Jay Pharoah has been selected to host “Nickelodeon’s Unfiltered,” previously “Game Face,” premiering July 11 at 8:30 p.m. The six-episode remote game show challenges panelists Darci Lynne, Lex Lumpkin and Gabrielle Nevaeh Green to guess the identities of celebrity guests who have been disguised by an animated 3D filter and voice changer. “Nickelodeon’s Unfiltered” is executive produced by Pharoah, Shaina Farrow and Ben Pluimer.

Amazon Prime Video superhero satire series “The Boys” will return for a second season on Sept. 4 with a three episode premiere. A new sci-fi drama series starring Don Cheadle, Emily Mortimer (“Mary Poppins Returns”) and Helena Howard is in development for Quibi, Jeffrey Katzenberg’s upcoming streaming service, the company announced on Wednesday morning.

Details are sparse, but the show, “Don’t Look Deeper,” will be centered on a California high school senior that finds out she’s not human — a revelation that will ultimately put her life in danger. Howard, who starred in “Madeline’s Madeline” last year, is set to co-star in the role. Twilight” and “Lords of Dogtown” director Catherine Hardwicke will both direct and executive produce the series.

Former “NCIS: New Orleans” showrunner Jeffrey Lieber is attached as writer, executive producer and showrunner for the project. Charlie McDonnell will also write and serve as Ep for the show.

Shortform streaming service Quibi has attracted some big names for its latest project, a sci-fi drama called Don't Look Deeper.

The project, from production companies New Form and 30 Ninjas, will star Don Cheadle (Black Monday, Avengers: Endgame), Emily Mortimer (Mary Poppins Returns) and Helena Howard (Madeline's Madeline). Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight, This Is Us) will direct, and Lost co-creator Jeffrey Lieber is writing along with Charlie McDonnell. For a while there, most indies getting released were a variation of two formulas: obtuse puzzlers or dark narratives featuring young/naive protagonists. Sure, it was a quirky platformer, but it told a fascinating story and featured gorgeous narration from Danny Wallace. Enter Volume, a quirky stealth title from Bithell that tells a vaguely interesting story and once again sports beautiful narration from Wallace.

While it’s still on course to launch across PlayStation 4, PC and Mac later today, the PlayStation Vita version of Mike Bithell’s Volume has been delayed by two weeks, the developer announced today.

Taking to the game’s official blog, Bithell penned an open letter to Vita owners anticipating the release of his sophomore title on Sony’s handheld, and hinted that the final technical hurdles facing the creative team should be overcome in a couple of weeks. Per Bithell:

Described as the overarching antagonist — a malevolent CEO who just so happens to control England — the voice and motion capture specialist can be heard at the tail end of the video.
