A young woman's pregnancy takes an unexpected turn when she discovers she's carrying a bloodthirsty demonic entity in the new horror film The Fetus. Daily Dead caught up with writer/director Joe Lam to discuss collaborating with his skilled cast to develop their characters, the two most memorable moments that stand out from the making of the movie, and working with a talented effects crew behind the scenes of The Fetus.

Lavera leads the cast of the horror movie as Alessa, a woman who is shocked to learn she's pregnant and, with her boyfriend, begins investigating the source of her pregnancy, which turns out to be of a demonic origin. I may not have been a fan of Terrifier 2 (my review is Here), but I was impressed by the work Lauren Lavera did in the lead role, and by the time the end credits started to roll I was convinced that she is a star on the rise. So I’m glad to see that she has already completed work on another genre movie – one that co-stars the great Bill Moseley! The movie is called The Fetus, and our friends at Bloody Disgusting have gotten their hands on a batch of first look images that can also be seen at the bottom of this article.
