Joseph Quinn Hints at ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Moments with Chris Hemsworth — Almost Reveals Massive Spoilers
Image
The next big Marvel movie, Avengers: Doomsday, is gearing up to be a massive team-up film featuring some of the biggest names in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Produced by Marvel Studios and Agbo, and distributed by Disney, it’s set to be the fifth Avengers movie after Endgame and will mark the 39th film in the MCU.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo with a script by Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely, the movie brings together heroes from the Avengers, Fantastic Four, Wakanda, the New Avengers, and the X-Men to face off against the villain Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr.

This movie went through a lot of changes during its development. Initially, it was tied closely to the Kang the Conqueror storyline, with director Destin Daniel Cretton and actor Jonathan Majors on board.

However, after some behind-the-scenes issues, including Majors being fired, Marvel shifted gears. The Russo brothers returned as directors,...

John Boyega's Torn From the Headlines Thriller Is a Sleeper Hit on Netflix
Image
Star John Boyega has had a tremendous post-Star Wars run. After playing Finn in the sequel trilogy, Boyega headlined a string of well-reviewed genre films, returning to his roots. He broke out with a charming lead role in the British science-fiction film Attack the Block, before being cast in one of the lead roles in Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens. Among his recent films is the drama-thriller Breaking, which was released theatrically in 2022, following a premiere at the Sundance Film Festival. The fact-based movie was compared to the Al Pacino classic Dog Day Afternoon, and earned excellent reviews. Although it didn't make much of a dent at the box office, Breaking is climbing up the streaming charts following its debut on Netflix.

According to FlixPatrol, Breaking was the ninth-most-watched film on Netflix worldwide on August 5. It outperformed An Honest Life, and finished just behind Gladiator II. The...

How Sony's Spider-Punk Movie Could Best Marvel Studios At Their Own Game
Image
In the dimension-hopping "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse," the mild-mannered Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) once again finds himself skipping between parallel universes. His inter-dimensional would-be girlfriend Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld), a.k.a. Spider-Woman, has alerted Miles to the existence of the Spider-Society, a massive cadre of hundreds of Spider-People, all gathered together from their respective parallel universes. Like in "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse," Miles meets unusual variants of himself, including the cold-hearted Spider-Man 2099 (Oscar Isaac), the broody Scarlet Spider (Andy Samberg), the excitable Spider-Man India (Karan Soni), and Jessica Drew, another Spider-Woman (Issa Rae).

Miles also meets the ultra-cool Spider-Punk, a black-vest-and-mohawk-sporting Spider-Man who is animated to look like a moving crumpled-up punk band flier. Spider-Punk is played by Daniel Kaluuya, and he beats people up with his electric guitar. Miles thinks that Spider-Punk is one of the coolest people he's ever met ... and he's not wrong. The character is pretty badass.

The Chilling Tale of ‘King of the Hill’ Actor Who Was Shot Dead
Image
The murder of Jonathan Joss, who was famously known for his role in the American animated sitcom, King of the Hill, shook each one of us to the core. He was shot dead on 1st June, 2025, in the city of San Antonio, following a scuffle between his neighbour, which had been going on for quite a while. The actor died on the spot due to three gunshots that Joss had taken.

Behind the voice of the famous character lies a person’s story that is layered, one that ended too soon in a chilling turn of events. The actor was not only known for his role as John Redcorn, but also appeared in hit shows like Parks and Recreation and Walker, Texas Ranger, often representing Native American characters with depth and dignity. Though his end was tragic and appalling, Jonathan Joss’s life had always been filled with highs and lows.

WandaVision Ranked Best MCU Series: But These 3 Shows Deserved It More
Image
WandaVision may have ranked the highest, but was it really Marvel’s best small-screen venture? According to Variety’s latest ranking of every Marvel movie and TV show, WandaVision has secured the 4th spot overall. This makes it MCU’s top-ranking series, but many are wondering if it truly qualifies for the honor.

Especially when we have shows like Moon Knight, Daredevil: Born Again, and Loki. They all offer nuanced narratives, and while WandaVision fans loved its sitcom format and layered narrative about grief, Marvel has more complex shows that deserve to be higher on the list. So, here’s more about the three shows that deserved the crown instead!

3. Moon Knight A still from Moon Knight | Credits: Marvel Studios

Oscar Isaac delivered a powerhouse performance, playing Steven Grant and Marc Spector, two alters, because he had dissociative identity disorder, while also moonlighting as an avatar of the Egyptian moon god,...

