Tornadoes, Monkeys and Towering Flames: How the Sphere Plans to Bring ‘The Wizard of Oz’ to Life
Image
When the Sphere in Las Vegas opens its doors for The Wizard of Oz next month, visitors to the venue will find themselves in the middle of a twister. And not just because the 160,000 square foot LED screen will wrap around them.

Executives at the Sphere say that its version of the classic 1939 film, which opens Aug. 28, will incorporate immersive, real-world, physical elements “at a scale that I don’t think anyone else has done before,” according to Glenn Derry, executive vp of Msg Ventures, the executive responsible for the technology and physical effects in the venue.

That means when that tornado hits Kansas, the 10,000 people inside the Sphere will have wind whipping at their face, leaves flying in front of them, bolts of lightning puncturing the fog and swirling haze that the company will create inside the venue itself.

“One of the big sequences in the film is when...

36 Years Later, the Sleeper Sequel to 1 of the Best Sci-Fi Movies Ever Made Finds New Life on Streaming
Image
Back to the Future Part IIis quickly gaining steam on the streaming charts.

Per FlixPatrol, Back to the Future Part II has made its way into the top ten streaming chart for films on Hulu for Jul. 10. This comes after the film gained three places in recent days, overcoming competition like The Day After Tomorrow and Bridesmaids. Currently, Back to the Future Part II holds the ninth place on the chart, sitting just behind Ted, while Riff Raff continues to dominate the number one spot.

Directed by Robert Zemeckis from a screenplay by returning writer Bob Gale, Back to the Future Part II brought back the original film's leading duo of Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd as Marty McFly and Doctor Emmett Brown. The film sees Doc Brown convince Marty and his girlfriend Jennifer Parker, portrayed by Claudia Wells, to journey with him into the future to help steer...

Why Back To The Future's Writer Thinks The Sci-Fi Classic Couldn't Exist Today
Image
The question of whether a classic film could be made today or not is, ultimately, an oxymoronic one. Every movie ever made is a product of its age, in ways that are intentional and entirely incidental, and therefore the easy answer to that question is that no movie could be made in another era not its own and remain exactly the same. Despite that truth, people keep wondering about what an old movie might look like in our modern era, which only further indicates that what we're really talking about is the differences between two different time periods. For some folks, watching a classic film with modern eyes — whether after a long period of not watching it or watching it for their first time ever — has the same effect as if they'd actually accidentally traveled back in time.

The clash of cultures between the modern day and the not-so-rosy past...

40 Years Ago, Back To The Future's Epic Box Office Run Sparked An Everlasting Cinematic Legacy
Image
(Welcome to Tales from the Box Office, our column that examines box office miracles, disasters, and everything in between, as well as what we can learn from them.)

"What we set out to do was to make a human, fun, comedic, dramatic story and the idea of time travel was going to be used just as a device to tell that story." Those are the words of director Robert Zemeckis speaking with The Signal in 1985 ahead of the release of "Back to the Future." Four decades removed, what Zemeckis set out to accomplish with his time travel picture seems quaint in light of what it became.

There are movies people love. There are movies that endure. And then there are movies that would be used as a relic of humanity to prove we existed should life as we know it end. Right up there with the likes of "Gone With the Wind...

Why Courteney Cox's Friends Fame Was A Major Obstacle In Her Horror Movie Casting
Image
"Friends" is widely regarded as one of the best sitcoms of all time, but its success has occasionally been frustrating for its main cast members, especially when they have tried to spread their wings. For Courteney Cox (who played the lovable cleanliness freak Monica Gellar for the show's entire duration), it meant becoming synonymous with her character, at least until she was cast as Gale Weathers in the "Scream" movie series. However, she had to fight for the chance to portray the ambitious reporter, as her "Friends" fame gave some people the wrong idea about her talents. As Cox recalled in a 2021 interview with The Hollywood Reporter:

"[Executive producer] Cary Woods was in my manager's office and she pitched me for the part of Gale. Cary thought it would be a nice surprise to have me play such a calculated character after being on 'Friends' and 'Family Ties,...

40 Years Later, Back to the Future Filmmakers Reflect on Firing Marty McFly's Original Actor for Michael J. Fox
Image
Eric Stoltz could have ended up on a very different life path if he'd been kept in the role of Marty McFly for Back to the Future. But things didn't work out that way - he was fired.

