After being refused benefits and under constant harassment by the landlord (Chris Repps) for not paying any rent for two years, it is a constant struggle for poverty-stricken lovers Eden (Sophia Disgrace) and Matilda (Rahel Kapsaski). As the product of a modern Britain, the only income coming in is what Matilda earns workingat a sleazy burlesque nightclub called ‘Juicy Girls’. But what money she makes barely puts food on the table, let alone pay the bills or get the things which they really want!

Times look brighter when Matilda manages to get her hands on some extra money from a client, but rather than pay the debts owed they decide to spend the money...

Spidarlings is a new body-horror punk rock musical which makes its Blu-ray release on July 10th, 2018. I got a chance to the actress, producer and make-up/effects artist Rahel Kapsaski a few questions about what attracted her to the film, what makes the film connect so well with the audience and her character Matilda.

How did you first get involved with the film Spidarlings?

I knew about Spidarlings since Salem [Kapsaski] first started writing the script in 2011. Salem eventually asked me if I would like to play the role of Matilda and of course I happily accepted.

What originally attracted you to the film?

I’ve been involved with it not only as an actress but also co-producer, special effects and makeup artist from the start of the production. I loved Salem’s vision, script and characters and simply everything about it, so it was an amazing journey being part of...

Spidarlings is a new body-horror punk rock musical which makes its Blu-ray release on July 10th, 2018. I got a chance to the film music composer and actor Jeff Kristian a few questions about how he got involved with the film, why he thinks it has connected so well with the audience and his favourite scene.

How did you first get involved with the film Spidarlings?

As a songwriter. Tiffaney Wells asked if I could pen her character Gena a song for this whacky new movie she was doing. Director Salem Kapsaski liked ‘Sing A Happy Song’ and asked if I could write a dozen more… no pressure, ha ha! Salem asked if I would be in the film and wrote The Diva character for me.

What originally attracted you to the film?

I love to collaborate, but for me it always begins with the script. I liked the message and...

After five years in the making - Queer Punk Rock Musical "Spidarlings" is finally completed and about to be unleashed by Troma Entertainment. The film stars Sophia Disgrace ("Grindsploitation"), Rahel Kapsaski ("Soul Looting") and Lee Mark Jones (formerly Gypsy Lee Pistolero of The Gypsy Pistoleros) among a cult cast including Rusty Goffe ("Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory", "Star Wars"), infamous Hentai/Manga artist Toshio Maeda ("La Blue Girl"), June Brown ("EastEnders") and the creator of "The Toxic Avenger" himself, Troma co-founder Lloyd Kaufman. Lloyd Kaufman, Troma Entertainment President and creator of The Toxic Avenger, has this week announced the acquisition of Salem Kapsaski’s punk rock musical Spidarlings, with the films World Premiere set for Troma Now on July 1st.

Poverty stricken lovers Eden and Matilda have enough trouble just getting through the days…Their Landlord is trying to terrorize them and strange things seem to be going on at “Juicy Girls”, the place where Matilda works…but when Eden buys a pet spider the real troubles start.

Sci-fi-london has unveiled details of the the line-up for its Oktoberfest 2011, which is this year moving from London's West End to Camden Town.