Rumor: Marvel Studios Is Considering Keeping Robert Downey Jr. As Doctor Doom After Avengers: Secret Wars
Image
Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr. bid farewell to the MCU and Tony Stark in 2019's Avengers: Endgame. However, he'll return to the franchise as the villainous Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.

The casting has divided opinions and raised concerns that Victor Von Doom will be an Iron Man Variant. We'll have to wait and see on that, and rumours are already swirling about which reality the new Multiverse Saga's big bad hails from.

Today, scooper Daniel Richtman brings word that Marvel Studios is currently discussing having Downey continue playing Doom after Avengers: Secret Wars is released at the end of 2027.

We'd imagine the success of The Fantastic Four: First Steps has something to do with that, as it makes perfect sense for Marvel's First Family to share the screen with Doom after his quest to "save" the Multiverse fails. Whether Downey wishes to stick around remains to be seen,...

Every Ant-Man Movie Ranked
Image
There are the famous Avengers — guys like Thor and Captain America. Then there are the less obvious ones. We're talking about the guys on the periphery. Sometimes they're less important. At other times, they're literally too small to see. They're the ones who spend time off the radar (because they're on house arrest). They're often mistaken at restaurants for Spider-Man. In a compound word, they're Ant-Man.

Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) is an unsung hero of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In his own franchise, the reformed convict cheerfully does the right thing. He also plays a critical role in the larger "Avengers" timeline and is passionately Team Captain America. But what are Lang's best and worst moments in the MCU? Let's rank the "Ant-Man" movies from worst to first. We'll include his appearances in other full-length feature films besides his eponymous entries — but not multiverse shows like "What If...?"

MCU Multiverse Saga Movies Ranked According To Rotten Tomatoes (Including The Fantastic Four: First Steps)
Image
Love or hate it, Rotten Tomatoes has become a crucial tool in helping many moviegoers decide whether they want to watch a newly released movie. And, for studios, those "Certified Fresh" badges have become a huge part of pre- and post-release marketing campaigns.

While the Marvel Cinematic Universe has delivered hit after hit since Iron Man was released in 2008, the Multiverse Saga has been a mixed bag. That's apparent from this Saga delivering not one, not two, but three "Rotten" movies.

Is the Multiverse Saga really as bad as some would have you believe? It's been a tad inconsistent, yes, but how does this era of storytelling stack up in terms of those all-important percentage scores on Rotten Tomatoes? Captain America: Brave New World didn't fare too well, but Thunderbolts* was rightly hailed as a return to form for Marvel Studios. The Fantastic Four: First Steps has proven to be another huge win.

Avengers: Doomsday's Script Is Still Being Written - Here's Why That's A Problem
Image
"Avengers: Doomsday" is set to release in theaters on December 18, 2026. The cast of "The Fantastic Four: First Steps," "Thunderbolts*" and several returning faces from the "X-Men" films are uniting with many of the Avengers to face down the newest threat to the Marvel multiverse, Doctor Doom. The Marvel Cinematic Universe's former big two stars Chris Evans (Captain America) and Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man) are returning — only Rdj will not be playing Tony Stark, but Doom himself!

Beyond that, we don't know what the movie's story is or what comics it may pull from ... and it seems the filmmakers may not either!

One of the returning "X-Men" actors in "Doomsday" is Rebecca Romijn, who played Raven Darkholme/Mystique. Currently, Romijn is playing Enterprise Xo Una Chin-Riley on "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" and she attended San Diego Comic Con to promote the show with her castmates. Romijn has previously...

Marvel drops Kang the Conqueror bombshell; fans surprised
Image
Kevin Feige has just shared that the plans for the Marvel Cinematic Universe to pivot from the Multiverse Saga's big bad, Kang the Conqueror, started much earlier than previously believed.

It’s hard to remember, but as 2023 began, the plan for Phase Five of the MCU seemed set in stone. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania would be the grand debut of Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror, the long-standing time-traveling tyrant of Marvel Comics. A version of him had appeared in the Loki season 1 finale but it was Quantumania that was set to give the primary version of the character a chance to shine.

This would begin the road to the big pay-off to Phase Five, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, followed by Avengers: Secret Wars. While not confirmed, it’s hinted that this would involve Kang conquering the Multiverse and various heroes coming together to stop him.

Then things went off the rails.

