Actress Hasleen Kaur, who is known for her work in the streaming series ‘Cat’ and ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar’, has started working on her international project titled ‘Ruthless Bastards’. The film is an American-Canadian indie production and stars her in the role of a cold blooded assassin.

The actress will be seen in the role of Ishanna Sidhu in the film representing an Indian gang.

Talking about the same, the actress said: “The director, who has worked primarily on action-drama films most of which were with Jackie Chan, had seen me and liked my work in ‘Cat’. The fact that it was a gritty Drama series and my character in ‘Ruthless Bastards’ required a sense of intensity, helped him visualise me as Ishana.”

After Gang of Ghosts, Meera Chopra is all set to start with her next venture in Bollywood. The actress will be co-starring alongside Pooja Chopra of Commando fame, and former Miss India Hasleen Kaur in a film titled Zindagi Ek Pal. As the title suggests, the film is a light-hearted drama filled with adventure as the three girls set out to explore a life of their own. The film went on floors recently, in the first week of October. While it will be extensively shot in Mumbai, a small shoot schedule is also said to be based in Montenegro in Southern Europe. Produced by Vipul Shah, Zindagi Ek Pal will be directed by debutant Suketu Parekh. The details of the rest of the cast are being kept under wraps and the release date of the film is yet to be finalized.

The former Miss India Earth winner, Hasleen Kaur made her Bollywood debut earlier this year with the film Karle Pyaar Karle. While the movie received mixed response from the audiences, Hasleen was applauded for her performance. Currently, the actress is all excited about her upcoming movie DNA Of Love. With Adhyayan Suman as the main lead, the movie is said to be a romantic thriller, with twists and turns and will release next year. Tuesday 17th December saw the music launch of Suneel Darshan’s forthcoming film, Karle Pyar Karle, at Hard Rock Cafe, Andheri, Mumbai, during an evening that combined old memories with new aspirations. The music was launched by Karisma Kapoor alongside Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt. Karisma attended to support Suneel Darshan as Karle Pyaar Karle marks the debut of his son, Shiv, in Bollywood. It was Suneel’s directorial feature, Raja Hindustani, which boosted the actress’s career when she featured alongside Aamir Khan in the 90′s Box Office smash hit.

Also in attendance at the music launch were Shiv Darshan, Hasleen Kaur, Dharmesh Darshan, Sanjay Suri, Meet Brothers, Tanya Malik, Ankit Raaj, Rayyan Ameen, Prashant Singh, Mumzy, Palak Muchhal, Javed Ali and Rajesh Pandey.

Suneel Darshan, who gave audiences evergreen, Box Office hits such as Ek Rishtaa starring Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar; and Andaaz starring Akshay Kumar, Lara Dutta and Priyanka Chopra, is back from a six-year sabbatical to give Shiv a grand entry into Bollywood, following his acting and dance studies at schools in New York. Femina Miss India Earth 2011, Hasleen Kaur, plays the main lead opposite Shiv Darshan in the film.

The film went on floors yesterday and is going to be shot in and around Mumbai, Pune and Lavasa. The leading lady opposite Shiv Darshan is yet to be finalized however rumour mills suggest that Miss India 2011 runner-up Hasleen Kaur is a strong contender for the role. Suneel Darshan's last venture was Shakalaka Boom Boom which released way back in 2007.
