Fans of Xo, Kitty have plenty to celebrate as production on the much-anticipated third season has officially wrapped. The show is now expected to enter post-production, where the upcoming episodes will be carefully edited and polished before being released to viewers.
We knew that the cameras on Xo, Kitty season 3 would stop rolling soon because of a casting call from earlier this year, which stated that filming would take place from May to July 2025. We just didn't know when in July. Over the past few weeks, Xo, Kitty star Regan Aliyah has been keeping fans updated on where she and the rest of the cast are in the production process via her X page.
On July 3, she replied to a fan about the third season, saying that she was sad that filming was almost over. Then, on July 11, she shared on her X page that they were in the last week of production.

For all the brand-new chaos Kitty brings to Kiss in the sophomore season of Netflix’s Xo, Kitty, things ended in a more mellow way compared to the finale of Season 1. Showrunner Jessica O’Toole, who also worked with Jenny Han on Season 3 of The Summer I Turned Pretty, chalked it up to timing.
Season 2 of the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before spinoff series watched Anna Catchcart’s main character and youngest Song Covey sister return to the Korean International School of Seoul to finish out her year studying abroad there and to track down the mysterious Simon mentioned in her mother’s letter. Of course, the love triange dynamics came back with a force this season as well because, despite her best efforts, Kitty still had feelings for Yuri (Gia Kim) and Min Ho’s heart-on-his-sleeve confession to her at the end of Season 1 is in the back of her mind too.

Netflix’s Xo, Kitty season 2 includes a fantastic soundtrack that blends together K-pop and American pop music, blending the cultures that Kitty has experienced. In 2023, Netflix released the first season of their To All the Boys spinoff starring Anna Cathcart as Kitty Song-Covey. Continuing the story of season 1, Xo, Kitty deep friendships, teen romances, and family drama take center stage in season 2 as she returns to the Korean Independent School of Seoul.

Netflix’s Xo, Kitty season 2 includes a fantastic soundtrack that blends together K-pop and American pop music, blending the cultures that Kitty has experienced. Back at Kiss (Korean Independent School of Seoul) following her first semester’s troubles and getting kicked out, Kitty searches for a new beginning—yet finds herself pulled into emotional tangles once again.
Season 2 continues previous storylines: Kitty and Dae share uncomfortable moments after their split; her feelings toward Yuri stay hidden; her friendship with Min Ho shifts after his honest admission of feelings. Spoiler Alert: This piece lightly spoils Xo, Kitty Episode 6.
Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo) pays a visit to Kitty Song Covey (Anna Cathcart) at a crucial point in Season 2 of Xo, Kitty.
Kavinsky and Kitty first formed a very special bond back in Netflix’s To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before (2018), based on the first book of Jenny Han’s best-selling trilogy, when Peter received a love letter from Kitty’s older sister Lara Jean Song Covey (Lana Condor). His cameo appearance in the show, which was revealed in the Season 2 trailer, proved a very special moment both on and off camera.
“The Recruit was filming in Seoul, and there ended up being one day that he could shoot, and it happened to be our first day of shooting of the full season,” showrunner Jessica O’Toole told Deadline. “He’s in a later episode, but we were like ‘Well, we’re gonna make this happen.

Warning! Spoilers about Xo, Kitty season 2, episodes 6 and 8 ahead.
January 2025 is a treasure trove for returning Netflix TV shows, including the popular spinoff TV series of one of the streaming giant’s best rom-com movie trilogies of recent years. Netflix put romance stories front and center in the 2020s, whether those were set in an alternative historical period like Bridgerton, revolved around the festive season like Love at First Sight, or hilariously mixed romance and crime like Hit Man. The plethora of romantic comedies wouldn’t have been possible without the chart-topping teen rom-com contributing to the genre revival in the late 2010s, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before.

Netflix's delightful romantic dramedy series Xo, Kitty returned for a second season in early 2025, but will the To All the Boys spinoff get renewed for season 3? Centered on the title character who originally appeared in the aforementioned movies, the show follows Kitty (Anna Cathcart) as she travels to Korea to attend the prestigious boarding school where her mother was once a student. Though she originally travels all the way across the globe to be with her long-distance boyfriend, Kitty can't help but play matchmaker for her fellow students while also trying to figure out her own path.

Have you already binge-watched all eight episodes of Xo, Kitty season 2 now that they're streaming on Netflix? We certainly have, and there's no way this incredible teen series ends here. Sadly, Netflix hasn’t officially confirmed a third season yet, but the way season 2 ends strongly hints that the story could continue.
In the second season, Kitty Song Covey moves on from her teen matchmaking days as she starts a new semester at Kiss. With a strong determination to avoid drama, she focuses on keeping a low profile, concentrating on her studies, and uncovering more about her mom. However, being a teenager and a romantic at heart, she can't entirely steer clear of love and relationships.
While working to get over her crush on Yuri and navigating her complicated feelings for Min Ho, Kitty explores the world of casual dating. Meanwhile, her friends are also doing their best to navigate...

Xo, Kitty is back! The brand-new second season is now streaming on Netflix, and in it, we see Kitty make her return to South Korea for her second semester at Kiss. After being expelled and spending her month-long winter break in Portland, Kitty gets a second chance to re-enroll at Kiss, thanks to Yuri pulling some strings. This time, she’s determined to focus on herself—no more drama, no more meddling in others' lives.
Kitty plans to dedicate herself to her studies and learn more about her mom. However, sticking to this plan proves difficult when she’s still hung up on the girl she can't forget from last semester. Yuri helped her discover her bisexuality, and as much as she tries to get over her crush, the feelings remain intense, making it nearly impossible for Kitty to stay focused on anything other than her unresolved emotions.

A little less than two years ago, I expected to brush off Netflix's Xo, Kitty with barely a second thought, operating under the assumption that the To All the Boys I've Loved Before spinoff was unnecessary. And yet, after season 1 exceeded my expectations, I spent the last 19 months eagerly waiting for the next chapter in Kitty Song Covey's story. Now, having binged all eight episodes of Xo, Kitty season 2, I'm thrilled to say the YA show is just as entertaining and heartfelt as ever.
Xo, Kitty is a comedy-drama series from the creator of To All The Boys I Loved Before, Jenny Han. Teen matchmaker Kitty Song Covey thinks she knows everything there is to know about love. But when she moves halfway across the world to reunite with her long-distance boyfriend, she'll soon realize that relationships are much more complicated when it’s your heart on the line.

Netflix's Xo, Kitty continues the story of Kitty Song-Covey, bringing together an impressive cast of up-and-coming actors, led by Anna Cathcart. After helping build her sister Lara Jean's relationship with Peter Kavinsky in the To All The Boys movies, Kitty Song-Covey embarks on a journey of self-discovery and romance at the Korean Independent School of Seoul (Kiss) in Xo, Kitty. The unapologetically young adult rom-com might be packed with clichés and tropes, but it’s still remarkably fun to watch, thanks to the lovable cast.

Classic move, considering that the series is an expansion of...
