Match #1: Jaida Parker def. Jazmyn Nyx The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Nxt Women’s Champion and Tna Knockouts Champion Jacy Jayne was put on notice as Jaida Parker defeated the champion’s Fatal Influence teammate, Jazmyn Nyx. Nyx showed off her swift feet, but it wasn’t enough to pierce the powerful Parker. After hitting the Silencer on Nyx, Parker lined her up for a picture-perfect Hipnotic to win the match in front of Jayne.

WWE’s newest behind-the-scenes series, WWE Unreal, premiered on July 29 on Netflix. The show gave a much deeper inside look into the action that goes behind the curtains with The Final Boss, The Rock being an integral part of this series. The show captured his new persona and creative genius in depth.
This was witnessed leading up to the historic events that happened at the start of this year. With one of the biggest shockers pulled on the road to WrestleMania 41, the entire scenario showed a completely different side of The Rock than what we had thought.
5. The Rock Wanting Kevin Owens to Win WWE Title Showed Belief in Rising Talent Kevin Owens on WWE live television/Credits: WWE
The Rock is a board member of WWE’s parent company, Tko Group Holdings. Naturally, it would mean that he would want a thriving future for the company that involved countless new stars.

Match #1: Je’Von Evans def. Jasper Troy The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Jasper Troy has been on a meteoric rise ever since stepping into the ring on Lfg, but Je’Von Evans reminded him there are levels to this game. Troy looked to bully his way through the match early on, but Evans would put his aerial skills on display with a splash outside the ring and frog splash that flipped the match. A vicious chokeslam seemed to set up Troy for a victory rally, but Evans was able to reverse into a rollup and escape Great American Bash with a win.

Match #1: Gauntlet Match – Ricky Saints def. The Vanity Project The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Ricky Saints overcame the Vanity Project in a Gauntlet Match and earned himself a match against Ethan Page at the Great American Bash. First up was the brash Brad Baylor who took the fight to Saints, but the veteran weathered the early storm and hit a picture-perfect Tornado Ddt to pin the young upstart. Ricky Smokes entered next and immediately planted Saints on his shoulder. A sneak attack by Jackson Drake with the referee distracted worsened the injury even more. Saints ultimately beat Smokes with a jackknife cover, but Drake systematically dissected the Nxt Superstar’s compromised limbs. Still, Saints overcame the challenge and hit...

Match #1: Tna World Championship – Trick Williams def. Josh Briggs The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Tna World Title remains with Trick Williams, but he already has his hands full with his next potential challenge. Williams quickly learned that he was in for a fight as his power advantage was non-existent against the hulking Briggs, and the sneaky athleticism fooled the champion as the challenger countered a Powerbomb with a Chokeslam that nearly ended the bout. An incredible exchange of moves saw Briggs knock Williams to the mat, but his Moonsault missed the mark, allowing the champion to hit Trick Shot to win the match.

Throughout his time in WWE, Shawn Michaels has seamlessly evolved into various roles, a legendary in-ring performer, a founding member of D-Generation X, and now a mentor to the next generation of superstars. In every role, his hard work and dedication have consistently reflected the kind of person he is beyond the spotlight.
Even after he retired from professional wrestling, fans admire and celebrate the iconic moments he has given to the WWE universe. The wrestling community has long wanted a biopic celebrating his life, and Shawn Michaels has a clear pick for who should play his role on the big screen.

Match #1: Nxt North American Championship – Ethan Page def. Sean Legacy The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
WWE Evolve’s Sean Legacy put up an incredible fight, but the North American Title remains with Ethan Page. The Nxt Universe was firmly behind Legacy and he had the champion in trouble with his high-flying moves and his swift kicks. Unfortunately for him, All Ego is a seasoned veteran and promptly countered a 450 splash into a Twisted Grin to retain his title. After the match, Ricky Saints appeared out of nowhere and brawled with Page around the arena.

That opened the door for the new Nxt super crew to launch Dixon with a thunderous group Powerbomb to win the bout.

Naomi is officially headed to Los Angeles to compete in the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match after defeating her rival Jade Cargill as well as Nia Jax. The caution tape clad Superstar shined early but the inevitable power of Cargill evened the playing field, but it was a Jax leg drop from the top rope that nearly ended the match early. Cargill nailed Naomi with Jaded, but Jax bulldozed her opponents to break up the pin and kept the match alive, and a subsequent Super Samoan Drop from Jax and a huge splash from Cargill couldn’t end the bout either.

