Corenswet will read Rachel Bright‘s “What Does Daddy Do?” a tale about young Daisy trying to figure out her father’s mysterious job. While her friends’ dads have clear professions – fireman, doctor – Daisy only knows her daddy climbs “mountains of paperwork,” has to “fly,” and reports to a dragon boss. Could he possibly be an “explorersuperknight?”

The bedtime story marks another star-studded addition to CBeebies’ roster, which has featured everyone from Olivia Colman and Tom Hardy to Harry Styles and the Spice Girls. The beloved children’s program, airing weekdays on CBeebies and BBC iPlayer, has been a family favorite since the channel’s 2002 launch.

The BBC has unveiled the full cast for its six-part drama Dear England, adapted from James Graham’s hit National Theatre play about Gareth Southgate and his campaign to turnaround the fortunes of the England men’s football team.

Jodie Whittaker joins the cast as Pippa Grange, the England men’s team psychologist, while Jason Watkins is former Fa chairman Greg Dyke and John Hodgkinson reprises his stage role as former Fa chairman Greg Clarke.

Daniel Ryan is Steve Holland, former assistant manager for the England men’s team. Sam Spruell will also star as fictional coach, Mike Webster.

The production has also unveiled the cast for the soccer players.

Adam Hugill (Sherwood), Josh Barrow (Hostage) and screen newcomer Lewis Shepherd reprise their respective stage roles as Harry Maguire, Jordan Pickford and Dele Alli.

London, July 27 (Ians) Liverpool sold club captain Jordan Henderson to Saudi Pro League side Al Ettifaq for a fee of around 12 million pounds (15.5 million U.S. dollars) on Thursday.

The move puts an end to the 33-year-old’s 12 years at Liverpool, during which he made 492 appearances and won eight trophies, including the Premier League, Champions League, Fa Cup and World Club Cup, a Xinhua report said.

With the move, the midfielder will link up with former Liverpool legend, Steven Gerrard, who is the coach at Al Ettifaq, after previously coaching Glasgow Rangers and Aston Villa.

Henderson is believed to have spoken with Liverpool coach, Jurgen Klopp about how much game time he could expect at Anfield this season before making his move.

With Liverpool looking to revitalize their midfield after last season’s disappointing campaign, he would have played a less important role than last year.

New Delhi, July 27 (Ians) Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has posted a goodbye video on social media, confirming his exit from the Premier League club after a 12-year stay.

The midfielder joined the Reds from Sunderland in a deal worth 20m pounds in June 2011 and made 492 appearances for the club, scoring 33 goals and registering 57 assists.

The 33-year-old has reportedly agreed a deal with Saudi Arabian side Al-Ettifaq, who are managed by ex-Liverpool captain and his former teammate Steven Gerrard.

Writing on Instagram, Henderson said: “It’s hard to put these last 12 years into words and it’s even harder to say goodbye. I will always be a Red. Until the day I die. Thank you for everything. You’ll never walk alone.”

Henderson made 360 top-flight appearances for Liverpool and captained them for nearly nine years, from September 2014. He led them to the 2019/20 title as the Reds lifted their first Premier League Trophy.

London, Nov 10 (Ians) Coach Gareth Southgate on Thursday announced a 26-man England squad for the 2022 football World Cup, including Leicester midfielder James Maddison along with Newcastle striker Callum Wilson.

Both the players have not played for England since 2019, but recent club form has seen them earn a call-up for the FIFA World Cup which begins on November 20 in Qatar.

On including Maddison in the team, Southgate said, “He is playing really well. We think he can give us something slightly different to the attacking players that we’ve got. According to a report, the Fa has spoken to Gabriel after the governing body opened a probe into his confrontation with Jordan Henderson on Sunday. He has also spoken to disciplinary chiefs as part of the Fa’s inquiries into his heated altercation.

It is believed that Henderson has had the chance to put his side of the story across to the disciplinary chief and Fa.

London, Aug 12 (Ians) Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is adamant he can solve his midfield issues from within his squad and will not be resorting to the transfer market.

A hamstring injury to key man Thiago Alcantara in last week’s opening match at Fulham could sideline the Spain international for up to six weeks, adding him to a list which also includes Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Curtis Jones.

But Klopp insists they have explored all their viable transfer opportunities and he will not sign a player just for the sake of bumping up their numbers.

Liverpool’s imperious march to the Premier League title in 2020 was interrupted – and almost derailed – by the coronavirus pandemic; the club had to endure a nervy few weeks before the decision was made to finish the season, rather than cancel it. This unexpected wobble is the main point of interest in this otherwise skin-deep, self-congratulatory description of Liverpool’s triumphant season; a super-authorised version where no one is off their guard for a second, and everything is presented in admiringly hagiographic terms.

Admittedly, it would be hard to do it any other way, the trade-off being copious access to Liverpool’s estimable and likable manager Jürgen Klopp, and briefer chats with club captain Jordan Henderson, laser-eyed centre back Virgil van Dijk and smiley Brazilian striker Roberto Firmino among others.

England won a penalty shoot out at the World Cup for the first time ever and the nation was watching. Some 81% of television viewers tuned in to see the final moments of the penalty shootout, which saw Eric Dier score the winning penalty against the Colombians.

The game peaked with 24.4m linear viewers as goalkeeper Jordan Pickford made a brave save after it looked like England would fall to the inevitable with Jordan Henderson missing his spot kick. It was the highest rated moment on British TV in four years.

Airing on ITV, the game, which ran from 6:15pm to 10:30pm, once Colombia equalised in the last minute of normal time, moving the game into extra time, averaged 16.5m viewers across its full slot.

The game was well up on England’s dead-rubber loss against Belgium in the group stages, which drew a peak of 18.6m and a 72% share.