Back to the Future celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, and the cast and crew have been talking to the media about how they made the beloved time-travel movie. Co-writer Bob Gale, director Robert Zemeckis, and female lead Lea Thompson all sat down with The Guardian to discuss behind-the-scenes tidbits - and the "horrible" experience of replacing Stoltz with Michael J. Fox.

There was nothing sinister behind Stoltz's firing - it was just business. Stoltz was a more serious actor, but he proved to be a little too serious for what the movie needed. “He wasn’t giving us the kind of humor that we thought the character should have," Gale remembered.

‘Back to the Future’ Couldn’t Be Made Today Because People Would Get the Wrong Idea About Doc and Marty, Screenwriter Claims
Image
This week marks the 40th anniversary of Back to the Future, meaning that it’s been four whole decades since the world was first introduced to Marty McFly and his mad scientist/insurance fraudster pal Doc Brown. The beloved film and its two sequels have subsequently become a bedrock of modern pop-culture, inspiring a recent stage musical, a Saturday morning cartoon series and a whole lot of real-life hoverboards that do absolutely nothing.

To celebrate the occasion, co-screenwriter Bob Gale and star Lea Thompson spoke with The Guardian about the film’s legacy, and argued the movie just couldn’t be made today for various reasons.

Thompson pointed out that “if you made Back to the Future in 2025 and they went back 30 years, it would be 1995 and nothing would look that different. The phones would be different but it wouldn’t be like the strange difference between the ‘80s and...

‘Back to the Future’ at 40: All the ways the Robert Zemeckis classic was snubbed by the Oscars
Image
Great Scott! Back to the Future has hit the big 4-0, roughly half the speed required to send Doc Brown's DeLorean back and forth in time. But the Robert Zemeckis-directed movie doesn't feel like ancient history, even if it first zipped into theaters in the distant past of the 1980s. Fueled by pedal to the metal pacing, ingeniously-designed set-pieces and the dynamic duo Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd, Back to the Future, released on July 3, 1985, remains an eternally youthful summer blockbuster even while other studio films of that era are rattling around with broken parts.

Genius isn't always recognized in its time, though, which is why the movie's relatively poor showing at the 58th Academy Awards — held on March 24, 1986 — hangs extra-heavy four decades later. Back to the Future received four nominations and took home a single statue as Sydney Pollack's Out of Africa emerged as the evening's big winner.

Jennette McCurdy
Jennifer Aniston to star in a series inspired by Jennette McCurdy’s I’m Glad My Mom Died memoir for Apple TV+
Jennette McCurdy
Everyone uniquely processes grief. No one can tell you how to react, how long to mourn, or when to move on. While some choose to bury the pain, others use their conflicting emotions as a creative outlet, choosing to create instead of caving in. In I’m Glad My Mom Died, author Jennette McCurdy experiences several stages of distress while contemplating the passing of her narcissistic mother. According to Deadline, Apple TV+ will adapt McCurdy’s darkly comedic memoir, I’m Glad My Mom Died, with Jennifer Aniston playing the motherly role.

Deadline notes that Aniston currently stars in and executive produces The Morning Show alongside Reese Witherspoon. The Morning Show is greenlit through Season 4, leaving a question mark for Aniston’s continued participation. Thankfully, Aniston’s role in the adaptation of McCurdy’s memoir should not affect her Morning Show duties, even if a fifth season comes to bear,...

A Wild Rumor Says Sony’s Letting Nintendo Have One of Its Top Exclusives

Nintendo’s upcoming first-party games include titles like Donkey Kong Bonanza and Metroid Prime 4, basically typical titles that you’d expect on the platform. However, a surprising rumor has hinted at a potential Sony title making its way to the console.

A reputed Nintendo YouTuber has heard from his sources about a new Nintendo Direct that’s set to take place next month, which makes sense considering they skipped out on Summer Games Fest this month.

If the rumor of the Sony title being announced at the next Direct, among other Nintendo titles, turns out to be true, then Nintendo fans are in for a mighty fine time, as the title is one of PlayStation’s best works to date.