One of the key elements of WWE is that they believe in their homegrown talents. Talking about homegrown talents, it is their developmental territory that is popular as the Nxt. Under the supervision of Shawn Michaels, WWE has dug out some fine superstars in recent times, namely Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Charlotte Flair and the list is endless.
Two such popular names who are being tipped as the next big things in Nxt for now are Myles Borne and Stephanie Vaquer. Borne is a member of the No Quarter Catch Crew, and despite having his own challenges, he has come out with flying colours. Stephanie Vaquer continues to be the women’s champion in Nxt, which she won after defeating Giulia at Nxt: Roadblock.

Vince McMahon didn’t like competition, and he absolutely hated promotions like Total Nonstop Action wrestling (Tna), which directly competed with WWE. With McMahon out of the picture, the new leadership under Triple H is trying to build connections with other promotions in an attempt to expand their influence. We saw the WWE-Aaa deal go down at WrestleMania 41.
On Night Two, Triple H joined forces with Tna when he brought his competitor’s biggest star for a match against Randy Orton. Tna World Champion Joe Hendry accepted Orton’s open challenge and entered the ring at Las Vegas for a match against him. His entrance was teased by WWE before the match, and fans were genuinely surprised at seeing Hendry on WWE’s big night.

The Australian powerhouse Zaria conquered Lash Legend to punch her ticket to Stand & Deliver where she’ll compete in a Six-Woman Ladder Match for the vacant Nxt Women’s North American Championship. Triple H’s WWE is welcoming all those who left the company years ago for the rival organization Aew. He welcomed back Andrade a year back. There are rumors of Malakai Black’s return as well. As this rumor started to swirl around, WWE and Triple H have acquired another recently released Aew talent. Miro was recently seen in the WWE Headquarters and PWInsider has reported that he has signed a contract with them. Miro was last seen on Aew TV/PPV defeating Andrade at Worlds End 2023.
The wrestler had a lengthy run in WWE as well. He was a part of the roster for 7 years. Rusev won titles, became insanely popular, but then left because of the frustrations he had with WWE creative. What was the creative direction Vince McMahon took before he left?

Match #1: Tna Tag Team Championship The Hardy Boyz def. Fraxiom The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Matt and Jeff Hardy proved that they are still the team to beat as they defeated Nathan Frazer and Axiom to retain the Tna Tag Team Title. The incredibly athletic offense from Fraxiom saw them hit their Spanish Fly/Phoenix Splash combo, but the veteran savvy of The Hardyz allowed them to stay in the matchup just long enough. Fraxiom’s attempt at a High Low backfired as Axiom accidentally hit Frazer, allowing Jeff to nail a Swanton Bomb to give them the win.

Match #1: Nxt Women’s North American Championship – Stephanie Vaquer def. Karmen Petrovic The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Stephanie Vaquer is still the Women’s North American Champion, but Karmen Petrovic was more than game in the most impressive showing in her young career. A noticeably more aggressive Petrovic had the champion stunned on several occasions, but a well-timed Dragon Screw from the top rope and a subsequent Svb gave the champion the win. As Vaquer celebrated in the ring, Nxt Women’s Champion Giulia arrived on the scene and challenged her longtime friend to a Title vs. Title Match at a future date.

Match #1: Nxt Women’s North American Championship – Stephanie Vaquer def. Fallon Henley The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
La Primera is officially a champion, as Stephanie Vaquer captured the Nxt Women’s North American Title from Fallon Henley in thrilling fashion. The numbers were stacked against The Dark Angel as Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx ran interference for Henley, but Vaquer was too determined to let the odds factor into the decision. The challenger became increasingly frustrated with Fatal Influence’s antics, and she laid them out one by one, leaving her and Henley alone to battle. Now engaged in a one-on-one fight with the titleholder, Vaquer hit a marvelous Corkscrew Moonsault to become the new Nxt Women’s North American Champion.

Lee nearly had the match won but his underhanded tactics were spotted by the referee as he tried to put his feet on the ropes for leverage. The Cardiac Kid followed that up with a Cardiac Kick, but not even that was enough to keep his opponent down. It is best known for being WWE's third brand, but tonight, Nxt paid tribute to Ecw as they took over the famous 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pa. The night was filled with cameos from Ecw staples like The Dudley Boyz, Dawn Marie, and Rhyno, and was opened by Nxt's first hardcore match between Jaida Parker and Lola Vice. Wes Lee would regret assaulting Rob Van Dam with a steel chair before his match with Je'von Evans, as Rvd then headed to ringside to distract Lee and enable Evans to get the win.

