The staff at IMDb is celebrating the end of a great year of TV with a look back at our favorites from 2025.

IMDb Staff's Favorite Series of 2025

Ashley Comeau is a Queer, award-winning actor, producer, and writer with over 15 years of professional experience. As a Second City mainstage alumna she wrote and starred in three theatrical revues which garnered her both a Dora and a Canadian Comedy Award nomination.

She was named 'Best Female Improviser' from NOW Magazine's "Best Of Awards" and most recently won a Canadian Comedy Award for Second City's first all female-identifying revue, She The People. Her comedy troupe The Lusty Mannequins were named 'Best of the Fest' at the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival, and won the 'Best Comedy Characters of the Year' Award from Phoenix Remix, UK for their original show Uncommonwealth in their debut year at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Select theatre acting credits include: She The People (Mirvish/Just For Laughs), Uncommonwealth (Edinburgh Fringe), Little Black Dress The Musical, People Suck, Songbuster: An Improvised Musical, Noises Off, Girls Night Out! Selected TV/Film credits include: The Boys (Amazon Prime), Transplant (NBC), Murdoch Mysteries (CBC) Odd Squad Mobile Unit (PBS/TVO), Tallboyz (CBC), Christmas Jars (Muse), Degrassi: The Next Class (Netflix/DHX).

Two shows that she was an associate producer and a creative consultant on (It's My Party, TVO, Tallboyz, CBC) have been nominated for Canadian Screen Awards. Selected TV producing credits include: Paranormal 911 (T+E), It's My Party (TVO), Haunted Hospitals (T+E), The Zone (YTV). She had the privilege and honour of working as Consulting Producer on Tallboyz season three during lockdown.

Selected Live Production credits include: BANFF World Media Program Competition Awards Luncheon and Gala (Achilles/Brunico) Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival (TSCF), Worldwide Short Film Festival (WSFF),and the Mama City Improv Festival, Africa's first International Improv Festival which she co-founded and co-produces.

She has written editorials for Today's Parent, CBC's Punchline and The Walrus Laughs.

She has travelled the world both performing and facilitating improv and corporate communications. She even co-founded Africa's first international improv festival the Mama City Improv Festival in Cape Town, where she goes every year to celebrate the best and the brightest improv talent from around the globe.