Death Stranding Director’s Cut is rumored for the Nintendo Switch 2

“It Can Live in Any Form”: Horror Icon, 60, Explains the Scream Franchise's Longevity
Image
For those who have been worried or at least wondering if Scream will come to a screeching halt following the upcoming Scream 7, a recent statement from its creator, Kevin Williamson, leads us to believe it will go on and on — as long as the studio gives it the okay. While an eighth installment hasn’t been confirmed, Williamson shared his belief with the New York Post that the franchise has immense staying power no matter who stays or who goes, revealing,

“The thing about Scream is it can live in any form. And you can return to a character like Sidney and Gale and tell that story, and then the next one can be about someone else. I really like the idea that ‘Scream’ has evolved into a franchise that can expand in those ways.”

Cases in point can be found in the last two films, 2022’s Scream and...

"There Was No Movie Without Them": Jennifer Love Hewitt & Freddie Prinze Jr.'s Returns In I Know What You Did Last Summer 2025 Explained By Director
Image
I Know What You Did Last Summer director and co-writer Jennifer Kaytin Robinson has spoken about the importance of its legacy characters. The 2025 movie is the fourth feature-length installment in the slasher franchise, which follows groups of teens being targeted by a slicker-wearing, hook-wielding killer. The upcoming I Know What You Did Last Summer features a new crop of teens being targeted for a vehicular manslaughter they covered up the year before, aided by returning survivors Julie James (Jennifer Love Hewitt) and Ray Bronson (Freddie Prinze Jr.), who were central to the original 1997 movie and its 1998 sequel.

ScreenRant's own Brandon Zachary was in attendance at an I Know What You Did Last Summer trailer launch event on Saturday, where members of the cast and crew spoke about the movie during a Q&a afterward. During the conversation, Robinson shared that she "worked really closely" with both returning stars while developing the story,...

Giancarlo Esposito Reveals The Breaking Bad Scene That Impacted Him The Most — & It’s Not What You Think
Image
Giancarlo Esposito On The Most Unforgettable Breaking Bad Scene(Photo Credit –Instagram/Facebook)

Breaking Bad introduced one of television’s most frightening characters with the introduction of Gus Fring, played by Giancarlo Esposito. While much of the attention was on the transformation of Walter White into Heisenberg, Gus was the man with the cold disdain for his enemies and unwavering control over a drug empire. For that, he did not need to yell or threaten and did not need to be the visionary. Besides, he did not even have to speak most of the time as well.

Giancarlo Esposito’s Most Iconic Scene in Breaking Bad

Gus Fring came on in season two and when he did, he offered a certain level of calm professionalism that the previous dealers did not, such as Tuco, for example.

Walt was desperate for someone more stable to distribute his meth, and Gus seemed like the perfect partner.

‘Harold & Kumar’ Is in Safe Hands With ‘Cobra Kai’ Creators After $964M Franchise Backed Out
Image
No one would’ve thought that rebooting The Karate Kid franchise would have worked, but with Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Josh Heald’s exceptional talent, Cobra Kai turned out to be amazing beyond our expectations. And now that they’ve reinvented one of the most beloved martial arts sagas, their career is circling back to the stoner comedy that started their careers.

The creators are still basking in the glory of their Netflix triumph, and their next big project involves returning to the cult-classic chaos of Harold & Kumar. However, not every franchise is up for reinvention, such as the Back to the Future trilogy, which most wanted to be rebooted, but the creator doesn’t seem to be on board with the idea.

Scream Creator Confirms Long-Held Theory About Who Almost Directed Scream 2 Before Wes Craven
Image
Although Scream 2 was directed by the original movie’s legendary director, Wes Craven, screenwriter Kevin Williamson confirmed that Robert Rodriguez almost made the first Scream sequel instead. The Scream franchise’s movies and TV shows have been directed and written by a diverse array of creators, with X director Ti West directing an episode of the Scream TV series while future Top Gun: Maverick scribe Ehren Kruger penned Scream 3’s screenplay.

However, no name is as closely associated with the Scream franchise as Wes Craven. Despite this, when ScreenRant’s Ash Crossan asked whether Scream screenwriter Kevin Williamson almost directed 1998’s The Faculty, Williamson revealed that, in reality, it was The Faculty’s director Robert Rodriguez who almost directed Scream’s first sequel. Per Williamson:

“No, no. That was Robert Rodriguez. Robert Rodriguez almost directed Scream 2. I don’t know if anyone knows that. I think Wes...

