Here's who could most likely cross over next in School Spirits season 3
Image
School Spirits will be coming back for a third season in 2026, and we couldn't be more thrilled. The hit teen drama series was renewed just a couple of weeks after the season 2 finale dropped, which was sooner than expected. It took two months from the season 1 finale's release for the show to be renewed for a second season, so we were expecting a similar wait this time around. However, the fast renewal for season 3 means we’ll soon be back in the world of School Spirits, ready to see what’s next for Maddie and her living and ghostly friends.

After that jaw-dropping season 2 finale, which we're still trying to process, we’re eager to see how the story will continue to unfold in the third installment. While Maddie's journey ended on a somewhat positive note, we still have a lot of unanswered questions about her friends and the mysterious happenings at Split River High.

School Spirits Season 2 Premiere Date Revealed: Here’s Why We’re Already Concerned
Image
The ghosts in Split River High School are scary enough already, but Paramount+ just pulled a move that is far scarier.

The streaming platform announced this morning that School Spirits Season 2 will premiere on Thursday, January 30, with a three-episode drop.

While we’re excited to get some much-needed resolution to the many mysteries School Spirits Season 1 threw our way, the fact that it premieres in just over a week is concerning.

(Paramount+/Screenshot)

Promotion can make or break any project, so announcing a premiere date this close to the debut date doesn’t instill hope that many people will find it.

School Spirits Season 1 had a devoted audience, but it’s hard to tell whether they’ll get the message in time that new episodes are available to devour.

Genre shows are disappearing before our very eyes, and the last thing we need is for School Spirits to face a similar fate.

Headlined by Cobra Kai's Peyton List, and adapted from a graphic novel, School Spirits focuses on the story of Maddie Nears (List), a teen girl who finds herself stuck in purgatory. Hoping to move on, Maddie investigates the mystery of who murdered her and why. With a School Spirits cast that also includes Kristian Ventura, Milo Manheim, and Spencer Macpherson, the supernatural high school drama has built up a following since its debut on Paramount+ in March 2023.

Speaking with Collider, ahead of season 2's premiere in early 2025, co-creator Megan Trinrud and executive producer Oliver Goldstick talked about what's ahead in the teen drama's second installment. Trinrud, who created the series with sibling Nate Trinrud, teased that the series will explore more supernatural issues and will make more stylistic choices. As for Goldstick, he talked about...

The series had twists and turns as Maddie's ghostly form allows her to learn the secrets of her friends and family. She manages to talk to one fellow student for help which leads to a stunning finale.

10 Times An Actor Has Shared A Scene With Themselves In A Sci-Fi TV Show (& Why)
Image
Actors in sci-fi shows often have to act opposite themselves, whether because of time travel, clones, or alternate versions of their characters. Some shows find the concept of actors sharing scenes with themselves appealing and use it more than once. Actors may be expected to either duplicate their performance or portray a new version of their character in these scenes.

Due to the nature of sci-fi, various scenarios can arise where an actor on a TV show is required to act opposite themselves, whether the scene involves time travel, a variant, a duplicate, or an evil twin. In some cases, dual-casting the same actor isn't always due to narrative quirks. Performers can also double their workload in a recording booth rather than in front of a camera, as voice work can often involve an actor filling more than one role.

The event of actors sharing scenes with themselves has become...

Paul Rudd and the ‘Living With Yourself’ Directors Share Their Key Behind-the-Scenes Secrets
Paul Rudd
Paul Rudd, he’ll have you know, is not a method actor. But that didn’t stop the “Living With Yourself” star from exhibiting a few character-specific traits — when the cameras weren’t rolling — during production on the new Netflix series.

The show centers around a burnt-out, dissatisfied suburbanite named Miles Elliot (Rudd) who attempts to get his mojo back via a strip mall massage parlor. Instead, Miles finds himself with a significantly unhappy ending, waking in a shallow grave and discovering he’s been replaced by, well, himself.

Created by Tim Greenberg and helmed by “Little Miss Sunshine” directors Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris, the show serves as a perfect showcase for Rudd to display both the breadth and depth of his acting ability, playing two similar, but different versions of Miles throughout the first season’s eight episodes.

Rudd, Dayton, and Faris sat down with the hosts of...

Paul Rudd on Acting Opposite Paul Rudd in 'Living With Yourself'
In his latest project, Netflix's Living With Yourself, Paul Rudd follows in the footsteps of Armie Hammer, Lisa Kudrow and Lindsay Lohan in the ultimate acting test — working opposite himself.

"I had never done anything like it," Rudd, 50, tells The Hollywood Reporter. "I think any actor wants to challenge themselves and try new things, and certainly I viewed it as that."

In the eight-episode dramedy series, created by Tim Greenberg, Rudd stars as Miles Elliot, a depressed man frustrated with his life who undergoes an experimental spa treatment in hopes of becoming happy. The treatment ...

‘Living With Yourself’ Review (Netflix Original)
Living With Yourself is a Netflix original starring Paul Rudd alongside other great actors such as Paul Rudd (as he plays his clone) and Aisling Bea. This is a very unusual and strange series that follows the life of Miles Elliot who ends up going to a spa to be cloned for him to live his best life. This is a show with strong language and scenes which means it is not family-friendly, instead it’s a show for a more mature and serious audience.

The show opens in a very strange way, with a man emerging from the ground with what appears to be a plastic bag over his head. This is a very unusual way to start a series but it does exactly what it needs to do - be a shock opening; so shocking that it catches the attention of the audience but also is a subtle...

‘Living With Yourself’: The Cast Explains That Paul Rudd-On-Paul Rudd Fight Scene
For a lot of people, Netflix’s “Living With Yourself” has turned the perfect dream into the perfect live-action reality: Two Paul Rudds, no waiting. The series — about a sad sack named Miles Elliot (Rudd), who undergoes a mysterious spa treatment and comes out the other side with a superior version of himself (Rudd) — has brought the A-list actor to the small screen once more in a starring role, this time with double the Rudd, double the fun.

Only, for both Miles and New Miles, this isn’t fun or a dream: It’s an absolute nightmare, one that culminates in a fight scene between Rudd’s Miles and Rudd’s New Miles in the season finale.

Vulture recently spoke with series creator Timothy Greenberg, Rudd, co-directors Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris, and stage and screen choreographers the Kuperman brothers about how exactly that fight came to be, from the...

Netflix's Living With Yourself: 10 Questions We Have For Season 2

The premise is that Miles Elliot (Rudd) is a depressed man who, desperate to improve his life and find happiness, undergoes a treatment at a spa that promises him a better life. Only he discovers that he has been replaced by a clone of himself. The originals are usually killed and buried, but due to some technical difficulties and malfunctioning equipment, the real Miles survives and digs himself out a grave, only to discover this weird predicament.

Related: What To Expect From Living With Yourself Season 2

The first season, which consisted of just eight half-hour episodes, has been met with pretty good reviews and ended with a twist cliffhanger. So while Netflix hasn’t officially given it the green light for a season 2, it’s likely we’ll see one.

What questions do we need answered?...

In addition to his appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man, he just scored his first leading role in the film Camp as a troubled and abused child who's sent to a healing camp to recover. At the tender age of 11, Miles has already made several TV appearances on such shows as Grey's Anatomy (TV), The Mentalist (TV), Austin & Ally (TV), and Big Time Rush (TV) and also has three or four short films under his belt.
