James A. Heim is a Los Angeles based producer, writer, and director. A graduate of Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, he has produced and directed several films and music videos that have screened at festivals across the United States. He most recently produced the independent feature "Help Wanted", produced "Sixteen" for the prestigious AFI Directing Workshop for Women+, co-produced "Nian" for 20th Digital Studio and Hulu, and has worked in development with such companies as The Kennedy/Marshall Company, Priority Pictures, and Circle of Confusion. With a deep appreciation for collaboration, James believes in the profound impact that storytelling can have on shaping perspectives and inspiring change. He aims to explore the fragility and complicated nature of the human condition in his work, with a keen interest in identity, purpose, and transformation.