Reed Richards Is the One Man Both Kang & Doom Fear: MCU Fantastic Four Theory
Image
Spoiler Alert !!!Warning: Possible spoilers for The Fantastic Four: First Steps

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is filled with powerful heroes and villains, and even the strongest and most formidable ones have at least one figure that terrifies them to the bones. Kang the Conqueror was believed to be the franchise’s big, bad villain until he was defeated, and in his absence, now comes Doctor Doom, the new menace.

Both villains allegedly share one fear—and that is fear of Reed Richards. Kang was known to have created the Time Variance Authority, a powerful organization tasked with monitoring the multiverse and possibly controlling time. The existence of Mister Fantastic and his massive intellect, which possessed the full capacity of unraveling the mysteries of the multiverse, made him a huge threat to Kang.

Doctor Doom picks up where Kang left off, and this only means he ventures into the same world where Richards treads.

“The Fantastic Four: First Steps” Review: Marvel’s First Family Finally Gets the Film it Deserves
Image
The MCU is amid a full-blown metamorphosis. After years of expansion and ambitious interconnections, the franchise is entering a new phase of redefinition. With Kang (Jonathan Majors) removed from the throne of villainy for both off-screen and creative reasons, the mantle of “big bad” for the Multiverse Saga has officially passed to Doctor Doom – who will shockingly be portrayed by Robert Downey Jr. The narrative reset confirmed by Kevin Feige in the upcoming Avengers films begins here, with The Fantastic Four: First Steps acting as the launchpad for these characters’ official entry into the MCU timeline. At the same time, it marks a sort of historic restart: after decades of problematic adaptations – and no matter how loudly 2000s nostalgia screams – Marvel’s First Family has never truly received the justice it deserves. Until now…

New Reports Reveal Co-Lead in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’
Image
Chris Hemsworth’s role in Avengers: Doomsday could be bigger than fans expected. According to Matt Belloni from The Town podcast, Hemsworth might actually be the second lead in the movie.

During a recent episode, Belloni talked to Wall Street Journal reporter Ben Fritz, and while discussing the MCU, he mentioned, “He’s got a major role.” He was talking about Hemsworth’s Thor.

Nothing’s confirmed yet, but this lines up with other things we’ve been hearing. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige recently made comments that seem to support the idea.

At a press event for Fantastic Four: First Steps, Feige talked about the future of long-running characters like Thor. He said, “Where we have great actors playing great characters, I think it would be fun to see them in multiple places.”

Feige also brought up how some iconic roles will eventually be recast. He mentioned that Iron Man...

Kevin Feige Confirms Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans to Be Replaced but Hints Their MCU Stories Aren’t Over
Image
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is about to change in a big, bold way. Kevin Feige, the mastermind behind the MCU, just confirmed what fans have been somewhat dreading for years. During a press conference via Variety, the Marvel boss mentioned that new actors will be cast to play Tony Stark and Steve Rogers after Avengers: Secret Wars.

That’s right, Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans’ era as the Og Iron Man and Captain America is coming to an end. But turns out, Kevin Feige isn’t hitting the reboot button, unlike James Gunn’s DC Studios. Because according to the Marvel head, Secret Wars will close the current chapter and start a new one, where new faces, new heroes, and the long-awaited arrival of the X-Men will happen.

Comparing Marvel with DC Studios and the James Bond franchise, where producers are hunting for new faces to fill in the shoes of titular characters,...

Kevin Feige Lied About Jonathan Majors: Ex-mcu Director Makes a Serious Allegation
Image
Kevin Feige recently said they had always intended to swap Kang the Conqueror for another villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but now X-Men ’97 helmer Beau DeMayo is claiming that he is “straight up lying.”

Here’s the full story: When Jonathan Majors first debuted in the MCU as Kang, the buzz surrounding him was immense because of his outstanding performance as the character. But then came his arrest in early 2023 for assaulting his then-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, which was unfortunately followed by Marvel firing the actor. But that’s not all.

Years later, at the recently held sit-down with the press at Marvel’s Burbank HQ, Marvel Studios President Feige claimed that they had realized that Kang couldn’t be the big bad, or the next ‘Thanos’, of the universe, even before all the controversy that went down with Majors’ legal troubles. Per The Hollywood Reporter, he addressed this very decision,...

Jonathan Majors’ Kang Replacement Actor Revealed (And His Next 2026 Marvel Appearance)
Image
X-Men '97 creator Beau DeMayo revealed what Marvel Studios' next Kang the Conqueror project would have been, and who would have replaced Jonathan Majors in it, had Marvel Studios not moved away from Kang altogether.

