Nxt Women’s Champion and Tna Knockouts Champion Jacy Jayne was put on notice as Jaida Parker defeated the champion’s Fatal Influence teammate, Jazmyn Nyx. Nyx showed off her swift feet, but it wasn’t enough to pierce the powerful Parker. After hitting the Silencer on Nyx, Parker lined her up for a picture-perfect Hipnotic to win the match in front of Jayne.

WWE’s newest behind-the-scenes series, WWE Unreal, premiered on July 29 on Netflix. The show gave a much deeper inside look into the action that goes behind the curtains with The Final Boss, The Rock being an integral part of this series. The show captured his new persona and creative genius in depth.

This was witnessed leading up to the historic events that happened at the start of this year. With one of the biggest shockers pulled on the road to WrestleMania 41, the entire scenario showed a completely different side of The Rock than what we had thought.

Jasper Troy has been on a meteoric rise ever since stepping into the ring on Lfg, but Je’Von Evans reminded him there are levels to this game. Troy looked to bully his way through the match early on, but Evans would put his aerial skills on display with a splash outside the ring and frog splash that flipped the match. A vicious chokeslam seemed to set up Troy for a victory rally, but Evans was able to reverse into a rollup and escape Great American Bash with a win.

First up was the brash Brad Baylor who took the fight to Saints, but the veteran weathered the early storm and hit a picture-perfect Tornado Ddt to pin the young upstart. Ricky Smokes entered next and immediately planted Saints on his shoulder. A sneak attack by Jackson Drake with the referee distracted worsened the injury even more. Saints ultimately beat Smokes with a jackknife cover, but Drake systematically dissected the Nxt Superstar’s compromised limbs. Still, Saints overcame the challenge and hit...

The Tna World Title remains with Trick Williams, but he already has his hands full with his next potential challenge. Williams quickly learned that he was in for a fight as his power advantage was non-existent against the hulking Briggs, and the sneaky athleticism fooled the champion as the challenger countered a Powerbomb with a Chokeslam that nearly ended the bout. An incredible exchange of moves saw Briggs knock Williams to the mat, but his Moonsault missed the mark, allowing the champion to hit Trick Shot to win the match.

WWE Evolve’s Sean Legacy put up an incredible fight, but the North American Title remains with Ethan Page. The Nxt Universe was firmly behind Legacy and he had the champion in trouble with his high-flying moves and his swift kicks. Unfortunately for him, All Ego is a seasoned veteran and promptly countered a 450 splash into a Twisted Grin to retain his title. Uriah Connors and Kale Dixon did their best to impress Andre Chase, but they bit off more than they could chew against DarkState. The early energy was there for Chase U, but the sheer power of Osiris Griffin changed the game as he took out Connors and Dixon. One of the key elements of WWE is that they believe in their homegrown talents. Talking about homegrown talents, it is their developmental territory that is popular as the Nxt. Under the supervision of Shawn Michaels, WWE has dug out some fine superstars in recent times, namely Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Charlotte Flair and the list is endless.

Two such popular names who are being tipped as the next big things in Nxt for now are Myles Borne and Stephanie Vaquer. Borne is a member of the No Quarter Catch Crew, and despite having his own challenges, he has come out with flying colours. Stephanie Vaquer continues to be the women’s champion in Nxt, which she won after defeating Giulia at Nxt: Roadblock.

A chance to contend for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Title was on the line as Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade, Fatal Influence, The Meta-Girls, and Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley collided in a Fatal 4-Way Elimination Tag Team Match. Perez earned the first elimination, taking out The Meta-Girls after hitting a Pop Rox on Lash Legend. Perez shockingly bailed on the match, leaving Jade to be eliminated by Dolin and Paxley, who used a unique pinning combination.

Vince McMahon didn’t like competition, and he absolutely hated promotions like Total Nonstop Action wrestling (Tna), which directly competed with WWE. With McMahon out of the picture, the new leadership under Triple H is trying to build connections with other promotions in an attempt to expand their influence. We saw the WWE-Aaa deal go down at WrestleMania 41.

On Night Two, Triple H joined forces with Tna when he brought his competitor’s biggest star for a match against Randy Orton. Tna World Champion Joe Hendry accepted Orton’s open challenge and entered the ring at Las Vegas for a match against him. His entrance was teased by WWE before the match, and fans were genuinely surprised at seeing Hendry on WWE’s big night.

The numbers were stacked against The Dark Angel as Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx ran interference for Henley, but Vaquer was too determined to let the odds factor into the decision. The challenger became increasingly frustrated with Fatal Influence’s antics, and she laid them out one by one, leaving her and Henley alone to battle. The Young Og proved he’s much more than just being bouncy as he took down Wes Lee in an incredible one-on-one match. Lee nearly had the match won but his underhanded tactics were spotted by the referee as he tried to put his feet on the ropes for leverage. The Cardiac Kid followed that up with a Cardiac Kick, but not even that was enough to keep his opponent down. Evans dug down deep and put Lee on his back with a clean superkick, followed by a huge twisting splash off the top rope to win the match and gain some much-needed momentum.

Former Nxt Champion Ethan Page is headed to Deadline as he conquered the athletic Axiom in a hard-fought match. The Nxt Tag Team Champion flew around the ring and tried gas Page out, but the savvy veteran slowed the pace before being hit with a stunning Super Spanish Fly from the top rope. Page and Axiom battled with All Ego targeting his opponents back, slowing him down but not enough to stop hit him from hitting an incredible Hurricanrana, but Page countered the Golden Ratio with a huge lariat to win the match.

The two Superstars launched an all-out assault on each other with a host of weapons, culminating in Parker nailing a Teardrop off a ladder through another ladder, but it wasn’t enough to put Vice away. Vice rallied and smashed a trashcan onto Parker, beating her with precision strikes as well as a kendo stick before hitting a hip attack. It is best known for being WWE's third brand, but tonight, Nxt paid tribute to Ecw as they took over the famous 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pa. The night was filled with cameos from Ecw staples like The Dudley Boyz, Dawn Marie, and Rhyno, and was opened by Nxt's first hardcore match between Jaida Parker and Lola Vice. Wes Lee would regret assaulting Rob Van Dam with a steel chair before his match with Je'von Evans, as Rvd then headed to ringside to distract Lee and enable Evans to get the win.

The Street Profits return to Nxt ended in disaster when The Bloodline made their first ever trip to Nxt to take out their SmackDown rivals. Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins electrified the Nxt Universe and kept the champions on their toes, nearly winning the match on several occasions. The Street Profits seemed to have the match won, but Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa and Jacob Fatu appeared and laid out all four Superstars, sending a message that they are dangerous everywhere they go.

After Axiom hit the Spanish Fly on Chase off the top rope, Frazer took to the air with the Phoenix Splash follow up to help the self-proclaimed “Fraxiom” once again claim the gold. Wes Lee, Trey Miguel and Zach Wentz were victorious in their first match together in Nxt, taking down Gallus in Six-Man Tag Team action. The speedy Rascalz kept Gallus off-balance to begin the match, but the power of Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey and Wolfgang leveled the playing field. Out of nowhere, Vic Joseph innocuously said Joe Hendry’s name and he appeared, much to the delight of the Nxt Universe, and the Tna star joined the Nxt commentary team for the match. When the action continued, Lee used a huge stomp from the top rope to score the win.
