Some of the world's artists are celebrating Elton John's musical legacy with two albums: Revamp (Island Records) and Restoration (Universal Music Group Nashville), both out Apr. 6. Both will celebrate John's decades of hits, which he produced with songwriter Bernie Taupin. Revamp features songs reimagined by Mary J. Blige, Alessia Cara, Coldplay, Miley Cyrus, Florence and the Machine, Lady Gaga, The Killers, Mumford and Sons, Pink and Logic, Q-Tip and Demi Lovato, Queens of the Stone Age, Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith. Despite Mumford and Sons being the headline band two days later, on the Thursday night at U.K.’s recently concluded Latitude Festival (like a slimmed down and slightly more sedate version of Glastonbury), there was no question about what the main attraction was.

The victims of the bombing during Ariana Grande’s Manchester show on May 22 were honored on Sunday during the “One Love Manchester” benefit concert.

The concert started with a moment of silence to honor the victims of both the Manchester bombing and London terrorist attack on Saturday night.

Marcus Mumford, the lead singer of Mumford and Sons, was the first performer to take the stage, performing a solo version of Mumford and Sons’ “Timshel.” He was followed by Manchester’s own Take That, who performed “Shine” and “Giants.”

“Thanks to Ariana for inviting us tonight,” said Take That singer Gary Barlow.

Kings of Leon are back and ready to put out their brand new album. Their seventh full-length effort, entitled Walls, is set for release on October 14th via RCA Records.

After ten years worth of albums produced by Angelo Petraglia, the band enlisted Grammy award winning producer and songwriter Markus Dravs to work behind the boards on Walls. Despite the change, Kings of Leon were still in good hands: Dravs’ credits include albums from Arcade Fire, Mumford and Sons, and Coldplay.

Mumford & Sons announced Thursday that it will cancel its appearance at Bonnaroo, hot on the heels of bassist Ted Dwane's surgery for a blood clot on the surface of his brain. According to the band on Facebook, Dwane's surgery went well and he's "on the road to a full recovery," but in order to give him time to recover, the four-piece has nixed its appearance at the festival, as well as a set at Colorado's Telluride Bluegrass Festival next week. The Cure, Nine Inch Nails, Mumford & Sons, The Killers and Phoenix will headline Chicago’s Lollapalooza in August, the festival announced today. The annual festival’s ninth year will also feature performances by The Postal Service, New Order, Vampire Weekend, Queens of the Stone Age, The National and Kendrick Lamar. Mumford & Sons have announced their highly anticipated sophomore album, Babel, will be released on Sept. 25 and include twelve new songs from British folk-rockers. Last year, Mumford & Sons, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and Old Crow Medicine Show joined forces for the Railroad Revival Tour, a trek that took them through the American Southwest on a journey that was nearly as long as the names of the band names involved.
