  • She described herself as an introvert and a home-person.
  • After graduating from high school in 2011, she took a gap year despite being accepted to Columbia University. During that time, she made a major breakthrough in her career, landing the iconic role of Kugy in Perahu Kertas and singing the film's soundtrack, Perahu Kertas, which garnered over 128 million plays on Spotify.
  • She went viral in 2019 after being accepted into two Ivy League universities for her master's degree: Harvard University and Stanford University. She later revealed in an interview with Najwa Shihab that she chose Stanford, where she later earned her double degree.
  • Although she's now well-known for her fluency in English, she struggled with the language as a child. In her YouTube vlog, she shares how, when she was about to transfer to an international school, the headmaster warned that she might have to repeat the class due to her limited English skills.
  • Graduated from the University of Oxford with a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, and earned dual Master's degrees in Education (MA) and Business Administration (MBA) from Stanford University.
  • She met her Korean-American husband, Jesse Choi, during her time at Stanford.
  • Selected as one of Indonesian representative to meet former British Prime Minister, David Cameron, during his visit to Jakarta in 2015.
  • Philanthropy: Established in 2018, the Maudy Ayunda Foundation is an organisation committed to empowering young Indonesians and building a community of change-makers in the fields of education, self-development and social action. Through this organisation, Maudy has done 2 batches of her Mentorship and Scholarship Program back in 2018 and 2023.
  • During her school years, she was an active member of the theatre club and regularly participated in musical performances.
  • Co-founded 'From This Island' in 2023, a skincare brand that uses Indonesian local botanicals as its hero ingredients.
