If you’re still not over Lena Dunham’s latest, these picks will ease the heartbreak.
Rom-coms are my go-to genre — always have been. There’s just something about falling in love with a show at the same time the characters are falling for each other. And when it ends? Total heartbreak. That’s the vibe with “Too Much,” Lena Dunham’s new series about a heartbroken American and a low-key London musician who find themselves tangled in a love story neither of them planned for. It’s quiet, honest, and a little awkward (in the best way), with the kind of emotional pull that sneaks up on you. So if that ending left you feeling adrift, here are a few more shows that might just fill the gap and get you back in love.

Hulu cancelled Dollface after its uninspiring 58% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Created by Jordan Weiss with Kat Dennings in the lead role. The show earned acclaim for its debut season, but the ratings faded off later.
Cancelling a show that had a style and voice, even if it had mixed reviews, feels a little bit shortsighted. It’s not always just about numbers. It was about sidelining a female-driven, quirky comedy, which was willing to take creative risks. It was a show with true potential, and I can’t let it go because I feel Dollface deserved better than being cancelled due to a simple metric.
Why the Rotten Tomatoes Score for Hulu’s Dollface Doesn’t Reveal the Whole Story
Leading with the fact that Dollface earned 58% on Rotten Tomatoes seems to be misleading. While the numbers were low, critics constantly praised the surreal inventive elements and the cast of the show,...

The Cleaning Ladyseason 5 gets a definitive update, as the future of the fan-favorite crime drama becomes clear. Based on an Argentinian series, the Fox dramafocuses on Thony De La Rosa (Daredevil's Élodie Yung). A Cambodian-Filipino former surgeon, Thony gets by as a cleaning service worker alongside her sister-in-law. Everything changes, though, when she witnesses a murder.
Since the adaptation's debut in January 2022, loyal fans have invested in Thony's maneuvering within a criminal organization. But signs of trouble for The Cleaning Lady season 5 were evident as soon as new episodes premiered. Fox made it official in June, cancelling the crime drama after four seasons.
Asked whether the drama seriescould be saved by another channel or platform, TVLineshoots down that possibility. The outlet makes clear, in the response below, that there are no plans to pick up The Cleaning Lady elsewhere:

Pretty Little Liars debuted 15 years ago.
Nearly eight years after wrapping its final season, the Liars still have a place in viewers’ hearts.
The Freeform show created a huge fandom and catapulted a few of its stars into the main spotlight.

In keeping with the celebration of 15 years of Pretty Little Liars, we have decided to share an update on where some stars are today.
From being working moms to slinking into a more “normal” life, the women (and men) have certainly changed since Season 1 debuted.
Here is where you can find the Liars today.
(Eric McCandless/ABC Family) Lucy Hale As Aria Montgomery
Aria Montgomery was one of the characters that viewers were split about.
Some loved her, while others loved to hate her.
A true sign of a great actress is someone who can make the fandom feel something for the character.

The cast of Pretty Little Liars has agreed that they would be open to the idea of reviving the show, but it would require a different direction. A combination of I Know What You Did Last Summer meets Gossip Girl made Pretty Little Liars an unexpected hit for ABC's cable channel Freeform. The show ran seven seasons, and saw a raft of character arcs, plot twists surrounding the identities of Pretty Little Liars' vengeful antagonist 'A', romances, and unexpected deaths. The show was well received by critics and developed a cult following globally.
Speaking to THR, for a retrospective of the show turning 15, cast members Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Tyler Blackburn, Shay Mitchell, Sasha Pieterse, and Ian Harding revealed they would be open to a revival as long as one condition is met. Discussing the chances of a reunion nine years after the series finale, the general consensus among the...

On the eve of Pretty Little Liars’ 15-year anniversary, the five original “Liars” and series creator I. Marlene King have gone on record saying they are ready to return to Rosewood—if the format is right. “It would need to be a film because I don’t think it could sustain another season,” Troian Bellisario told The Hollywood Reporter, comments later amplified by E! Online. King echoed the idea, saying she’s “game” for “a movie or limited 10 episodes” so long as she can craft “a good idea to bring everybody back.”
Castmates Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell, Ashley Benson and Sasha Pieterse each laid down their own conditions—Mitchell “can’t do it without my girls,” Benson jokingly wants Hanna to be the new “A,” while Pieterse is simply “always open” to a reunion. Hale, who reunites with co-star Tyler Blackburn whenever schedules allow, recently told fans she would join a project “in a heartbeat.

“I’m still here bitches, and I know everything –A,” read an anonymous text to four best friends 15 years ago.
During the summer of 2010 in the fictional town of Rosewood, Pennsylvania, Pretty Little Liars, which was based on the book series by author Sara Shepard, premiered on ABC Family (now Freeform), sent social media into a frenzy and has remained a highly talked-about show in pop culture. The mystery drama centered around the self-titled Pretty Little Liars — Aria Montgomery (Lucy Hale), Spencer Hastings (Troian Bellisario), Hanna Marin (Ashley Benson) and Emily Fields (Shay Mitchell) — who reunited due to the ominous texts after having drifted apart for a year when their best friend, Alison Dilaurentis (Sasha Pieterse), went missing.

For many, the early 2010s were peak TV. They didn't offer the best quality shows, the way modern Emmy-winning shows like Succession, The Bear, or The Handmaid's Talehave made an impact, but they gathered loyal followers and became cult classics for many.
Pretty Little Liars was one of them. The show didn't earn any major awards, although it received great reviews, and, even eight years later, its legacy is undeniable. Lead star Lucy Hale took to Instagram to celebrate a major milestone: Pretty Little Liars' 15th anniversary, highlighting that people are still discovering the show.

