Jaswant Dev Shrestha is a South Asian Actor and Emmy-winning documentarian. Fifteen years ago, after overcoming multiple visa rejections, Jaswant was granted a US visa for individuals with extraordinary ability in the arts, turning his childhood dream into reality.

Fluent in English, Hindi, Urdu, Nepali, and Bangla, Jaswant's linguistic prowess has enabled him to lend his voice to major Hollywood projects. His voice work includes roles in the Oscar-nominated animated film Missing Link, Disney's Planes, Marvel's Ms. Marvel and Doctor Strange, and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, to name a few.

His on-screen appearances include Peacock's Poker Face, Tie the Knot, and The Treason, among many award-winning short films. Jaswant has also worked in commercials for major brands like Lockheed Martin and Facebook and, most recently, a national campaign for Dell Computers directed by Noam Murro.

Jaswant's acting skills were first recognized with the Best Actor Award at the Blissfest Film Festival in Denver, Colorado, for his lead role in the short film The Treason.

Beyond acting, Jaswant has excelled as a documentarian. His series of festivals, exploring cultural festivals in Nepal, was acquired by the Discovery Channel and earned him his first Emmy award. He created history by becoming the first Nepali native to win an Emmy.

His latest documentary series, ON A QUEST with Jaswant: Exploring Portugal, was a contender for the 76th Primetime Emmy alongside icons like Morgan Freeman, Oprah Winfrey, Conan O'Brien, and Eugene Levy. Most recently, Jaswant narrated the feature documentary Everest Dark, which premiered at CPH: DOX in Copenhagen and has garnered great reviews.

His journey from a hopeful artist facing visa rejections to a working actor and documentarian in Hollywood is a testament to his resilience and dedication to his craft.