In a discussion of Variety's wide-ranging interview with Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige, DeMayo disclosed that Jonathan Majors was intended to voice Kang in X-Men '97 Season 2. When news of Majors' pending trial broke, DeMayo cast a Star Trek: The Next Generation legend as a Kang back-up: famed Q actor John de Lancie. DeMayo went on to detail how Kang may have figured into a widely rumored upcoming MCU storyline.

Time-spanning Marvel heavy Kang the Conqueror was initially slated as the McU's next arch-villain, until Jonathan Majors was found guilty of harassment and assault in the third degree. Marvel subsequently announced they'd be moving away from Kang altogether and towards Fantastic Four mainstay, Doctor Doom,...

Kevin Feige at an event for Thor: The Dark World (2013)
Kevin Feige reveals that Marvel was going to switch focus from Kang to Doom even before the Jonathan Majors controversy
Kevin Feige at an event for Thor: The Dark World (2013)
The Hollywood Reporter got some tidbits of new info from Marvel head Kevin Feige as he spoke with reporters for the upcoming release of The Fantastic Four: First Steps. In fact, the Fantastic Four and Disney’s acquisition of Fox were some of the big reasons that they started shifting focus towards Doctor Doom and away from Kang. He doesn’t even bring up Jonathan Majors by name — instead referring to him as “the actor.” Feige explained,

We had started even before what had happened to the actor happened, we had started to realize that Kang wasn’t big enough, wasn’t Thanos, and that there was only one character that could be that, because he was that in the comics for decades and decades. Because of the Fox acquisition, we finally had it, and it was Dr. Doom. So we had started talking about Dr. Doom even before we officially pivoted from Kang.

Kevin Feige Says MCU Planned to Abandon Kang & Lead With Doctor Doom Long Before Jonathan Majors' Arrest
Image
Kevin Feige has shed new light on one of the most game-changing creative shifts in the MCU, namely Marvel's decision to pivot from Kang the Conqueror to Doctor Doom, with the big boss suggesting that Marvel Studios might have started to course correct before the release of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Jonathan Majors' legal troubles. After Majors' cameo in the Loki Season 1 finale, it became clear that his Kang the Conqueror would be the lead villain of what Marvel Studios was calling the Multiverse Saga, taking over from Thanos and concluding with Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars. Yet, following the underperforming critical reaction and box office to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and the arrest and later conviction of Majors, Marvel Studios announced that Robert Downey Jr. would return to the MCU, now playing Doctor Doom as the lead of Avengers: Doomsday.

For the first time since firing Jonathan Majors,...

Kevin Feige Reveals Dr. Doom Was Planned to Replace Kang Long Before Jonathan Majors’ Controversy
Image
Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige has opened up about the shift from Kang the Conqueror to Doctor Doom as the big villain in the next Avengers movies.

While fans thought the change happened only after Jonathan Majors’ legal troubles made headlines, Feige says the plan to bring in Dr. Doom was already in motion before any of that.

Originally, Kang was supposed to be the main bad guy in the Avengers movies, a plan announced back at Comic-Con in 2019. But after Majors was arrested in early 2023 for allegedly assaulting his then-girlfriend, his future with Marvel became uncertain.

Feige explained, “Even before what had happened to the actor, we had started to realize that Kang wasn’t Thanos.” He went on to say that only one villain could fill the role of the ultimate threat like Thanos, and that was Dr. Doom. Thanks to Marvel acquiring the Fox characters, they finally...

Kevin Feige Finally Addresses Jonathan Majors’ MCU Future Following His Court Case
Image
After wiping the floor with Thanos (Josh Brolin) in the box office-dominating 2019 flick, Avengers: Endgame, the titular team of Earth’s mightiest heroes was in need of a new foe. With so many big bads to choose from thanks to decades and decades of material, the studio certainly wasn’t at a loss for villains when they landed on Kang the Conqueror. His first appearance happened as a variant in Disney+’s hit series Loki, while the character’s big-screen debut went down in Peyton Reed’s 2023 film, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

Leading the charge as the man posed to take down the Avengers was Jonathan Majors, who previously gained recognition through performances in titles such as J.D. Dillard’s Devotion and Jeymes Samuel’s The Harder They Fall. At that point, it appeared that Marvel was on track to set up a showdown between Kang and the Avengers,...