The actress shared a series of photos from the set of the teen drama, including her co-stars Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Shay Mitchell, Sasha Pierce, Ian Harding, and more. Some shots were from the series, and many represented fun moments the cast had when filming.

Both “The Cleaning Lady” and “Alert: Missing Persons Unit” have been canceled at Fox, Variety has learned.
“The Cleaning Lady” had aired four seasons at the broadcast network, while “Alert: Missing Persons Unit” had aired three. Both shows wrapped up with their respective season finales in the past two weeks.
Fox announced their fall schedule going into their upfront presentation to advertisers in May, with both “Cleaning Lady” and “Alert” in limbo at that time. The two shows now join fellow Fox drama “Rescue: Hi-Surf” on the chopping block.
Previously, Fox gave out massive four-season renewals for “The Simpsons,” “Bob’s Burgers” and “Family Guy,” while also bringing “American Dad” back to the network. The medical drama “Doc” has also been renewed for a second season, while Fox has picked up the one-hour comedy “Best Medicine,” dramatic thriller “Memory of a Killer,” and the multi-part scripted event “The Faithful.”

Emily Alyn Lind plays the lead, Cadence Sinclair, in Prime Video’s new series, We Were Liars. The series is based on E. Lockhart’s 2014 novel of the same name, which received critical acclaim. The teaser trailer of the show just dropped, and from the way it is presented, fans couldn’t help but immediately think of Freeform’s thriller series Pretty Little Liars.
At the beginning, it appears that we are in for a summer vacation show until the mood quickly changes into something much darker. Julie Plec of The Vampire Diaries fame and Carina Adly MacKenzie of The Originals fame serve as the co-showrunners of the show.

Oh, Peach Salinger. What would You be without, well… you? Despite the hilariously pretentious name, the trust fund, and a vanity so blinding it deserved its own filter, Peach Salinger was That girl.
The one who clocked the psycho way before anyone else even noticed the red flags were, in fact, blood-soaked. Say what you want about her, but Peach had layers. She was messy, dramatic, and high-key obsessed with her bestie. Yeah, she had her toxic moments (don’t we all?), but Peach sniffed Joe out like a Chanel-spritzed bloodhound way before anyone else even flinched. And for that alone? She deserved better. Way better.
Let’s be honest—this woman deserves a little posthumous justice, and I’m here to serve it.

Stop reading this right now if you haven't finished all of "You" — spoilers are coming!
The fifth and final season of "You," the Netflix series that lets noted Taylor Swift fan Penn Badgley play a serial killer convinced he's actually some sort of white knight, is finally out ... which means we can finally assess Joe Goldberg's (Badgley) body count. No, I don't mean how many people Joe has dated throughout the series; I'm talking about how many people he's killed.
In case you've forgotten exactly what went down in the show's first four seasons, here's the overview. Joe Goldberg, who presents himself as a hopeless romantic but actually seems to love murder much more than he loves love, had a very difficult childhood; his biological father abused both him and his mother, and ultimately, a young Joe shoots and kills him.

Tim Allen’s co-star in his latest sitcom just shared a hilarious story on her social media. Allen stars alongside Kat Dennings in Shifting Gears, the comedy following a headstrong widower, Matt (Allen), who owns a classic car workshop. When his newly separated daughter and her teenage children arrive at his house, they begin to work on restoring more than just cars. Before teaming up with Allen for Shifting Gears, Dennings made a name for herself by starring alongside Robert Downey Jr. in Charlie Bartlett. She then further expanded her stardom by joining the MCU, but the Shifting Gears star recently took to her Threads account to share that while roaming the grounds at Avengers Campus, she didn’t understand why people were waving at her. For a fleeting moment, Dennings completely forgot that she’s an MCU star.
Kat Dennings earned a credit for her role as Darcy in five MCU projects.

You season five is set to return to Netflix on April 24th, 2025. Jinkies indeed! After two divisive seasons, Max won’t be renewing Mindy Kaling’s adult animated series Velma for another season. The show, starring Kaling as the voice of Velma Dinkley, lasted for two seasons before Max ripped off its mask, revealing a cancelation notice where a mustache-twirling villain’s head should be. The cancelation of Velma hits hard for fans of the series who genuinely enjoy Kaling’s unique spin on the Scooby gang and their darkly-themed misadventures.
“Over the past two seasons, Mindy [Kaling] and Charlie [Grandy] have created an incredibly fun and fresh world within the iconic whodunit franchise,” Max said in a statement. “While we won’t be moving forward with another season of the series, we thank them for their compelling coming-of-age storytelling, unrivaled clues, and hilarious hijinks.”

Velma Dinkley has solved her last mystery (for now).
Max has canceled its animated series Velma after two seasons. The show’s second season debuted in April, and a Halloween special that premiered on Oct. 3 marks the final outing for the show.
Velma, created by Charlie Grandy (The Office, The Mindy Project), is a more adult-oriented prequel/reimagining of the brainy Scooby-Doo character. Mindy Kaling (who’s also an executive producer) voices Velma, who’s haunted by the disappearance of her mother and dealing with the perils of being a teenager along with solving mysteries.

So long, Velma: Max has opted not to renew adult animated series after two seasons.

The 10-episode second season of the Max Original from Warner Bros. Animation dropped April 25.
The show followed Velma (voiced by Kaling) — the unsung and under-appreciated brains of the Scooby-Doo Mystery Inc. gang — as she found a way to balance her detective work with the demands of her newfound popularity before it’s too late.
The series also stars Constance Wu, Sam Richardson and Glenn Howerton in leading roles. Guest actors included Jane Lynch, Wanda Sykes, Russell Peters, Melissa Fumero, Stephen Root, Gary Cole,...