Ethan Page may have an “All Ego” in-ring persona, but in actuality, the driven pro wrestler has always bet on himself and knew his worth. This confidence and work ethic translated to a meteoric rise in WWE. After his shocking arrival to Nxt from Aew in May, the veteran performer went on to capture the Nxt Championship at Heatwave a little over a month later. Page looks to continue his monumental run as Nxt moves from USA Network to The CW on October 1. During the loaded premiere, the champ will defend against former title holder Trick Williams with Cm Punk serving as special referee. Here the brand’s current top star opens up about his WWE journey so far and what he hopes to accomplish. With a young family, did you feel any added pressure signing this contract knowing it was the one you’ve always wanted growing up and being a fan?...

Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt, right here on Nerdly. Let’s get straight into it and see what went down in this episode…
Match #1: The Rascalz def. Gallus The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Wes Lee, Trey Miguel and Zach Wentz were victorious in their first match together in Nxt, taking down Gallus in Six-Man Tag Team action. The speedy Rascalz kept Gallus off-balance to begin the match, but the power of Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey and Wolfgang leveled the playing field. Out of nowhere, Vic Joseph innocuously said Joe Hendry’s name and he appeared, much to the delight of the Nxt Universe, and the Tna star joined the Nxt commentary team for the match. When the action continued, Lee used a huge stomp from the top rope to score the win.
My Score: 4 out of 5 Match #2: Je’Von Evans def. Brooks Jensen The following is courtesy of wwe.

Match #1: Karmen Petrovic def. Arianna Grace The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Karmen Petrovic picked up one of the biggest wins of her singles career, but it came at a cost. The two Superstars may have teamed together at Nxt Heatwave, but that was ancient history as they went right after each other, only for their former opponents Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx to come to the ringside area. Petrovic sent a message to all three of them by cracking Grace with a devastating kick to score the win. However, after the match, Fallon Henley appeared and took Petrovic out, continuing to wreak havoc on the Nxt women’s locker room.
My Score: 0 out of 5 Match #2: Nxt Heritage Cup Championship – Tony D’Angelo def.

Match #1: Nxt North American Championship – Oba Femi def. Wes Lee The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Wes Lee is officially out of options as the Nxt North American Championship remains with the towering Oba Femi. The monstrous Femi brutalized Lee in the early parts of the match, not only tossing him around the ring but also the outlying area by throwing him into the exposed underside of the ring. The resilient Lee refused to give in, but...

Match #1: No. 1 Contender to Nxt Title Battle Royal – Winner: Je’Von Evans The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Young Og punched his ticket to Nxt Heatwave by outlasting twenty four other Superstars to win the No. 1 Contender Battle Royal. Competitors came far and wide, including SmackDown’s Tyler Bate and Apollo Crews, as well as Tna’s Joe Hendry and Frankie Kazarian. Bodies flew, chaos reigned, and the field slowly whittled to just Kazarian, SmackDown’s Dragon Lee, Je’Von Evans, and Shawn Spears. Lee didn’t realize that Spears was still a legal competitor as the electrifying luchador was tossed off the top rope to the outside. With just Evans and Spears left, The Young Og proved that he’s worthy...

Match #1: Jordynne Grace def. Stevie Turner The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Tna Knockouts Champion lived up to the hype and more as Jordynne Grace demolished Stevie Turner before her matchup with Nxt Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez at Battleground. Grace knocked Turner all around the ring and the British Superstar could sustain any offense as one Juggernaut Driver secured the victory. After the match, Perez got into the ring, shoved Grace, and nearly was slammed to the mat before she got out of dodge.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Jazmyn Nyx def. Thea Hail The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The turmoil surrounding Chase U spelled bad news for Thea Hail Jazmyn Nyx picked up a huge win.

Match #1: Michin def. Tatum Paxley The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Michin is one step closer to making history as she defeated Tatum Paxley in a Women’s Nxt North American Championship Qualifying Match. Before the bell could even ring, both Superstars battled it out as Paxley tried to grab the newly unveiled title from the grasp of rapper Sexyy Red, and Michin didn’t take kindly to the disrespect. Michin looked as impressive as ever as she hit a huge dive to the outside as well as a devastating pounce, but the resilient Paxley absorbed every big shot and came just seconds away from winning the match herself. The two Superstars matched each other’s energy, but a perfect counter from...