Marvel’s big reset: Mahershala Ali’s ‘Blade,’ recasting ‘X-Men’ and Tony Stark, and why Miles Morales is Mia in the MCU
Image
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige offered a rare glimpse into the MCU’s evolving strategy, addressing fan concerns and teasing what lies ahead for Marvel’s iconic franchises. In a lengthy discussion with journalists ahead of Fantastic Four: First Steps, Feige reflected on the studio’s recent struggles with oversaturation, outlined steps being taken to refocus the MCU, and revealed tantalizing updates on several high-profile projects. “It’s traditionally a five-year plan,” he said. “I think it goes to 2032 right now.”

Here are the biggest takeaways:

Mahershala Ali’s Blade still slicing forward

Fans have been eagerly anticipating Mahershala Ali's debut as the iconic vampire slayer in Blade, but Feige admitted the production has faced multiple setbacks. Initially announced in 2019, the project stalled due to script challenges and changes in directors. (Wesley Snipes reprised his version of Blade in last year's Deadpool & Wolverine.) Marvel’s Kevin Feige Talks Scaling Back, Losing Kang and His Texts to James Gunn After ‘Superman’
Image
In a nondescript conference room on the very descript floor of Marvel Studios (full size Iron Man statues, superhero murals and movie props) is a padlocked door. Behind that padlocked door is a white board featuring a plan for Marvel movies spanning the next seven years.

So teased Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige, the producer behind the most successful run of movies in Hollywood’s history, as he welcomed a select group of journalists into the same room where he first met Doctor Strange star Benedict Cumberbatch and where filmmaker Chloe Zhao pitched her take on Eternals.

Marvel’s run has been tested of late, this year especially with Thunderbolts* and Captain America: Brave New World, which grossed among the lowest totals for the company. But Feige isn’t interested in your theories of superhero fatigue, which he doesn’t buy as real. He pointed to DC Studios’ Superman, which...

Kevin Feige Explains ‘Blade’ Delays: ‘We Didn’t Want to Simply Put a Leather Outfit’ on Mahershala Ali and ‘Have Him Start Killing Vampires’
Image
Despite numerous false starts, Mahershala Ali’s debut as a vampire slayer in “Blade” is still in the works, Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige confirmed.

“Mahershala is still attached,” Feige told a roomful of journalists gathered at Marvel Studios on Friday about the project, which would see the two-time Oscar winner assume the role originated onscreen by Wesley Snipes, who played the part in the late ’90s and 2000s, as well as in 2024’s “Deadpool & Wolverine.” “The obstacle was, Ryan Coogler called and said, ‘We’d love some costumes for ‘Sinners,’” he joked, referring to costumes created by Ruth E. Carter for an abandoned “Blade” film that Marvel commissioned, then sold back to Carter for Coogler’s vampire movie. “And we said, ‘Take ‘em man, no problem’ — he’s a good friend — ‘Take our costumes. We’ll hold off on the movie.’”

In all seriousness, Feige explained, the prolonged...

The film’s synopsis says it takes place fourteen months after the events of Thunderbolts* (2025) and shows the Avengers, Wakandans, Fantastic Four, New Avengers, and the original X-Men teaming up to face Doctor Doom. This information comes from reports on the movie’s development.

When BBC asked Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach to share a few words teasing the movie, they didn’t hold back. Quinn described it as “Epic. Mental. Robert Downey Jr.” Bachrach added, “Epic. Tragic. Intergalactic. Starry.” Those words alone have fans buzzing with anticipation.

Avengers: Doomsday is the fifth Avengers film...

Not Natty, Jonathan Majors Accused of Using Steroids After Outpowering Larry Wheels
Image
In a now-viral training video uploaded in March 2025, Creed III star Jonathan Majors stunned audiences by cranking out weighted pull-ups heavier than those done by Larry Wheels, a man with world records under his belt and lifts that border on the mythological: a 930-pound deadlift, 880-pound squat, and 660-pound bench press.

From the jump, the question screams: has Majors taken a shortcut to strength, literally? If he can outpull him, suspicion clamors, especially when Ifbb Pro Greg Doucette was asked if the actor used steroids. Doucette answered (via Instagram):

Not Natty, not even close.

The footage in question, titled Jonathan Majors teaches how to transform for a Hollywood role! shows Majors effortlessly working through burnout sets and old-school ab routines with minimal rest, alongside Wheels.

But what turned heads wasn’t form; it was output. For someone who doesn’t compete professionally, lifting more than Larry Wheels struck many as,...

