The Unfamiliar to Haunt Cannes and Audiences Worldwide: A Preview
Tagline: "Some Fears Haunt You from Within." The Unfamiliar is a supernatural thriller. From director Henk Pretorius (Leading Lady), the film follows a British Army doctor, with Ptsd. When Elizabeth settles into her home, both spirits and troubling memories begin to haunt her. The film was co-written by Jennifer Nicole Stang. And, The Unfamiliar stars: Jemima West ("The Borgias"), Christopher Dane and Rebecca Hanssen. A newish poster was released for the film, along with some release details. The film was produced by Dark Matter, in the United Kingdom. As well, a few territories have announced distribution plans. Vertical Entertainment will show the film in North America. Myriad’s Scoundrel Media to launch Cannes virtual market sales on 'The Unfamiliar' (exclusive)

Vertical Entertainment handles North American distribution.

Los Angeles-based Myriad Pictures’ genre label Scoundrel Media has acquired international rights excluding the UK and South Africa to horror thriller The Unfamiliar and will kick off sales at the Cannes virtual market next month.

Vertical Entertainment will handle the North American release on the story starring Jemima West from The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones as a British Army doctor who returns from battle with what she thinks is Ptsd only to discover that she is being attacked by malevolent spirits.

Henk Pretorius directed from a screenplay by Jennifer Nicole Stang, and the cast includes Christopher Dane.