Back To The Future's Creator Directed An Underrated Comedy Featuring Kurt Russell
Image
Bob Gale is primarily known as the co-writer of the "Back to the Future" movies, which isn't a bad legacy to have given that they are some of the best sci-fi films of all time. He also helped write "Used Cars," the cult '80s comedy that sees Kurt Russell playing a cunning car salesman in Arizona. In 2002, however, Gale re-teamed with Russell when he stepped behind the camera to direct "Interstate 60: Episodes of the Road," an underrated gem that was a total box office flop upon release but is currently waiting to be rediscovered on Amazon Prime Video.

"Interstate 60" tells the story of Neal Oliver (James Marsden), an aspiring artist who is under pressure from his father to go to law school. With Neal facing an uncertain future, the mischievous trickster O.W. Grant (Gary Oldman) helps him find answers, but in order to get them, he...

Back To The Future's Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd & More Team Up To Locate One Of The Movie's Most Iconic Props
Image
The stars of 1985's Back to the Future, including Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, and more, have teamed up for a global adventure to find one of the movie's most iconic missing props. Back to the Future is full of fantastic, beloved props, including Doc Brown's DeLorean-turned-time machine, but few have had as interesting a history as the gorgeous Cherry Red Es-345 Gibson guitar that Marty plays Chuck Berry's "Johnny B. Goode" on at his mother and father's "Enchantment Under the Sea" high school dance.

Mysteriously, though, the guitar vanished after Back to the Future was shot. The filmmakers tried to locate the guitar when they started production on the 1989 sequel, Back to the Future Part II, but their efforts proved futile. Now, forty years later, Gibson is partnering with Fox, Loyd, Thompson, Harry Waters Jr., Huey Lewis, and Back to the Future co-creator Bob Gale to...

Gale Anne Hurd on Aliens, Roger Corman and the realities of producing some of Hollywood’s biggest hits
Gale Anne Hurd
From xenomorphs to graboids, terminators to the literal walking dead, producer Gale Anne Hurd’s path from Roger Corman’s assistant to one of the most trustworthy pairs of hands in Hollywood is the stuff of movie legend. An early champion and collaborator of James Cameron, a survivor of endless tinseltown fuck-ups and the woman at the production helm of not one, not two, but seven of the genre world’s most celebrated cornerstones.

So it’s no wonder that she’s named this year’s Forbidden Worlds Legend, lionised by a film festival devoted to projecting the biggest, boldest and silliest in sci-fi and horror, on an old IMAX screen the size of a building. It’s somewhat fitting of her character too that Hurd made the journey to collect the award in person, refusing any half-measures and happily spilling all about a very long, very dramatic, and very storied career.

Gibson Launches a Search for The Iconic “Marty McFly” Guitar From ‘Back to the Future’
Image
The guitar that Marty McFly famously played at the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance in Back to the Future has been missing for decades, and hopefully it won’t take a DeLorean and a flux capacitor to find it.

Gibson — the guitar brand behind the iconic cherry red Es-345 Michael J. Fox wielded in the movie — announced that it’s on the hunt for the guitar, with the company sharing a callout Tuesday asking for anyone who may have details on its location to reach out with tips. “Have You Seen This Guitar?” Gibson’s poster reads, accompanied by a still from the movie of Fox playing the instrument. The search — and if all goes the way Gibson would like, the re-discovery — will be featured in an upcoming documentary the company is producing called Lost to the Future.

Gibson posted a video Tuesday with Back to the Future stars Michael J.

Scream 7 (2026)
Scream 7 picks up “at least two years” after the events of Scream VI
Scream 7 (2026)
Scream 7 started filming at the start of January, aiming for a February 27, 2026 release date, with Kevin Williamson, who wrote the screenplay for the original Scream, directing the film from a screenplay by 2022’s Scream and Scream VI writer Guy Busick, who crafted the story with his co-writer on the fifth and sixth films, James Vanderbilt. (Vanderbilt is also a producer on the most recent sequels.) Now, Busick has revealed that Scream 7 picks up “at least two years” after the events of Scream VI.