$ilkmoney ‘Who Waters the Wilting Giving Tree’ Review: The Intoxicating Rebel
Image
Two of $ilkmoney’s best qualities as a rapper are his obvious love of words and his commanding presence on the mic. While psychedelic mushrooms are one of his muses, he’s just as intoxicated by language, as evidenced by his predilection for dense lyricism and long-winded titles. The Virginia Mc rhymes in double time throughout his new album, Who Waters the Wilting Giving Tree Once the Leaves Dry Up and Fruits No Longer Bear?, making sure that his intensity remains at the forefront.

For all $ilkmoney’s technical skill and attention to lyrics, though, the album’s production stands out just as much as his voice. Drawing on boom bap and chipmunk soul, the music stirs in ideas from Roc Marciano and early Kanye but takes them in exciting new directions. Electric pianos and R&b vocals intermingle with fragments of noise, while the drums tend to be soft...

Chris Evans’ Captain Hydra & Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom Hold A Major MCU Hero Hostage In Avengers: Doomsday Art
Image
New Avengers: Doomsday art reunites Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to imprison a fan-favorite hero. Downey is confirmed to lead Avengers: Doomsday's cast as Doctor Doom. He now plays the main villain of the McU's Multiverse Saga after Marvel Studios fired Kang the Conqueror actor Jonathan Majors. Evans is not confirmed for the movie.

However, multiple reports claim the Captain America actor will be back in a secret role alongside MCU Peggy Carter actress Hayley Atwell. Evans maintains that he is not in the film, but that has not stopped actors from appearing in Marvel's slate of projects in the past. Amid rumors of who he could play, a villain has become a popular theory.

On Instagram, @welove__marvel and @70.6ix imagined Chris Evans as Captain Hydra and Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom with Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange as their prisoner in Avengers: Doomsday.

The MCU to finally introduce the Marvel character we've been longing for
Image
Marvel fans all around the world are ready for the Avengers to reunite. It's all that the Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom can talk about, for the Multiverse Saga's conclusion is set to begin in next year's Avengers: Doomsday, which will bring Robert Downey Jr. back but in the brand new role as the infamous Doctor Doom. It's going to be one heck of a film, but it's also going to be a heck of a wait for the installment, which isn't set to grace screens until December 2026 (having been delayed from May). But it will be worth the wait to see the MCU legend portray the infamous Marvel Comics villain.

Doctor Doom is one character who Marvel fans have been waiting to see introduced to the MCU for a long time. The legendary franchise has adapted the likes of Thanos, Red Skull, the Winter Soldier, Gorr the God Butcher and...

Marvel Studios' Phase Five Movies And TV Shows Ranked From Worst To Best
Image
After Ironheart wrapped up on Disney+ last week, Phase Five has officially reached its end. Beginning with Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania in 2023, much has changed over the past two and a half years.

Kang the Conqueror is out, and Doctor Doom is in, for starters. Then, there's Marvel Studios' attempt to move back to quality rather than quantity after former Disney CEO Bob Chapek tasked Kevin Feige and company with producing as much streaming content as possible.

We've ranked half of Phase Five (you can find that here), but this next lot of movies and TV shows proved much harder to find a place for, as they're all deserving of being hailed as among some of Marvel Studios' best projects. Oh, and if you're wondering why X-Men '97 doesn't get a mention, it's because it wasn't officially considered part of this Phase. It would have been worthy of the top spot,...

MCU Phase 5 Is the Lowest-Grossing Phase of the MCU: Here’s How Much Each Film Earned
Image
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been a box office juggernaut for over a decade, but Phase 5 has stirred up some chatter with its financial performance. While still pulling in massive numbers, this phase has averaged $610.7 million per film, making it the least lucrative in MCU history.

We’re diving into the box office earnings of Phase 5’s six films, ranking them from the lowest to the highest-grossing. Let’s break down how each movie stacked up, with some context on their budgets, casts, and what made them tick.

The Marvels (2023) Marvel Studios

This film, released on November 10, 2023, brought in $206.1 million worldwide, with $84.5 million domestic and $121.6 million international. With a hefty $375 million budget, it struggled to break even, marking it as the lowest earner in Phase 5.

Brie Larson returned as Carol Danvers, joined by Teyonah Parris and Iman Vellani, but the film faced tough competition and mixed buzz. Its cosmic adventure...

Michael B. Jordan's 'Thomas Crown Affair' Remake Adds a 'Black Panther' Co-Star
Image
According to a new report, Michael B. Jordan is looking to reunite with a former Black Panther co-star for his latest directorial effort. His return to the director's chair will be for an interesting new project: a remake of The Thomas Crown Affair, which would be the third iteration of the story. Jordan had previously directed Creed III starring himself and Jonathan Majors, making his shift to this next project feel like quite the change from his last work. The film already had some impressive cast members, but now it has just recently added another.

