Paramount Global has announced the 12 cast members as well as the producing team for the 2023 CBS Showcase. A premiere screening event will be held in Hollywood on Tuesday, Jan. 17. Additional virtual screenings will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 18 and Thursday, Jan. 19 at 1 Pm, Pt, 4 Pm, Pt and 7 Pm, Pt.

ViacomCBS has selected the 16 performers from across the country for the virtual edition of the 2021 Showcase. The live streaming event will take place on February 17 at 4Pm Pt and February 18 at 1Pm Pt and 4Pm Pt. The February 17 event will be followed by a Q&a with the creative team.

Aline Mayagoitia, Kausar Mohammed, Natasha Behnam, Dev Middleton, Artoun Nazareth, Laura de la Fuente, Ibanda Ruhumbika, Morgan Jay, Asia Martin, Calvin Seabrooks, Lauren Walker, Nicole Pasquale, Andrea Lopez, Sahib Singh, Shannon DeVido and Jordan Mendoza will “showcase” their talent in the annual live hybrid comedy-Broadway-sketch show that started 16 years ago. Showcase, which features all original and creative material, is an event to spotlight diverse talent, Showcase is attended by senior-level executives, showrunners and casting directors from ViacomCBS properties, as well as other networks and talent agents/managers from across the entertainment industry.

Following a dream auditor named James Preble (Audley) who ventures to a remote farmhouse for his latest assignment, he’s tasked with auditing the dreams of the eccentric, elderly Bella (Penny Fuller), who has failed to file hers for decades. Fondly recalling Michel Gondry’s Science of Sleep as reality and dreams start to meld, the film is equal parts lovely and frightening as it explores romantic bliss, destructive capitalism, and the significance of the subconscious state we all spend a third of our lives experiencing.

ViacomCBS’ 2021 Showcase is going virtual this year — and they have set the producing team for the annual event that highlights diverse talent in the industry. Tess Paras will executive produce and direct while Tien Tran will serve as executive produce and return as head writer. Frank Garcia-Hejl joins as producer and associate director and rounding out the team is Tyler Davis who will serve as producer and associate head writer. This year’s group of performers and event date will be announced at a later date.

Showcase has developed into a hybrid comedy show with Broadway-worthy live performances and original, creative writing. USA Network will premiere Season 3 of “Temptation Island,” a show designed to test the relationships of four couples, on Feb. 16 at 10 p.m. The couples, consisting of Erica Washington and Kendal Kirkland, Erin Smith and Corey Sobczyk, Kristen Ramos and Julien Allen, and Chelsea Orcutt and Thomas Gipson, will visit Maui to be immersed in a group of 24 single people with interest in the contestants. With host Mark Wahlberg, the couples will find out if temptation can break up their partnership or if they are meant to last. Watch a teaser for the new season below.