Spyglass and Paramount once intended to make a Scream 7 that would have starred Scream (2022) and Scream VI leads Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega, with Freaky and Happy Death Day director Christopher Landon at the helm. But then Ortega allegedly asked for a substantial pay raise – and as we saw when Neve Campbell dropped out of Scream VI due to a pay dispute, these pay...

'Scream 7' Writer Explains Why Sequel Focuces on Neve Campbell's Sydney Prescott
Image
The Screamfranchise has spanned six movies, with a seventh installment on the way. With that new film comes the return of Sidney Prescott, the series' ultimate final girl, portrayed by Neve Campbell, following the actress sitting out for the sixth installment after a pay dispute with Spyglass Media Group. In her absence, Melissa Barrera's Sam Carpenter became the focus, something that began when the fifth film was released in 2022. Following a series of behind-the-scenes events that have divided fans, Barrera was let go after the seventh film was announced, and one of the biggest up-and-coming stars of the new series of films, Jenna Ortega, jumped ship. Where is the franchise to go following all of these changes? Well, according to the writer of the seventh installment, Guy Busick, it all had to come back to Sidney Prescott.

During a chat with ComicBook to promote Final Destination Bloodlines, which he also co-wrote,...

“It’s Through Gale”: ‘Scream 7’ Writer Reveals How the Core Four End Up Together Again

Though her personality and push for success may have rubbed several characters the wrong way, fans have Courteney Cox’s Gale Weathers to thank for the addition of two of the Core Four members in Scream 7. Giving “credit where credit is due,” Busick revealed that it was his Scream (2022) and Scream VI co-writer, James Vanderbilt, who first pitched “an organic way why they would be in this movie.”

Careful to not step on the loaded minefield of spoilers, he continued,

“I don’t want to spoil anything, but I will say it’s through Gale. She’s the connective tissue in 5 and 6 and she’s in this. New York was...

Scream 7: How Sidney Prescott & Half The Core Four Are Returning Teased By Writer
Image
The impending return of multiple characters in Scream 7 has been explained by screenwriter Guy Busick. The slasher sequel will only feature two of the Core Four characters who were introduced in 2022's Scream and returned in Scream VI, namely Chad (Mason Gooding) and Mindy Meeks-Martin (Jasmin Savoy Brown), after their co-star Melissa Barrera was fired following pro-Palestine social media posts and Jenna Ortega subsequently exited the project as well. The upcoming Scream 7 also sees Neve Campbell reprising the role of franchise final girl Sidney Prescott after having skipped out on the sixth movie due to a pay dispute.

ComicBook recently interviewed screenwriter Guy Busick when he was promoting his new movie Final Destination Bloodlines. However, the conversation also touched on Scream 7, and he offered some insight into how and why Sidney Prescott and the Meeks-Martin twins will return in the new movie, which was directed by franchise screenwriter Kevin Williamson.

5 Secrets About ‘The Wizard of Oz at Sphere’: How AI Is Bringing Dorothy and the Yellow Brick Road to the World’s Biggest, Most Immersive Screen
Image
This summer, Dorothy and Toto are going to skip down the Yellow Brick Road in the same cutting-edge Las Vegas arena that’s hosted everything from Phish and Backstreet Boys concerts to Mma fights. That’s right, one of Hollywood’s most beloved films, “The Wizard of Oz,” is coming to the Sphere.

But updating the cinema classic for the venue’s massive 16K resolution wraparound interior LED screen required more than a dozen visual effects houses, teams of researchers and archivists, and Jane Rosenthal, the superstar producer behind “The Irishman” and “Meet the Parents.”

As part of this week’s Variety cover story, Rosenthal offered a first look at the secretive project ahead of “The Wizard of Oz at Sphere’s” Aug. 28 opening.

1.) Yes, It Uses AI

The 1939 version of “The Wizard of Oz” was made for a much, much smaller screen than the 160,000-foot one that the Sphere holds.

These Baldur's Gate 3 Figures Are Bad Enough To Warrant Refund Offers
Image
A new set of Baldur's Gate 3 miniatures is now eligible for a refund after players complained about the quality of the product they received. The D&d Icons of the Realms: Baldur's Gate 3 Character Boxed Set, officially licensed by Wizards of the Coast and produced by tabletop manufacturer WizKids, depicts a series of beloved characters from Baldur's Gate 3. For $49.99, players would receive seven hand-painted figurines depicting all six BG3 Origin characters, plus Withers. However, when orders started to arrive, players found that their favorite characters had wonky eyes, strange facial expressions, and an overall melted look.