The Hollywood Reporter recently revealed that Danai Gurira will be joining the remake, a welcome addition since she had previously worked with Jordan on Ryan Coogler's 2018 film Black Panther. She played Okoye in the MCU film opposite Jordan's villain character, Killmonger, and alongside Chadwick Boseman's T'Challa. Meanwhile, Gurira is also best known for...

Avengers: Doomsday (2026)
Leaked Set Photo Reveals Captain America and The Thing Team-Up in “Avengers: Doomsday”
Avengers: Doomsday (2026)
Leaked on-set photographs from Marvel’s in-production crossover “Avengers: Doomsday” show Sam Wilson’s Captain America standing beside U.S. Agent, The Thing and a new Black Panther aboard what looks like an alien vessel, offering the first visual proof that the Avengers, New Avengers and the Fantastic Four will share scenes in the 2026 release.

Captured during night shooting at Pinewood’s north backlot, the images were reposted across fan sites within minutes of appearing on an assistant’s private Instagram feed. The sequence is thought to form part of an “incursion” rescue that earlier spoiler threads said would involve Monica Rambeau stranded between universes.

Marvel has not commented on the leak, yet studio president Kevin Feige recently stressed the film’s direct link to next July’s “The Fantastic Four: First Steps,” confirming that Reed Richards and his team act as a bridge into the ensemble story. Feige also...

Marvel Studios' Phase Five Movies And TV Shows Ranked From Worst To Best
Image
With the release of Ironheart's final three episodes last Tuesday, Phase Five has reached its end. Starting with Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania in 2023, much has changed over the past two and a half years.

That movie was meant to introduce us to Kang and his many Variants after Loki set the stage for him to be the Multiverse Saga's big bad. As we write this, Kang is out, and Doctor Doom is in. Oh, and Mephisto just made his debut....on streaming.

It's been an unpredictable few years of storytelling, with the latter half largely devoted to Marvel Studios' attempt to move back to quality rather than quantity. Unfortunately, many of the movies and TV shows in this first half of our Phase Five ranking fall under the "quantity" category.

You can find out how we've ranked a tumultuous Phase Five by clicking the "Next"/"View List" buttons below.

Johnny Depp Says He Was "Fired" From 'Fantastic Beasts' Role: "They Wanted Me to Retire"
Image
Fallen Hollywood icon Johnny Depp discusses being fired from Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. In 2016, Warner Bros. and the Wizarding World franchise seemingly had a big get with the reveal that Johnny Depp had signed on to play the dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald for a cameo in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, with him being set up to be the main villain across the five planned films. However, the casting came five months after Depp's then-wife, Amber Heard, filed a restraining order against Depp, accusing him of domestic abuse. By 2020, Warner Bros. asked Depp to step down after the actor lost his U.K. libel case against The Sun, which had accused him of being a domestic abuser.

Speaking with The Telegraph, Johnny Depp recounts his experience of being let go from the Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. Depp was initially reported to have stepped down from the role,...

5 Celebs Tipped To Play Iconic Mutants In The MCU’s Next Phase ( Photo Credit – Facebook )

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is stretching its wings again—this time, with mutants in sight. As Fantastic Four: First Steps gets ready for its July arrival, Marvel has even bigger things simmering behind the scenes. While Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars are still in production, now set for late 2026 and 2027, respectively, another long-awaited project is taking shape: the long-rumored reboot of the X-Men franchise.

Although several original cast members (like Ian McKellen and Hugh Jackman) are swinging by in multiversal appearances, this next version is expected to build fresh from the ground up. And that means fresh faces.

As word quietly spreads across casting circles, a handful of well-known actors are being whispered about for key roles in the mutant world. From powerful villains to telepathic leaders, here are five performers reportedly on Marvel’s...

Marvel Finally Went There with Its ‘Ironheart’ Finale — and a Killer Cameo
Image
[Editor’s note: The following article contains spoilers for Marvel’s “Ironheart” finale.]

Where were you when you first learned about Mephisto?

I was at my parents’ house during Covid, when Marvel began its erratic foray into television with the powerful “WandaVision.” In Marvel Comics, Mephisto is literally the devil; he crops up with various heroes and villains across the comics under thin aliases (Beelzebub? who could that be?), leaving his mark on the lives of everyone from Spider-Man to Doctor Strange, and more. He’s connected to Scarlet Witch through her sons, who were introduced in Jac Schaeffer’s Emmy-winning series.

