Actress Sohaila Kapur, who is known for ‘Phantom’, ‘Aarya’, ‘The Family Man’ and ‘Special Ops’, will be seen portraying the role of a queen in the upcoming period drama film ‘Bengal 1947: An Untold Love Story’.

The film delves into the intricacies of a unique love story woven by the writer-director Akashaditya Lama. The actress said that playing a compassionate and caring queen offered a completely new and engaging experience.

The film promises a blend of period drama and romance, and delves into the intricacies of a unique love story, brought to life by writer-director Akashaditya Lama.

After months of speculation and allegations, the Hon'ble Mumbai High Court yesterday ruled in favour of director Ashutosh Gowariker in a suit filed against him by Akashaditya Lama wherein Lama had alleged that Gowariker stole his script for his upcoming film Mohenjo Daro. Hon'ble Justice G.S. Patel dismissed an injunction plea against the film's release and imposed exemplary and punitive costs of Rs. 1,50,000 against Lama.