According to a post on the official WizKids website, first spotted by Kotaku, players who purchased the set through WizKids' official website or local retailers may now return their figures for a full refund. Replacements are also available through WizKids' official forum. WizKids apologized for the apparently poor quality of the figurines, saying, "WizKids...

Back To The Future’s Doc Brown & Mr. Strickland Actors Reunite In Hilarious Photo
Image
Back to the Future’s Doc Brown and Principal Strickland stage a hilarious reunion 40 years after the classic sci-fi movie’s release. Christopher Lloyd playedBack to the Future’s mad genius best friend of Michael J. Fox’s time-hopping Marty McFly, reprising the role in a pair of sequels. A familiar face from scores of ‘80s classics, James Tolkan was perfectly cast as the follicly-challenged disciplinarian in charge of Hill Valley High School, both in 1955 and 1985 (and as Strickland's ancestor in 1885).

40 years after Back to the Future released in theaters, going on to gross $388 million worldwide while launching a franchise, stars Lloyd and Tolkan enjoyed a reunion, as chronicled by Lloyd in a hilarious image paying homage to Strickland’s famous aversion to slackers. The meet-up happened on May 18 at a Fan Expo event in Philadelphia that also featured original Jennifer actor Claudia Wells (via X):

Back to the Future 3’s Ending Should Change Its Writer’s Mind for a 4th Movie
Image
It’s been well over 3 decades since Back to the Future III graced cinemas with one of Hollywood’s most celebrated sci-fi trilogies. But for many fans, the ending never really felt like a chapter closed. While the film summed up Doc Brown and Marty McFly’s arcs with a sappy flourish- time-traveling train and whatnot- the ending left more questions than answers for the viewers.

Teased characters, loopholes in the plot, and the secret lives of Doc’s children fueled years of speculation and, most importantly, a wish for continuation. Despite screenwriter Bob Gale’s repeated refusal to revisit the franchise and consider a fourth film, fans remain firm on their stance that the final film left a lot of loose ends. In fact, the third film’s ending should be a good reason for a sequel.

The ending of Back to the Future III left fans wanting more...

‘Back to the Future’ Writer Breaks Silence on Future Spinoffs After That ‘Cobra Kai’ Tease
Image
The Cobra Kai Season 6 finale was something of a dream, not only did it provide a satisfying ending to the long-running series, but it also left a lot of Easter eggs behind for fans to find. One such Easter egg that caught the eyes of fans was a Back to the Future reference.

The showrunners, Josh Heald and Jon Hurwitz, gave a cheeky nod to the trilogy by talking about creating a Bttf revival spinoff in the finale. However, Back to the Future screenwriter Bob Gale quickly shut down the speculation, addressing the tease in a recent interview.

'Howard the Duck' Documentary About Marvel's Disastrous First Theatrical Feature Acquired by Anchor Bay [Exclusive]
Image
Long before the MCU was raking in billions and telling large, interconnected stories with beloved characters like Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Captain America, there was Howard the Duck. Marvel's first theatrical feature film, which tried to capitalize on the success of the wisecracking, womanizing anthropomorphic duck, was a legendary disaster that had the comic book giant reeling for over a decade from its failure. For as plagued with controversy, contractual disputes, and odd creative choices as it is, though, its tale is fascinating. A new documentary titled Howard the Doc (Or: How I Learned to Start Quacking and Love the Bomb) now looks to tell that story for the first time in film form. Collider can exclusively share that Anchor Bay Entertainment has acquired the project and will release it in theaters this fall, followed by a physical and streaming release.

Howard the Doc takes viewers on a deep dive...

‘Andor’ Season 2 Episodes 10-11 Recap: Is Luthen Dead Or Alive?
Image
Episode 9 of Andor Season 2 was all about the rebels rescuing Mon after she decided to deliver an anti-Emperor speech at the Senate in order to protest the Ghorman massacre that had been brazenly sanctioned by Palpatine. One of Mon’s oldest friends, Bail, wanted to help her get out of Coruscant and reach Yavin, but his team had been compromised thanks to Imperial spies. So, the responsibility fell on Cassian to not only convince Mon that she could trust him, but also to get her out of the Senate building and to the safehouse while being chased by Imperial soldiers and Stormtroopers. Once that job was done, Cassian left Mon in the capable hands of Kleya and Erskin, while he took Wilmon and Dreena to Yavin, where Cassian reunited with Bix. It was a short-lived reunion because, the following day, Bix decided to part ways with Cassian, because she believed...