And as the world Wanda (Elisabeth Olsen) built around herself started to fracture, fans thought the devil was in the details — but he never broke through. Eager theorists tabled their disappointment (easy to do when Kathryn Hahn is the one guiding you into the unknown) with the hope that Mephisto would pop up in the upcoming slate of films and shows.

Marvel's Bold Ironheart Finale Is Going To Get Lost Thanks To Avengers: Doomsday
Image
This article contains spoilers for Marvel's "Ironheart."

One of my favorite Marvel quotes ever is "Good is not a thing you are. It's a thing you do," said by Kamala Khan early in her run as Jersey City, New Jersey's premier superhero. Much of that sentiment comes down to the choices we make. Every day, when we roll out of bed, we make an active decision to be an active participant in a day spent on this little spinning rock we all inhabit. The studio that birthed the on-screen adaptation of Ms. Marvel has made a lot of exciting choices over the last five years, and the fanbase has accepted some with open arms or let noisey portions of the audience wrestle the controls away from them, but each decision is just that — an active choice to tell a particular story. And with the conclusion of "Ironheart," Marvel Studios might...

Keke Palmer On Why She Pulled Jonathan Majors Podcast Interview: “People Felt It Was Insensitive”
Image
Keke Palmer is addressing what motivated her and her team to pull the podcast interview with Jonathan Majors following public outcry.

While promoting Magazine Dreams, Majors was set to appear in an April episode of Palmer’s podcast Baby, This Is Keke Palmer, but the interview was ultimately pulled.

“When I’m doing my hosting, I’m here to be unbiased. Everybody that sits in your chair, you don’t agree with everything they did, you don’t love everything, but you gotta have the conversation,” Palmer said on The Breakfast Club recently. “You have to set the stage for them to speak and for people to watch and take what they wanna take from it, so that’s why I was open and excited to do the interview.”

The One of Them Days star said that “ultimately, with my partners, it was just decided — they saw the reaction that people felt it was insensitive,...

Evangeline Lilly Hints at Possible Wasp and Wolverine Team-Up in ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’
Image
There’s been a lot of buzz lately about Avengers: Secret Wars, and now fans are wondering if we might see the Wasp team up with Wolverine in the movie. It all started when Evangeline Lilly, who plays Hope van Dyne in the MCU, shared a sweet post about her time at Supanova Comic Con & Gaming.

In the post, she included a photo of herself standing next to someone dressed as Wolverine. The cosplay was solid, but what got fans talking was what happened in the comments.

One fan joked that the photo was her way of confirming she’d have scenes with Wolverine in Secret Wars. Lilly didn’t say yes or no, she just replied with a wink. That little tease was enough to send fans into speculation mode.

Evangeline Lilly Responds to Fan Question About Wasp Teaming Up With Wolverine in ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’
Image
Marvel Studios has two massive Avengers movies on the way, Doomsday and Secret Wars. While the cast for Doomsday is mostly set, Secret Wars remains a mystery, and no one really knows what kind of Multiversal chaos it will bring.

Loud rumors suggest that Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine will appear in the film, which honestly wouldn’t be a shock. Several major stars from Fox’s X-Men franchise are already set to return for Doomsday, including Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, James Marsden, Rebecca Romijn, and Allan Cumming.

Recently, Evangeline Lilly, the MCU’s Hope van Dyne, also known as the Wasp, shared a heartfelt post praising the team behind Supanova Comic Con & Gaming. She included a photo of herself with a Wolverine cosplayer, and to be honest, it’s a pretty solid cosplay. But what caught fans’ attention was that she may have dropped a small hint about a possible team-up with Wolverine.

Marvel may be about to stage the crossover we never thought would happen
Image
Could Marvel finally be giving us the MCU crossover we’ve all waited for? It could finally be happening, it seems!

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has seen its share of ups and downs over the last few years. Just as it looked like the franchise was unstoppable following the game-changing, box-office-dominating Avengers: Endgame, it has hit the skids and is no longer the consistent force that it once was.

Some of the reasons for Marvel's recent inconsistencies are beyond the McU's control, like the pandemic, the 2024 Hollywood strikes, and parting ways with Jonathan Majors (which forced Marvel to drop Kang as the Multiverse Saga's next big villain). Although it appears as if it's back on track, there is still concern about the creative direction for the franchise as they build to Avengers: Doomsday.

In TV, the MCU has been making a lot of moves with their Disney+ shows. That includes...
