Snow White Slammed by Actors With Dwarfism at Scaled-Back Premiere
Image
The premiere of Disney’s live-action Snow White has brought even more problems to the door of the latest reimagined movie from the Disney vault. Taking its premise from the original 1937 animated classic, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the film has been marred by controversy from the casting of Rachel Zegler in the titular role and both her and costar Gal Gadot’s opposing political opinions on the Israel-Gaza war. However, another huge point of contention has been the way Disney has handled the movie’s seven little people – which has led to a number of actors with dwarfism protesting at the premiere.

Disney’s attempt to remake Snow White has not been a smooth one, and the subject of its seven central characters has been a particularly divisive one. While appearing at the premiere of the movie, actress Ali Chapman – who has dwarfism – slammed the decision of Disney...

Here's when to expect Companion to be available to watch at home
Image
Closing out January, Warner Bros. Pictures has brought the horror film Companion to theaters. Early reviews have been positive, with many critics praising the movie for its unexpected twists, dark humor, and strong performances, especially from Sophie Thatcher and Jack Quaid.

If you're a horror fan, this is definitely one to see on the big screen. However, there's no need to panic if you miss it in theaters. You’ll still have a chance to catch it when it hits digital platforms. It is also expected to make its way to a streaming platform eventually. So, whether you prefer the theater or watching from home, Companion will soon be accessible for horror fans everywhere.

Jack Quaid as Josh in Companion | Warner Bros. Pictures

Ava DuVernay has become the first Black woman to have her image on a Ben & Jerry’s pint.

The ubiquitous ice cream company on Tuesday announced the release of “Lights! Caramel! Action! directed by Ava DuVernay,” which will feature a mix of vanilla ice cream with salted caramel swirls, graham cracker swirls and gobs of chocolate chip cookie dough. DuVernay personally curated the flavor creation, which will be available in both milk-based and non-dairy versions. Pints will begin shipping across the country in January 2023.

“Ice cream is a simple joy of life. A comfort food that I’ve turned to on many days — making sunny ones brighter and dark ones sweeter,” DuVernay said in a statement. “Partnering with Ben & Jerry’s, a company that I’ve long admired for their commitment to social justice,...

Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch in Sherlock (2010)
Pete Holmes spoofs Sherlock Holmes -- Video
Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch in Sherlock (2010)
Sherlock Holmes doesn’t have quite the detective skills we think he does — but he does have a pretty impressive imagination.

Comedian Pete Holmes plays Sherlock in a spoof of the BBC series that stars Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) and Martin Freeman (Watson), revealing that the famous detective actually has horrible deduction skills. In the video, Holmes’ Sherlock makes assumptions about James Watson’s (Matt McCarthy) life based on things like the kind of phone he has and the shoes he’s wearing which all end up being completely wrong. Maybe he was just having a bad day?

Check out the...