‘Breaking Bad’s Creepiest Scene Was Improvised, Because Giancarlo Esposito Refused to Be Basic: “And so to me…”
Image
You know who had the real poker face in Breaking Bad? Gustavo Fring. While Walt was still fumbling with Erlenmeyer flasks and cancer-induced desperation, Gus was already cooking up a silent empire under the cover of fried chicken.

Giancarlo Esposito’s Fring wasn’t just another plug in the game—he was the kingpin who smiled like a saint and killed like a ghost. He partnered with the Mexican cartel, played the long game, and after they iced his partner, Gus served cold revenge with a side of strategy. Patient, brutal, surgical.

He didn’t just break bad—he broke the bad guys. And even Heisenberg had to sweat when Fring walked into the room.

‘Swamp Dogg Gets His Pool Painted’ Review: A Free-Spirited Music Doc as Delightfully Weird as Its Subject
Image
At one point in the free-wheeling music documentary “Swamp Dogg Gets His Pool Painted,” the eccentric 82-year-old musician is asked to describe his philosophy on life. “Just be cool, you know?,” Swamp Dogg says. “And it’s fun being yourself. That’s fun like a motherfucker. But you gotta find yourself.”

It’s a fitting summary of a creative life lived exactly on his own terms. A cult figure in certain music circles, Jerry Williams Jr. rose to prominence in the ’70s for his satirical Southern soul records that were equally likely to feature radical political messages or cover art of Williams inside a hot dog bun covered in ketchup and mustard. He adopted the Swamp Dogg moniker to separate his public persona from his previous career as a Muscle Shoals producer who churned out gold records for other artists, though he continued to be a force in the music...

'Back to the Future' Writer Shuts Down Any Chance of a Sequel, Prequel or Spin-off
Image
Bob Gale, the Academy Award-nominated screenwriter of all threeBack to the Futuremovies, has once again declared that there's no chance for the sci-fi adventure franchise to get a modern sequel. Gale has been vocal in the past about where he stands with regard to a sequel, but now he's addressed other possibilities, such as spin-offs, and similarly struck them down with a decisive lightning bolt.

Per a report by Screen Crush, Gale attended the Universal Fan Fest Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood, where Back to the Future had its own "in-world experience." It was there that the writer addressed the chances for Back to the Future 4, and he actually gave a candid answer that should (hopefully) convince everyone not to ask him again:

"I don't know why they keep talking about that! I mean, do they think that if they say it enough times, we're going to actually do it?...

No, Back to the Future 4 is never happening
Bob Gale
Sometimes our nostalgia is so strong that we start asking for things we don’t really need. Like Back to the Future 4. Yes, we would have taken it right off the tail of Part III, but at this point – we’re talking 25 years here – it’s just too late. And we better be happy with that because lightning isn’t going to strike the clock tower ever again.

Bob Gale – who co-wrote the first Bttf alongside director Robert Zemeckis before taking sole credit for the rest of the trilogy – is one of many key players who knows that there will never be a Back to the Future 4. Speaking with People, Gale said, “I mean, it’s like they know in every interview people say, ‘Oh Bob, when is there going to be a Back to the Future 4?’ Never. ‘When is there going to be a prequel?’ Never. ‘When is there going to be a spinoff?...

Bob Gale Reiterates His Stance on More ‘Back to the Future’ Content: “I don’t know why they keep talking about that!”
Image
In just five years, the Back to the Future franchise managed to leave a mark on the history of cinema and especially science fiction. The beloved franchise gave us three movies, two of which were amazing, and one which was fine, although a bit inferior.

Created by Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale, the franchise was finished with the third film, but fans have been demanding more content for decades now, especially since the reboot and revival craze hit Hollywood.

Both Bobs have been adamant that the franchise was done and that there won’t be more content, but Gale was once again asked about a potential new film and he gave another clear-cut answer.
