Laurentiu Bãnescu

Laurentiu Bãnescu is a Romanian film and theater actor, born on August 7th 1982 in Targoviste, Romania. He started doing theatre in post-communist Romania at the age of 16, then got his first roles in cinema in 2007. He studied Media and Communication and has a master's degree in Playwriting. Director Nae Caranfil had seen Laurentiu on stage before casting him in two of his features, and finally offered him the leading role in "6,9 on the Richter Scale" (2016). Very much appreciated for his role in "Umbre" (HBO Europe), he works again with director Bogdan Mirica for "Boss" (2023), and also appears in HBO's international production "Spy/Master" (2023). He is married to French illustrator Amandine (Heyndrickx) Bãnescu and they have three children.
