “Love Island,” as well as “Big Brother” and “Beauty and the Geek” for Australia’s Network 10 and Channel 7, respectively.

In his new role, reporting into ITV America chief creative officer David Eilenberg, Thomas will run ITV Entertainment’s development and production slate of original series and international formats and will also oversee production of any ITV America series sold to U.

ITV America has had success adapting British formats in the U.S. including CBS’ Love Island, ABC’s The Chase and Fox’s Hell’s Kitchen.

It is now looking to add more global formats to this list with the promotion of Love Island exec producer Simon Thomas.

Thomas has been named President of ITV Entertainment – one of the company’s six production banners – as well as Head of International Programming at ITV America.

Thomas was previously EVP, Current Programming, West Coast at ITV America and is an exec producer on TBS’ Rat In The Kitchen, which is based on an idea from ITV-owned producer Possessed, and HBO Max’s My Mom, Your Dad. In a year where the Kristen Stewart-led Spencer earned its share of awards buzz comes word that another project about the late Princess Diana is the leading candidate for the anti-Oscars. Diana, the Musical, the filmed version of the ill-fated Broadway show, took a final bow with nine nominations for the 42nd annual Razzie Awards revealed today.

The show “scored” nine noms for the 2022 Golden Raspberries spanning nearly all of the categories, including Worst Picture, Actress, Actor, Director and Screenplay. The Woman in the Window and Karen are a distant second with five apiece, followed by Space Jam: A New Legacy with four and Infinite and The Misfits with three each.
