Wish Star Chris Pine Reacts To Playing a Disney Villain

Chris Pine voices Magnifico, a king with the power to grant wishes in Disney's upcoming film Wish. Pine had fun voicing the character and credits the music by Ben Rice and Julia Michaels for helping him bring Magnifico to life. Wish's directors and producers discuss the evolution of Disney villains and how Magnifico is a charming yet villainous character who viewers will love to hate.

In the upcoming Walt Disney Animation Studios film, Wish, star Chris Pine voices Magnifico, a king with the power to grant wishes. Of course, the character's villainous nature is eventually revealed and the movie's heroine, Asha (voiced by Ariana DeBose), discovers that Magnifico has no intention of making people's wishes come true.

While chatting with ComicBook.com, the Wonder Woman actor opened up about voicing Magnifico and reacted to being called "Disney's hottest villain." Pine said:
